Chapter 208: REVELATIONS
After they were done having their breakfast, the four of them walked inside the library and Erika kept her senses up. She didn’t trust either of them but she would like to see what they’d planned for her.
After stepping her feet inside the library, Erika glanced around the place before she asked, "I thought you want to create some memories, what are we doing here? Shouldn’t we be going out or something?"
Felicia slightly chuckled as she took steps towards Erika. "This place is quiet and the air here is very calm, it will be the best place to create memories, don’t you think?" She asked Erika back. Without waiting for Erika to respond, she walked towards the chair that had been set aside from the shelves and brought one for both her and Erika to sit on.
If this act had been seen by some ordinary people, then they would have thought that they were close friends and Felicia was trying to consider Erika by bringing her a seat. But Erika knew better than to think that way. She wasn’t going to let her guard down for this act.
"Sit," Felicia pointed to the chair. She placed her chair and took a seat for herself. Both Mary and Juliet were already seated and they waited for what would unfold in front of them. They knew truly well that Felicia was up to something and they would like to see what it was since it was going to hurt Erika.
Erika took a seat and waited for Felicia to speak and the latter didn’t make her wait too long before she did.
"So Erika, just like you said. We are here to create some memories just like you said so we will start by remembering the times when you just got married to Adrian. That moment must have been the best one for you, wasn’t it?"
Erika scoffed before clicking her tongue. This was the kind of memory they were talking about? Erika thought to herself. Well, what was she expecting from them? To think of something good? That was never going to happen. They wouldn’t seize a chance to remind her of her painful past but she’d come prepared for them. Fully prepared.
"You were so madly in love with Adrian at that time, you got married to him with the hope that he would love you too but...tsk tsk tsk.... You were so stupid," Felicia continued expecting to see a raged Erika but the latter only responded to her comment by giving a brief nod. "You did everything you could but that never work, so sad."
"You are right Felicia, I was stupid. Very stupid I must say but I don’t think I was the only one," Erika replied calmly. "If you think about it, you were stupid also for cheating on Adrian with so many men and expected the affair...oops, I meant affairs not to have been revealed," Erika corrected herself. As she said those words, she glanced at Mary and was certain she had seen her glare at Felicia for a second before turning to face her.
"Like I said, it was only for my satisfaction," Felicia replied with a chin raised high and mighty.
’She must think that she’s still some classy person,’ Erika thought to herself.
Suddenly Juliet asked, "How can you even say that with a straight face?"
"Why shouldn’t I? Your brother was the reason I cheated on him. He kept on having Erika as his wife and if he’d rejected the marriage that your late grandma had arranged before, then none of this would have happened."
As usual, Felicia couldn’t own up to her mistakes and would only push them towards Erika, which the latter found very tiring lately. If the world decides to end on my head, I’m sure she’d still blame me, Erika thought to herself.
"It’s all your fault, Erika. To think that you were able to find another man right after you divorced Adrian still surprises me. Did you keep yours and Ethan’s relationship a secret and only waited for you and Adrain to divorce so that you can publicly announce it?" Felicia questioned Erika with a tone full of spite. It was as if she wanted to stain Erika’s name for the whole world to see but unfortunately, the people she had as an audience already despised Erika and found everything normal.
"I’ve already been seeing Ethan even before I got married to Adrian," she revealed. Since both she and Ethan had been childhood friends, it was only right to say that they’d been seeing each other because it was the truth.
"That’s despicable," Mary commented this time and she glared at Erika disgustingly.
"That’s not despicable Mary," said Erika. "I think the real despicable thing is that your daughter-in-law always took pics of both she and Adrain after they were done with their love-making session and sent them to me," she added.
Both Juliet and Mary turned to look at Felicia with a shocked look.
"You were the one who created that scandal?" Felicia demanded from Erika with clenched fists teeth gnashing together as if they wanted to create fire in her mouth.
"What do you think?" Erika questioned back. "You didn’t think that I would divorce Adrian, reject the alimony, and want you two to live in peace after how you nearly destroyed my mental health, did you? Besides, you sent me those pictures so that I can release them, right?" Erika asked with a raised eyebrow.
Felicia couldn’t believe what she was hearing from Erika. She had sent those pics and videos to Erika so that she could be even more saddened than she thought she already was, not to expose them.
On the other hand, Juliet and Mary hadn’t expected this revelation one bit. Felicia had never once told them that she was the one who sent Erika the pictures and videos that she was using to create a scandal. And that Erika was the one who truly created the scandal. They only had their doubts but it was never confirmed.
"What? Don’t tell me that you are surprised to know that I’m the one who was behind the scandal?" Erika asked as she enjoyed the look on their faces. They wanted memories right, how about I share some more with them? Erika thought to herself.
