Chapter 209: MORE REVELATIONS
"You have no shame!" Felicia barked at Erika like a dog whose bone had been forcefully taken away from it. "Why would you even do that?"
Erika scoffed, "Didn’t you hear what I’m saying or have you suddenly turned dead? I was only making use of the goods you sent me," she said innocently. Before Felicia could continue to throw blame and insults, Erika continued, "I also heard that scandal was the reason the Evans family couldn’t stand strong and needed the Hart family for assistance, am I right?"
"You bitch!" Felicia sprang up from her seat, ready to attack Erika but the latter slowly raised her eyes before saying,
"I thought we were making memories, Felicia. I think it would be better if you sit back down and let us continue because you see, there are indeed a lot of memories that we do need to share," Erika said to Felicia with a calm yet demanding tone which left Felicia with no other choice than to clear her throat before she took her seat.
"Where was I again?" Erika asked no one in particular. "Oh right! So I thought that since Felicia was a shameless woman, she would be the one who would be shamed the most if any of those videos were to be released and it did. Just like a blow, it hit the Evans corporations. It was like killing two birds with one stone."
"You were the one who destroyed my family?!" Felicia barked again out of anger.
Erika rubbed her temples and released a tired sigh before saying, "When are you going to learn that you can’t blame me for every single thing that happens in your life? That’s not how life works. You have to own up to your mistakes sometimes"
"You are truly evil," Juliet commented as she shook her head with a disappointed look on her face.
"You are saying that to the wrong person. Look at your sister-in-law and say those words, not me because I don’t think I did anything wrong. Just like Felicia said that she cheated on Adrian because she was looking for satisfaction, I did what I did because I wanted to see your family suffer and I was satisfied when all my plans succeeded," Erika replied happily.
Even though she was still kidnapped, she wouldn’t miss a chance to mock these people just like they thought they would be the ones mocking her at the moment.
"What do you mean by plan?" Mary questioned Erika.
Erika smirked before she replied, "Have you ever wondered why the Hart corporations were never able to find any big companies to partner with? Well, that was because of me."
"What did you mean by it was because of you?" Juliet questioned Erika.
Erika sighed before she responded, "I was the one who bought out the investors. Any new investor or partners that the Hart corporation would end up having, I would buy them out."
After the scandal that Erika had created with those obscene pictures of Adrian and Felicia, she noticed that the Hart corporation was beginning to thrive again and that was when she struck again, buying most of their top investors and leaving them with a few who weren’t powerful enough to do anything for their business.
"How can you be so heartless? Because of you....."
"Because of me what?" Erika cut Felicia off. "Adrian lost the company and home? I wasn’t planning on letting him live in peace anyway, that was not a part of my plan," she shrugged.
The way the words fell out of her mouth could assure someone that she didn’t have any remorse whatsoever. She enjoyed what she did and liked the outcome. The one that she enjoyed the most was Felicia’s downfall. The scar on her face served as proof of it.
"Have you ever thought of how I got to find out about your affairs with so many rich men?" This question was directed to Felicia whose face had turned red with anger. "You still remember Mr Gustavo’s party right? The same party where you said that I stole Ethan from you? The same party that I saw you banging in the middle of a hidden corner. You were so drowned by that man that you didn’t even hear the capture sound of my camera when I took a photo of you two."
Felicia felt embarrassed, not because of what she’d done but because someone else could have seen her apart from Erika. She wasn’t too careful at that party. Even Adrian could have figured out the whole thing if he had the brain to analyze things smartly.
"Was that the only photo you took?" Felicia asked Erika and the latter nodded her head.
"That was the only photo I took with my phone but of course, after finding out that you were a cheating wife, I had another goal and that was to end yours and Adrian’s marriage for good. When I say end. I don’t mean by paper," Erika clarified. "I mean for him to despise you. It was for the both of you to despise each other and that also worked in my favor because what kind of marriage would work when the wife is a cheating one and was with her husband only because he was rich and when the husband finds out that the woman he thought he loved, had been cheating on him multiple times?" She asked them but they all turned quiet. "The more I walk on the path of revenge against your families, the more I keep digging out secrets that you think you’ve buried."
The other three women were left speechless now. For the very first time, they were finally going to admit that Erika wasn’t the same Erika anymore. The girl who claimed to be an orphan girl and dreamed of marrying Adrain and would do anything for them compared to the one who was seated in front of them, smiling at them with cold eyes, weren’t the same people. Erika has changed.
