Chapter 148: SOONER OR LATER
"That’s simply because I can’t do it all alone", said Madam Laura.
"What do you mean?" Felicia asked the woman.
Sighing, the woman said, "I need help if I want to leave here. I can’t do it all alone".
"How about those lackeys of yours? Don’t you trust them?" Felicia asked and Madam Laura nodded.
"They are only being close to me because they know what am capable of", she said. "But behind my back, they are talking rubbish about me."
"Of course they would, you are a heartless woman", said Felicia and she ended up receiving a glare from Madam Laura. "Sorry," she mumbled softly.
"No problem, so what do you say?" she asked.
Felicia gave it some thought before she spoke,
"How am I sure that you wouldn’t turn your back on me and report me to the wardens?"
"I won’t do that because I know that you will also expose me which will only lead to the both of us getting punished by those wardens", Madam Laura replied.
’That’s right’, Felicia thought to herself. She hadn’t planned on involving anyone in her escape but it seemed she would need someone who already knew the routes of the prison and every secret passageway.
"Alright, you can come but only on one condition", said Felicia.
"What is it?"
"I’m going to stop doing all of your errands so you will pass them on to someone else", she answered.
"Sure," Madam Laura replied. "Now that we are going to be a team, I wouldn’t want you to be too tired on the day of our escape", she explained.
Felicia nodded in understanding and stood up from the ground to sit on the hard bed instead.
Madam Laura turned to look at her and asked,
"Who scarred you like this? Did you offend someone?"
Felicia touched her face before she replied, "No, the person who did this to me will pay for she was the one to offend me and make my life a living hell. She should be the one in jail and not me but look, she gave me this scar and am on here", her tone laced with annoyance and rage as she clenched her fist.
"What did she do?" Madam Laura asked. As the boss of the inmates, she knows most of the crimes the prisoners had committed but has never heard of Felicia’s which piqued her curiosity.
"She stole my husband from me", lied Felicia. From her angle of how things had turned out, she believed it was Erika who was chasing Adrian and not the other way around. "And she is the reason I want to leave here so that I can make her suffer for destroying my life".
Madam Laura could see the rage in Felicia’s eyes and was stunned. Seems this Erika of a girl must have done unspeakable things, she thought to herself.
"If you want, I can help you get your revenge on Erika", madam Laura offered and Felicia raised a questioning brow at her.
"How?"
Madam Laura slightly chuckled before she spoke,
"I have a lot of men outside this prison and as their boss, I can order them to help you teach Erika a lesson. If you want her dead, crippled, or for her to be in a coma, name it and I will assist you".
"And what will you be getting from all of these?" Felicia asked with suspicion.
"Nothing", she shrugged. "I just want to help you since you seem to be angry at this person. And what she did to your face is horrible".
Felicia became glad that she had found someone who could help her get her revenge on Erika. Smiling, she agreed,
"Yes, I want her dead. But before that, I want her to be slightly paralyzed and I also want acid to be poured on her face so that it will be ruined and she won’t be able to snatch any woman’s husband", she said slowly with a sinister smile, as if picturing the image in her head. "Women like her shouldn’t be alive to see the next sunlight."
"That’s good".
"But when should we escape?" Felicia asked. Although she was on board with the plan to escape, a perfect date still needed to be fixed for a successful runaway. Else, if she is caught, she might never have the chance to do it again.
"There is a celebration happening here, it’s the anniversary of this prison. Everyone will be very busy on that day so it’s a better chance for you, me and that mother-law of us to escape but before that, we need to mark the routes we will be using and also, don’t forget to inform your brother about our plan and tell him to get ready on that day so he can come and pick us up", madam Laura explained and Felicia nodded obediently.
"Of course", she replied, ready to stand up to inform Mary about their plans. "I will tell my mother-in-law now", she said and left the cell room.
Felicia arrived at her cell and found Mary, walking up to her, she pulled her away from there to head to an empty spot so that their conversations wouldn’t be heard.
"Guess what?" Felicia asked.
"What is it?"
"Our dream of escaping from his hell hole is going to be fulfilled soon", Felicia replied excitedly.
Confused, Mary asked, "What do you mean?"
"Madam Laura wants to join our team and escape from here, along with us".
"What?" Mary gasped. "But why would she need to join us? I’m sure she can leave on her own."
"I thought the same thing but she explained that...." Felicia narrated Madam Laura’s reason to Mary and the latter frowned.
"I can’t believe that she was only pulling up a facade", she commented.
"That’s right and the other amazing thing is she is going to help me get my revenge on Erika, that bitch is going to die in my hands", she informed with a satisfactory look and Mary couldn’t be anymore happier.
"That’s good, sooner or later, we will meet Erika again, and this time, she will know who the boss is", said Mary with a devious smirk evident on her lips.
