Chapter 142: MUST INFORM
Jake groaned in pain due to the impact and he ended up falling on the ground, for the third time. Felix didn’t feel pity for him and continued with his torture until the police arrived and dragged him away.
"You are going to pay", Felix promised as the police officers led Jake into her car.
Monica reached Felix and encircled her hands on his wrist, "You should have hit him between his legs. I’m sure that would teach him a better lesson," she said and the both of them chuckled.
"What did you spray in his eyes?" he asked her.
"Pepper spray".
"Hmm...nice one", he said before he hugged her. Together, they entered his car and drove away happily. Now, Jake is no longer a problem.
At the Davis mansion, Jasmine was casually taking a walk around the mansion, thinking about how wrongly she had behaved which only made her feel even more guilty than she already was.
"Felicia", her father suddenly called her. "Come here, there is something that we need to do", he added.
Jasmine released a sigh before she strode towards him.
"Yes, Dad?" She replied.
"I was thinking, since Ethan and Erika are not living in the city, why don’t we abduct Erika and try to use her to make Ethan get married to you", he suggested. If it were other times, Jasmine’s mind would be very pleased to hear him but now, things her changed, and she wondered how he could come up with such a devious plan.
"But then, we would be offending Ethan and he can choose to send people after us," she said.
"if he does that, then we might just have to kill Erika", he replied. "But I will still ask him to sign the property papers", he added.
Jasmine internally gritted her teeth as she tried to contain her anger. How can he talk about death so easily? She asked herself.
"Of course Dad", she replied with a forced smile.
After their discussion and planning, Jasmine decided to go out, not to meet with Andrew but to meet with Erika.
Jasmine arrived at the Anderson corporations with the hope that the security would let her in but unfortunately, she was immediately stopped when she was about to pass.
"Mam, am sorry but you can’t be allowed in the building", the security man said.
"But I need to talk to someone, even if it’s just for a few minutes please", she pleaded but the security man didn’t seem to buy her excuse.
"I’m sorry but the order was from the CEO himself", he said.
Sighing, Jasmine tried to call Ethan’s number but he had already blacklisted her.
"What am I going to do now?" she mumbled to herself until she spotted Peter, who was about to exit the building with some files in his hands.
Waving her hand towards him, she tried to get his attention, "Peter!" she called out loud and the man halted in his footsteps.
Peter turned around to look for the person who had just called his name only for his eyes to land on Jasmine who was still waving at him.
"That witch, what does she want now?" He asked himself before he started walking towards her. "What are you doing here? Didn’t your father already tell you that your family has been banned from entering this building?" He asked her and she shook her head before parting her lips to speak,
"Peter, please, I need to see Ethan or Erika, it’s very urgent please", she pleaded.
"I’m sorry but it’s the rule that boss Ethan has pl...."
"It’s a life or death situation", she interrupted him as she stared at him with pleading eyes.
"Are you planning on killing yourself this time?" He asked her and Jasmine only wished she had found an employee much more sensible than Peter.
"No, am not. But it will be on your head if anything happens to Erika", she suddenly said, making the young man stare at her.
Why would she be talking about Erika, aren’t the both of them mortal enemies? he thought to himself.
"What do you mean?" He asked her.
"I can only talk to either Ethan or Erika," she replied. The young man contemplated if he should inform his boss or not. But he wouldn’t be losing anything if she was just pretending but if her words were true then...
He shook his head before reaching for his phone and called Ethan.
In the CEO’s office, both Ethan and Erika were making out before his phone suddenly started to ring.
"Ethan, your phone", Erika said as she tried to part from him but the man wouldn’t let her.
"Let it be, it will kept quiet when it’s done ringing", he replied as he held Erika’s held in place so that she could stop moving.
Erika opened her eyes to look at the number, "It’s Peter, it could be important". She pushed him on the shoulders and he reluctantly let her go.
"He is not getting his bonus for this month, that’s for sure", Ethan mumbled to himself and Erika giggled. He picked up his phone and demanded, "What?"
Peter instantly regretted calling him when the call connected since he was annoyed as if he had interrupted something important.
"Boss, Jasmine is here, and she...."
"Send her away", said Ethan. Peter looked at Jasmine who was waiting for him to finish with his call.
"Boss, she said she wants to talk to you..." Peter added.
"There is nothing for us to talk about, send her away", Ethan repeated intending to hang up the phone but Peter continued,
"She said Ms. Erika’s life is in danger", Peter spoke as fast as he could before his boss hung up on the call.
When the call suddenly went quiet, Peter had to check if he had already hung up on him or not but it was ongoing. "Boss," Peter called.
"Send her in", Ethan said and hung up on the call.
