Chapter 173: Making Technical Things out of Bodies
"So, how many did we manage to kill today?" Brian sat on a stone and asked.
In front of him, Guo Ming stood and saluted him.
"Commander, we killed over 1400 monsters. Because our tokens record the total number of creatures we kill, we found that you managed to kill over eight hundred and fifty-three creatures today."
"Except for you, Mu Lan killed the most which were two hundred and twenty. Since Su Xing and Tuan Sing came late, they could barely kill any. As for Juan and Qing, they managed to kill nearly a hundred in total."
"As for the rest, they killed a lot less."
"Eight hundred and fifty-three. Well, isn’t that a coincidence? Now, I only have to kill one million five hundred creatures to reach the top." Brian chuckled as he slowly stood.
Hearing his words, Guo Ming was shocked.
"Commander, are you trying to reach the top within a year?"
"Wouldn’t that be fun?" Brian smirked.
"That would be fun but only if you manage to survive." Cao Ping walked over as she spoke while rolling her eyes. Brian was the only person who seemed quite arrogant but while backing up his words.
It would sound arrogant but the problem was that he wasn’t talking with arrogance.
"Didn’t I just change the rule of Wu Region? Shouldn’t I back it up with my actions?" Brian smirked as he clapped his hands.
His action gathered everyone’s attention.
"Alright, everyone! Rest well, tonight! We will start our training in the early morning. Since we shouldn’t be facing any immediate threat, we will train for a week."
"Of course, we are going to send some people to watch our enemies’ movements. You don’t need to be worried about that. Just focus on resting."
Hearing his words, the entire legion felt incredibly excited. During that battle, not a single one of them lost their life. Although some of them got critically injured, they were still able to heal in a few hours.
"How are you going to train them all if you send some people to scout the area? Are you planning on sending the strongest disciples to scout while training the weaker disciples?" Cao Ping moved closer and whispered.
"Of course not! I plan to work on something tonight. Anyway, have you managed to capture blood for those monster beasts?" Brian shook his head and asked.
Cao Ping pouted with an angry expression. But, she looked incredibly cute. Brian got closer and kissed her lips. After kissing her, he chuckled.
"You look so cute when you are angry."
Although it didn’t seem like much to him, Guo Ming who was still near watched it with a dumbfounded expression. Not just him, but others were also dumbfounded.
They couldn’t believe that commander would kiss his girlfriend in the public. And, he didn’t even look bothered by it.
But the most embarrassed one was Cao Ping. She couldn’t even react to his kiss for a moment. She wanted to get angry but his words kept resounding in her head.
She smashed her foot and took out the cylinder. After she put it down, she immediately ran away.
Seeing her so shy, Brian was surprised.
’Does she really needs to be this shy? Whatever, I need to work on those things.’
Brian turned around.
"Send those things to my tent."
Saying so, he pointed at the bundles of monsters and the devil’s body parts. After all, not all of that was burned to ashes. Some of them were still fine. So, he wanted to use them for something else.
As he walked toward his tent, he found himself inside a bright room. This room had a lamp that was enough to brighten five of these rooms. He used it so that he could work properly.
"Ysla, activate stand-alone mode!"
Brian spoke as he walked forward. The armor suddenly moved out from the DragonElephant Armor and came out. It stood like an armor/robot. The only thing that it didn’t have was a head.
But, even that was added when it came out. The extended metal formed into the shape of a head to make it perfectly like a robot.
"While I work on those projects, absorb those bloodlines and use GMT to power up." Brian turned around and commanded as he walked in front of his table.
Soon after, those bundles arrived in his tent. His tent was quite big as well, even so, those things didn’t fit inside. He had to select one part out of each body.
He carefully selected them especially after understanding their body parts.
After he put some of them on his table, he sat on his chair and looked at those parts. There were various parts such as rhino horns, oxen horns, skins, some devil’s tongues, some devil’s wings, and some devil’s claws.
’First, I need to build a night vision camera. From what I know about these three creatures, Ox has color-blind proper and rhinos can’t see properly. But, then again, these snake devil’s tongues have an incredible sensing ability.’
’If I try enough, I should be able to rewrite Vision Array into Five Senses Array. Using it with the snake devil’s tongue, Ysla should be able to sense everything around her.’
’Vision Array uses the Light Element but if I modify it to find the temperature and chemical in the air, Snake Tongue could possibly use it. That means I have to make some adjustments with that Array to build a NightVision/Normal Day Camera.’
’Hmmm! I can definitely use spiritual energy to create the 3d model of the surrounding by combining it with the array. That way, Ysla would have an easier time navigating.’
’Using the skin of a rhino, I can build the exterior. But to make it fly, I need to use something else. Fortunately, devils had these wings.’
Brian held the wings in his hand and thought.
’These wings seemed quite hollow as well. I should be able to build a proper four fans with it. As long as I keep the trajectory and the weight correct, it can definitely lift the rhino skin.’
’But, it isn’t enough. I need to build a telepathic tower within the drone. There would be a high chance of the drone getting crushed by the enemy, leaving us in a blindspot.’
’If I can build a telepathic connection, I can transmit the 3d model of our surroundings into Ysla’s memory array. But, there is one problem. How am I supposed to build a telepathic connection.’
’I don’t have any materials for it.’
When Brian was left with confusion, Cao Ping entered the room. She saw that look on Brian and her eyes narrowed. Normally, this kind of look only appeared when Brian doesn’t have a solution for something.
So, she was curious about his problem.
"What happened?"
Only after hearing her voice, Brian realized her presence.
"Ahh! When did you come here?"
"You can’t fall into such deep thinking or else you will get assassinated. Tell me, what’s the problem?"
"You won’t understand. It is technical problem. If I can’t find the solution to this problem, we will be left in a blind spot for the rest of our future journey." Brian nonchalantly replied.
Hearing his words, Cao Ping didn’t take it offensively. She patted his head and saw.
"So, why are you worried about it? What if we have some blind spots? Everyone has a blind spot. Don’t think so negatively. Think about positive things."
"You have officially made it into the ranking. And, you have officially crushed the previous record of killing most creatures on the first day of arrival. I just contacted Elder Zhu. He was overly excited."
When he heard her words, Brian’s eyes suddenly widened. He stood up and held her shoulders.
"Wait, what did you just say?"
Cao Ping stared at him with a strange gaze and said "I said that you managed to break the previous record."
"No, after that."
"That, I contacted Elder Zhu and he was overly excited."
"How? How did you contact him? Wait, I know. Through this, right?"
Brian took out the token given by Elder Zhu and his eyes started to shine. He couldn’t believe that answer was with himself all along.
"I know. I finally know what to do. This token probably has an array that transmits sound through long distances. That means if I just copy that array and make some adjustment with it, I should be able to transmit not just sound but the video as well."
"Since the sound is also transmitted through a certain wavelength of spiritual energy, I can make some tweaks and create an array for my purpose."
When he said that to himself, he hugged Cao Ping and kissed her cheeks.
"Thank you, Ping. You are a lifesaver."
Getting kissed by him all of a sudden once again made her dumbfounded. Her body turned around as she ran out of his tent.
Brian stared at her back with confusion and muttered.
"What’s her problem?"
