Chapter 170: Entering the GOFL
Brian and Cao Ping quickly joined up with the other disciples and Elder Tu in the land below the floating island. All sixty disciples were waiting for him for nearly half an hour now.
And, some of them felt disappointed. For someone who seemed so strict, not coming here in time was a bit downer. But, some felt relieved. It meant if they do get late for certain something, they will only get scolded by him.
It was a piece of good news for them because they didn’t want to be on the bad side of Brian.
"Everyone, sorry for coming here so late. I was busy with some small stuff. And, I also brought someone. I am sorry that I am going against my own rules but I had to bring this person since she will be more than capable of helping me handle the situation in the GOFL."
Brian spoke gently as he landed on the ground. In front of him, those sixty disciples changed their gaze to the lady standing beside him. They were stunned when they saw the beautiful girl next to him.
The boys couldn’t help but give him thumbs-ups, thinking.
’You are the commander. Bringing your lover is how you show off your position.’
On the other hand, the girls were feeling extremely irritated and angered by her. For a week, they had been preparing to get closer to him in the GOFL but now, all of that was ruined instantly.
But, Elder Tu was surprised the most. Because, unlike the disciples, he could gaze upon her bone age. Unlike muscles, bones seldom regrow. And, thanks to the cultivation, they have condensed powerful spiritual energy.
This energy is unlike the other. It can be recorded in the form of years. It’s because of that he can identify others’ age.
That being said, he was still confused why Cao Ping was accompanying her disciple in GOFL as a cute little girl. He didn’t want to ask her right now since it would only make people suspicious.
Because although others could also understand her bone age, they can’t identify her true identity. The only reason he was able to do it was because he had seen her in her younger days.
Otherwise, even he would have been confused by now.
"Ahem! Since you are here, let’s get you to the GOFL." Elder Tu cleared his throat and spoke.
Hearing his words, Brian nodded and walked toward him. As he walked closer, he saw a gigantic stage with strange markings in the middle. He looked at Elder Tu and asked.
"Is that the Teleportation Array?"
"Yep, here take this!" Elder Tu took out a black badge and passed it to Brian.
"Since the path to the middle is quite dangerous and long, we have built the teleportation array that teleports you to our turf. You can stay there in an emergency and use it as a safe place as well."
"But, don’t overly depend on it since you have a lot to do outside."
Hearing his words, Brian nodded his head and took the black badge in his hand. Then, he made his way to the portal. He stood in front of it and gave one last look to Elder Tu.
After all, even he wasn’t sure when he will be pulled back into Chaos Online. And, now that he had a plan in his mind, he wasn’t going to waste time.
He took a deep breath and walked forward. The entire group followed him. After they entered the portal, their bodies instantly disappeared and appeared from the other end of the portal.
It was a stage as well. The stage was made out of a strange jade. And, there was a portal behind them. As they came out, they saw a group of people standing in front of them.
A middle-aged man walked forward and stretched out his hand.
"Badge?"
Brian was surprised by his attitude but he still took out the badge he was given and passed it to the elder.
Looking at the badge, the elder gave him a strange look and snorted.
"It seems like the sect is turning even more worthless than I thought. Why would ... Cough!"
Suddenly, Brian’s fist landed on his stomach. The immense strength that gathered at the tip of his fist forced the elder to fly out like a cannonball and got slammed against the wall of a building.
For a moment, nobody reacted. They couldn’t react at all. But, the men from the elder’s side after a while shouted.
"You bastard, do you realize what you just did? He is the elder of our sect. You will be punished. I will immediately call the sect."
"Guo Ming, who is the fifth strongest person in our legion?" Brian asked.
"It’s Senior Juan, commander." Guo Ming immediately snapped out of it and replied. His reply also attracted a young man’s attention. He was standing on the side. He was very tall and lean but the strange aura around him felt dangerous like a bolt of lightning.
As soon as he heard the name, Brian’s memory clicked into his information and he remembered his cultivation realm.
"Alright! Juan, go and break his leg. I will give you a minute."
Juan was stunned at first but when he heard the time limit. He instantly turned into the bolt of lightning itself and appeared in front of that man. Although he was fast, that man was able to react in time.
He tried to throw a fist toward Juan but Juan was able to use his lightning-fast reflexes to dodge it and punch his chest. Then, he instantly appeared behind him and kicked his leg.
It didn’t break his leg but pushed the man to the ground. Before that man could struggle, Juan instantly grabbed his leg and swung it.
Crack!
After breaking his leg, Juan instantly returned in front of Brian and bowed his head.
"Commander, I’ve finished my task."
"Thirty-Five Seconds. Nice! That’s what I expect from my legion." Brian nodded his head with satisfaction and turned his head toward the crowd in front of him.
"Listen carefully, you weasels. I don’t fucking care who you are and what your job is. I know my job is to kill other races people and that’s what I am going to do."
"Now, if you don’t want to start a fight, give the way to my legion. And, also treat the elder. I didn’t go soft on that punch."
His words turned the crowd mad but none of them spoke a word. Instead, they clenched their fists and gave the way to them.
Brian nodded with satisfaction and left with his legion. They went straight toward the building.
One of the young men clenched his fist and spoke "Are we just going to let these newcomers do whatever they want? Who do they think they are?"
"Of course not! That bastard dared to call us weasels. We will show them that their attitude won’t let them live in this place even for a day. Send the news about the arrival of a new team."
"The commander only has the cultivation of True Essence Realm." Another young man clenched his fist and spoke with hatred accumulating in his eyes.
Inside the building, many disciples of the Immortal DragonElephant Sect rushed outside to learn more about that collision. When they saw Brian and his legion coming toward them, they were stunned.
They didn’t know how to respond. They just let Brian and his legion pass. After they passed through the building, they were in front of a gigantic barren land.
It had no soul within one mile of a radius but there were a lot of small hills. When they walked into this land, they felt an immense wave of spiritual energy hitting their bodies.
"Why did you do that? We could be in a trouble after this." Cao Ping didn’t understand why Brian acted on his rage. She knew Brian wasn’t a rash person but she couldn’t understand his reasoning.
At this moment, Guo Ming suddenly replied.
"Miss, I think the commander did that to invite our enemies toward us."
Hearing his words, everyone looked at him in surprise. Even Brian was surprised because that’s exactly the reason why he did that. Seeing Brian’s gaze, Guo Ming felt terrified as he lowered his head.
Brian chuckled seeing his reaction and said "There is no need to feel scared. As long as you don’t do anything wrong, I won’t do anything to you. As for what you said, it was correct. Now, you should probably explain this completely, or else some will remain confused."
Guo Ming sighed a breath of relief and nodded his head.
"After we come to this place, we are basically unknown. While some people might get the news about us, only one team at one time will attack us. I think that is not what the commander wants."
"Because our goal is ridiculously high, we need to kill a lot at once. So, if we manage to spread the news about us, many will come at us at once. But the first wave will be weak so we should be able to win."
"And, the second wave won’t come sooner because the weak team will be scared and the stronger team needs to finish their own thing before they can focus on the other."
"And, we can use that time gap for our training. In other words, we won’t waste a single minute. We will get training and kill...
One after another."
