Chapter 166: Genetic Modification Technique, GMT

"GMD? What’s that?" Elder Su asked.

"Genetic Modification Device... You don’t have to think and understand what it is but rather how it’s going to be useful. Since we are going to install the array into it, I have a special use for it."

"I am going to create a technique that allows me to merge the bloodline abilities of different bloodlines and create a perfect armor that can increase my defensive, offensive, and movement."

"Wait, wait, you mean you want to create a technique? And, this technique will do what?" Elder Ying’s eyes opened wide as he asked.

"Wait, wait, I know you have the talent but creating a cultivation technique and also such a high-level cultivation technique seems absurd." Elder Su spoke. Although he was willing to believe Brian, this idea was still the craziest of all.

"That’s where you come in. Because I don’t have time to build this. I need your help. I am laying out ideas so that you can help me create this. And, I will create this technique."

"But, there is something I still haven’t told you. It would be the last move so I wasn’t sure to tell you right now but I plan to share my knowledge with the Weapon Spirit. That’s why I am building it." Brian explained.

Hearing his words, three elders looked at each other for a long time. They weren’t sure whether this was truly a good idea or not. But, it seems quite exciting.

Although they knew it was truly hard to finish it within a week, they were excited like never before. They wanted to finish it within a week. It was a challenge.

"Since none of you are disagreeing, can I assume that you have agreed to do this for me?" Brian asked.

Three elders looked at each other and nodded.

"Alright! We will help you build this thing but after you come back, you will help us complete it. From what I understand, you plan to let the weapon spirit practice this technique for you which means you are just going to create the outline of this technique and let it complete during your one year in the GOFL."

Elder Su spoke.

Brian smiled and nodded "Yep, let’s get started. I have the drawings here. I have basically written everything you need to know so I will just focus on creating this technique. Once you finish that, I will let the weapon spirit read my mind and get the outline of this technique."

"Alright then! Let’s start working." Three elders nodded. Brian took out all the blueprints and details of the armor, passing them to them.

Finally, he left the room and went to the other room.

Creating a cultivation technique was no different from creating a program. To create a program, you need to understand every single aspect of it. For example, you need to code things that the person using the program could do for the response.

Even if it is just for showing up the errors.

The Cultivation Technique is quite similar to it. To create a cultivation need, you need to understand three aspects of the cultivation; Body, Soul, and Essence. Once you can maintain harmony between these three aspects and spiritual energy, you can create a flow.

This flow is also known as function. For a program to operate, it must include functions. And each function is set up in a way that it perfectly aligns with others.

The cultivation technique that he was planning was called GMT. He basically didn’t think too much about the name. He just replaced the Genetic Modification Device with a Genetic Medication Technique.

It works like a program. It absorbs the blood of a creature and creates a code based on it. This biological code is basically the functioning of genes. Once this kind of code is formed, it will imprint the code into one’s body and use the spiritual energy to extract its power.

Of course, first spiritual energy brings the code into the useable bloodline then extracts the abilities that a bloodline can give, and then encodes this new ability as a partial code into his armor through the cultivation technique.

As he just named it, he was basically transforming the device into a technique. Previously, he used to store the codes inside the device, it generates the source energy that enters his bloodstream, giving him the power of different genes.

Because that device could basically delete the parts of the bloodline that rejects others, he wouldn’t face any problem while using it.

Just like that, he was just replacing the GMD with armor plus GMT. Actually, he planned to directly transfer the bloodline to his bloodstream but there was one major problem.

He couldn’t maintain several different bloodline codes inside his bloodstream. So, he could only imprint them into his armor. So that whenever he uses spiritual energy, he can activate the respective imprints and use the respective bloodline powers.

At least, that was his plan. He planned to use the next seven days to complete this plan. Once he finishes this idea, he could finally get into the battlefield with many problems.

.........

Six Days Later,

Brian opened his eyes and stood up. He walked to the construction room where three elders were building the armor. It was a bit different than traditional armor.

It was incredibly thin, almost like a rubber suit. But, it was complex. There were nearly more than dozens of arrays set up to make it so thin. After all, it was still made out of the super rare ore of this world ’Alu’.

This ore was used to create most of the Lord Rank or Saint Rank weapons. They were super strong, durable, and light. They were basically Specter Ore from his universe.

"So, is it finished? You know, I have to leave tomorrow, right?" Brian asked as he walked in.

"Almost, we just need to install the power source. Hey, we made some improvements to this power source. While it will still use pills, we installed Spatial Storage Array to store the pills inside."

"And, we also made some more improvement in that array. Instead of manually taking out the pill and using it, the array will supply the pill whenever the energy gets low."

"That means you can run this armor for a month without caring about the energy as long as you keep it full." Elder Ying spoke while manipulating the array in his hands.

"Well, that’s amazing." Brian was surprised by their improvements. It was quite an improvement, especially for a group that did not even use their own enemies for experiments until he suggested it.

"We learned a lot and I mean a lot through those papers. So, while building this armor, dozens of ideas kept popping in our heads." Elder Su explained.

"Don’t tell me you made some core changes?" Brian freaked out for a moment.

"We might have gotten ideas but we aren’t kids. We know the consequences of meddling with something as important as this. We only made the change that would fix some of its shortcomings."

"We didn’t make any changes in cores and even most of the armor." Elder Tu shook his head and reassured Brian.

"Sorry, I was rude." Brian bowed and apologized.

"It’s okay. After all, there are many things we didn’t know at first." Elder Tu smiled and shook his head.

Brian heavily sighed a breath of relief and walked closer to the armor, properly examining it.

"Brian, there is something that I want to ask you. It’s something serious." Elder Ying spoke.

When he said that, the other two elders stared at him with their serious gazes.

"What is it?" Brian felt a bit uncomfortable. He felt like they find out something. He wasn’t sure what it was.

"You are not from this world, are you?" Elder Tu asked.

Brian was startled for a moment as he quickly asked.

"Where would I be from?"

"No! I didn’t mean like this continent or this planet. I meant this entire world including the Immortal World. You are not from here. You are from a completely different world where people use science to achieve what we do from cultivation." Elder Tu explained.

Brian was stunned by his words. He never thought Elder Tu would be able to guess it.

"Actually, we have been thinking about it for a while. Your viewpoint on the world, your mysterious diseases, your enormous knowledge, all of this seems quite out of this world."

"Brian, you don’t have to lie to us. We have no intention of doing anything against you as long as you don’t do anything against us. We just want to know why you came here and what you plan to do."

"Hope you will share more knowledge with us." Elder Su interrupted Elder Tu and explained.

Hearing his words, Brian heavily sighed. He didn’t expect to get busted like this. He wasn’t sure if he should explain to them his reasons but looking at them, he felt like was talking to the geeks like himself.

"Alright, I will tell you everything."
