Chapter 178: 178. Encountring trouble

Markus Sliya and his party were venturing in the forest for more than fourteen days and they encountered nothing beside a strange cave.

At first, they thought of entering that place but there was an aura from the cave that caused a chill to run down their spine. He stopped and then looked at those following him and spoke,

"Let’s go. We are going to report this in the fort and let the higher ups take this on themselves.

I can sense something very ominous."

His followers flapped their tongues and spoke,

"Indeed, boss Markus. You said the right thing."

"Yes. Let’s go and inform the fort about this."

Markus felt smug and he decided to return with their party.

On the way, when he was near the fort, he sensed something and looked in the direction.

He didn’t know but he was sure that he felt that the surrounding nodes were being attracted in one direction.

In their realm, comprehension is what matters and as a peak soul lord realm expert, his senses are sharper than most of the soul lord experts because he was a quasi-king in reality.

He was not able to condense his crown and thus he suffered from spiritual deviation. But it is still not something that anyone in the soul lord can compare.

He looked in that direction and ordered others to follow him.

When they arrived at the place, they all were stunned from what they saw.

Marcus saw a very charming face with black hairs and abyss like black eyes. That face alone is enough to cause ripples in anyone’s heart.

His heart skipped a bead and then his gaze shifted to the white-haired men. He was equally handsome and Markus felt ashamed in front of that guy.

He didn’t know why but the moment he laid eyes on the white-haired guy; his heart beat a bit faster and his danger senses alerted him.

Finally, his gaze landed on the cocoon and his heart skipped another beat.

He didn’t know what it was, but it was definitely a heavenly treasure.

Jin looked in one particular direction and spoke,

"Since you all are present here, why not show in front of me and let me see your faces."

With that, the place where he was looking fluctuated and several figures appeared.

Jin looked at them and narrowed his eyes slightly. He can sense that these five people were all strong. Especially the one in the front who must be the leader.

Jin sensed the aura from them and instantly knew that two of them were in the middle of the lord realm and two at high. But the one in the front was strange.

Jin can sense something else from him. Just then Aion explained through transmission,

"The leader is a quasi-king brat. He failed to condense his crown. Besides that, he is a king realm expert in some sense."

Jin’s eyes showed some surprise and he looked at Aion with a questioning gaze.

Aion looked at him and laughed slightly.

He spoke,

"I am not going to interfere because these guys are too weak for someone like me."

With that, he simply sat on a nearby stone platform and closed his eyes.

Markus narrowed his eyes when he heard that. He looked deeply at Aion and then his gaze shifted to Jin.

He felt humiliated when he heard Aion spoken in such a carefree manner. But he can’t do anything. He can sense that Aion is indeed troublesome.

He looked at Jin with a deep hatred in his eyes and there was lust that was hidden in his eyes unnoticed by anyone including himself but Aion is an exception. Aion’s eyes turned cold but he held back.

Markus spoke in a cold voice,

"Boys, make them remember their positions."

His followers obeyed and they attacked Jin.

Jin looked at the four coming in his direction and the aura of a high lord realm expert burst from him. Not just that, he didn’t use his sigil mark this time.

He simply sensed the nodes around him and then he used the movements of the nodes to handle these four guys.

According to Aion, sigil use didn’t push us to the limit. It is only an obstacle. It was like opening the knowledge with never learning about it regarding the nodes.

But without the sigil mark, the nodes are not obedient and they are to be comprehended to fight and use.

And Jin is doing the same right now.

He looked around him and out of all the nodes, he felt some closeness to the nodes and if his guess is not wrong, they are of time, harmony and so on. Since he is familiar with the elements that belong to him, he can feel slight closeness from the nodes all around him.

He waved his hands and the time nodes around the mid-level lord realm experts surged. From them, Jin drew the time power and slowed down the two mid stage lord realm experts.

Seeing this, Jin was surprised and the opponents were also surprised. Aion’s eyes showed satisfaction.

But Jin didn’t become happy because an attack from one of the high lord realm experts arrived and the other used his fists to pounce on Jin.

Jin dodged the punch and he made some hand seals. The soul power surged and then he made a palm imprint and quickly defended himself.

After the collision, Jin was pushed slightly back because he was not fighting with his all but it still shocked everyone.

A high lord realm expert is fighting four others and not at loss.

Markus’s expression changed and he gritted his teeth and spoke in a cold tone,

"Why are you all useless?"

Hearing this, the four paused and they all looked at Jin with seriousness. They have to give it their all if they want to fight Jin.

Everyone retreated and Jin also looked at the opponent seriously.

He paused for a moment and closed his eyes. He remembered the words that his grandfather once told him.

The nodes of devouring are something that he is. He doesn’t need to look for them, he can create them, he is node itself.

When Jin opened his eyes, everything changed.

His eyes turned completely black and seeing the complete blackness in Jin’s eyes, Markus and his lackeys felt a pang in their hearts.

It is the feeling of something ominous.

Aion also looked at Jin in surprise and then he smirked slightly and continued to watch.

Jin looked at everything around him and what he saw was nothing like before.

What he saw was endless blackness and there was nothing else beside it but he could sense every minute changes around him.

He opened his palm and with a thought and spiritual energy from him, a black sphere condensed in his hand and it started devouring everything around him.

Jin was surprised when he saw this but not by much. He then looked at his opponents and smiled.

He spoke in a soft tone,

"Shall we continue"

With that, he didn’t wait for them, he simply took a step forward and everything around him started to darken and the expression on Markus’ face changed when he saw that.

And this time, this was a battle of completely one side where the four lord realm experts were beaten by Jin alone and in the end, Markus had to join the fight.

Jin looked at Markus and he became serious. He took one step forward and the dark spiritual energy coiled around his hands. Markus also used his fists but there were gloves in his hands and from what Jin can sense, these gloves are rank 6 artifacts.

But Jin didn’t care.

Their attacks met and Markus changed his expression when their fists collided. He can sense an intense suppression from the spiritual energy of Jin. So much that his own artifact is being suppressed and can’t show its full potential.

And he also sensed a fear that originated from the artifact spirit this time. It was a fear that originates from the very thought of a spirit.

Markus became more alarmed and looked at Jin and spoke,

"Look, we have no enmity with each other. If you let me go, I’ll never tell anyone about this and you can keep that egg to yourself."

Jin sneered slightly and looked at Markus. He spoke in a cold tone,

"Do you really think that the egg behind me is some kind of treasure?"

When Markus heard that, he was stunned but Jin didn’t bother himself from explaining.

The black sphere that he condensed earlier was still hovering above his head and Jin directly threw the sphere in the direction of Markus.

When Markus saw the black sphere, his expression changed and there was deep fear in his eyes.

He quickly used all his spiritual energy to create defence all around him.

Finally, the sphere crashed on his wall and it started to devour the spiritual energy from the shield. Seeing this, Markus changed his expression and he spoke very quickly,

"Stop. Stop. I’ll tell you a secret that we discovered after a long time."

When Jin heard this, he thought it was just a futile attempt to save himself but he still paused.
