Chapter 134: Domain [9]
he attacks of the wyvern and the undead Grandmaster struck the black holes simultaneously.
The moment those Grandmaster-level attacks hit, the black holes were destroyed by the overwhelming power behind them.
But it was already too late.
No. 2 slowly looked across the battlefield.
The entire battlefield was now covered with the corpses of undead.
Bodies were scattered everywhere, torn apart by the black holes created from the self-destruction of the ten Asher vessels.
And just like that...
Nearly eighty percent of his undead army had been wiped out.
Behind his mask, No. 2’s face twisted with frustration and rage.
He had lost thousands of undead.
Meanwhile, the enemy had only lost ten vessels.
Worse still, it hadn’t even been him who had killed them.
They had willingly sacrificed themselves.
No. 2 stared at the places where the black holes had appeared and muttered through gritted teeth,
"These madmen are even crazier than I expected."
"Sacrificing their own lives without the slightest hesitation... just to kill their enemies."
Then No. 2 looked at the twenty vessels of Asher who were still staring at him without moving.
A thought flashed through his mind.
’Was this planned from the very beginning of the battle?’
He remained silent for a moment before arriving at the answer himself.
’Yes... it must have been.’
’That’s why those ten vessels charged into the center of the battlefield like madmen.’
’They were never trying to survive.:
’They were preparing to sacrifice themselves from the start.’
No. 2 looked at Asher’s vessels.
Only thirty of them remained now.
On his side, around seven hundred low-ranked undead were still left.
However, they were nothing more than cannon fodder against Asher’s vessels, so he didn’t pay much attention to them.
He simply ordered them to keep attacking and exhaust the vessels as much as possible.
Then he was about to command his Master-rank undead and the undead Grandmaster to join the battle.
But before he could issue the order, something changed.
The ten vessels that had been fighting from the side, along with ten from the group that had remained motionless until now, simultaneously manifested their demonic armor and giant mana blades.
Without hesitation, the twenty vessels began marching toward what remained of the undead army, where the Master-rank undead were stationed.
Seeing their movement, No. 2 immediately reacted.
He ordered the two strongest undead on the ground—the undead Grandmaster and the gigantic humanoid undead beast—to attack the advancing vessels without wasting a single second.
Then he shifted his gaze toward the ten remaining vessels.
And what he saw next, he didn’t like even a single bit.
The remaining ten vessels suddenly manifested mana around their bodies in the shape of flying beasts and then black fog enveloped their whole body.
The constructs looked incredibly real, as if actual flying beasts had appeared on the battlefield.
Their wings spread wide, and powerful currents of winds surged around them.
The twenty vessels marched toward the remaining undead army and soon collided with it.
The vessels cut through the undead with ease.
One after another, the undead fell beneath their mana blades without being able to put up any real resistance.
Seeing this, the Master-rank undead finally joined the battle.
One of Asher’s vessels was in the middle of fighting an undead warrior when four Master-rank undead suddenly appeared around him.
Without giving him any chance to retreat, all four attacked at the same time.
A gigantic blade of wind tore through the air toward him.
A massive sphere of fire roared forward.
A pressurized torrent of water surged toward him.
And a huge spear of earth shot from the ground beneath him.
The four elemental attacks converged on the vessel simultaneously.
The vessel looked at the incoming attacks and calmly raised his mana blade.
At the same time, he threw several mana knives in different directions.
The next moment, his blade collided with the combined elemental attacks.
The impact pushed him backward, and cracks spread across his mana blade.
However, he suffered nothing more than that.
Without wasting even a fraction of a second, he instantly switched places with one of the mana knives he had thrown toward a Master-rank undead.
He appeared directly in front of the undead and swung his mana blade.
The black fog enveloping the blade passed through the undead’s body, cutting it down instantly.
At almost the same moment, another of Asher’s vessels appeared beside a different Master-rank undead through another mana knife.
His blade flashed once, and the second undead was also cut down before it could react.
The battle continued relentlessly.
One Master-rank undead after another fell under the assault of Asher’s vessels, while the remaining low-ranked undead had already been wiped out.
Ten vessels were fighting the Master-rank undead, while the other ten were engaged against the undead Grandmaster and the giant Grandmaster-ranked beast.
The giant undead beast was enormous and possessed monstrous physical strength.
However, it had already lost the elemental power it had possessed while alive.
Now, it was merely an undead creature with the body of a Grandmaster.
Asher’s vessels easily dodged its mindless attacks without much effort.
Then they began firing mana projectiles enveloped in black fog at its gigantic body.
The projectiles struck one after another, and the beast’s movements gradually became more sluggish.
Even so, the attacks weren’t enough to kill it.
Its remnant will was far stronger than that of ordinary undead.
Without wasting any time, the vessels immediately condensed several black mana spheres.
The next moment, the spheres vanished.
They instantly reappeared at the exact spots where the earlier mana projectiles had struck the undead beast’s body.
Then the black mana spheres slammed into those weakened areas simultaneously.
And Asher’s vessels continued repeating the same attack again and again.
They fired mana projectiles enveloped in black fog to mark weak points on the giant undead beast’s body.
Then black mana spheres instantly appeared at those exact locations and exploded against its flesh.
With every strike, more of the beast’s body was erased by the black fog.
Its movements became increasingly slower, and the monstrous strength behind its attacks gradually weakened.
