Chapter 163: Chapter 166: Finally arrived
When Jeff glanced to his side, he saw the girl was leaning on his shoulder. Her hair cascaded down onto his arm as he inhaled her scent.
With a nose as sharp as a dog’s, he could smell that it was very sweet. Seeing her peaceful face with no worries at all, Jeff started to suspect that he had somehow become a magnet for girls.
Even though he was a blockhead when it came to girls, fate somehow kept bringing more girls into his life.
First was his encounter with Jessica, then Arianna, going back to his first life, in that time, his encounters with Arianna was very rare.
Then there was that unreasonable girl whose name he could not even remember.
And now this girl was added to the list. Jeff began to wonder if his luck with women had increased after his charm improved.
"Is it just me, or is this just a coincidence?" he wondered in deep thought.
But unknown to him, while he was trying to find an answer, the van suddenly shook when it hit a small hole in the road.
The sudden bump caused a small disturbance among the passengers.
The sudden shake of the van made the girl lose her balance while she was still sleeping.
Her body slowly slid down from Jeff’s shoulder before he could react. In the next moment, her head dropped straight into his lap, her face landing awkwardly there on that spot.
Jeff froze instantly from what just happened, his face turned bright red as his mind went blank from the sudden situation.
Because of the impact, the girl woke up. When she opened her eyes and realized that her face was very close to the guy, she was shocked.
The girl beside her, who was her twin, saw what happened and quickly grabbed the back of her sister’s collar, pulling her up so she could sit straight.
"I’m sorry about my sister," she said while bowing her head with a red face.
Because of the sudden jolt, she had also woken up. When she saw that her little sister had fallen onto a man’s lap as if she was about to eat it, her mind almost collapsed from shock.
But even though it was an accident, it was still very embarrassing.
The girl with long hair had finally regained her senses, she quickly bowed her head, her lips squirming as if she wanted to say something, but the words would not come out.
Seeing the two acting like this, Jeff also began to feel embarrassed. Luckily, they did not misunderstand the situation, which was a relief.
"Don’t mention it. You two must be tired, so it’s normal," he replied, hoping to end the awkward atmosphere.
Their voices were low, so the other passengers could not really hear what they were saying.
After being forgiven, the girl with short hair sighed in relief and said, "Thank you."
Then she tapped her sister on the back and gave her a look.
The girl only squirmed and bowed her head. Jeff was confused about what she was doing, so he simply followed her and bowed his head once as well.
"Yep, this really must be lady luck. This must be because of the system, if not, there is no way my luck with girls is this strong," Jeff thought deeply.
As he looked down at his pants, he noticed that there seemed to be some of the girl’s saliva near the zipper area.
Using his T-shirt, he tried to brush it off, because if you took a glance it was clearly visible because the spot was wet.
When the girl saw this, her face turned as red as a tomato. She quickly opened the bag on her lap and took out a tissue.
She passed it to Jeff while squirming slightly. Hearing her soft voice again, Jeff looked at her and saw that she was offering him a tissue.
"Thank you," he said with a smile.
Then he took the tissue and wiped the spot clean, and soon it was gone.
As the ride continued, nothing unusual happened anymore. The two girls were now too embarrassed to sleep again after what had happened earlier.
Jeff on the other hand, had already forgotten about what happened earlier. He simply took out his phone and started playing some games.
After a few hours, he finally arrived at the town where the van stopped. Once everyone got down, he stepped out as well.
He did not take another ride right away because he wanted to buy some gifts for his family in the countryside.
After finding a store, he bought some clothes that cost around 20,000 pesos. Then he bought groceries that cost another 20,000 pesos, making the total 40,000 pesos.
Seeing a handsome young man spending so casually with a bunch of followers carrying his things, they know that this guy must be from a rich family.
So the sellers began calling out to him one by one.
"Handsome, want to buy some fruits? These are fresh and cheap!"
"No. handsome, buy from me instead. Not only are they fresh and cheap, I will even give you a discount just for you!"
"Handsome man, forget the fruits just buy me. If you cannot afford it, I am free!" a fat middle-aged woman shouted, making the other sellers look at her strangely.
Jeff simply smiled at them as he walked past. He had already bought many things, and his only response was a polite smile to show respect.
"Big brother, where are you going to buy next?" a kid asked.
Three more kids followed him, all around fourteen years old, the same age as Jeff’s younger brother.
Jeff let them carry his things so he could pay them for their work.
It was not free labor, because he gave each of them 5,000 pesos, which was already enough for about fifteen days without working.
After hearing that they are being paid only an idiot would say no.
"Hmm... there," he said, pointing at a nearby cellphone store.
When they saw the store called ’StarShop’, a famous electronics shop, their eyes lit up. For the first time, they would actually be able to go inside.
This store did not allow people to enter unless they had the intention to buy. Usually, only people from rich families or VIP customers were allowed inside.
It was said that the cheapest phone in the store cost around 30,000 pesos, which showed how luxurious the place was.
But Jeff did not know any of this because his only intention was simply to buy a phone.
When he was close to the door, the salesman saw him. He noticed a handsome young man in casual clothes, followed by a few kids who looked like beggars.
He raised his brows, but when he saw the many things Jeff was carrying, he realized that this man might not be ordinary.
So he quickly showed a polite smile and said, "Dear customer, welcome to StarShop. Please come in," he said with a smile.
Jeff simply nodded as he passed by the man and walked inside. Seeing that the guest only nodded, the salesman did not feel offended.
Instead, he thought it meant that this young man was the real deal, because truly rich people often acted calm and had some airs in their personality.
"Can you tell me what is the best phone here?" Jeff asked the cashier.
Hearing this, the cashier became excited knowing that its really a buyer.
"If you want the very best and latest phone dear customer, then you are in luck. We just received some new stock today," he said as he walked toward the counter and took out a phone box.
