Chapter 3171: Chapter 3171

“Boss is invincible!”

“Wipe them all out!”

A handful of Ye Liuyun’s former hangers-on were laughing and cheering him on from the sidelines

The enemy commander across the field had been hesitating about whether to keep targeting Ye Liuyun, but when he heard their shouts, a thought flashed through his mind: If I send the whole army to crush them, no matter how strong that one man is, he can’t stop so many of us, right

With that, he ordered his troops to spread out and charge the allied members in an all-out assault

The instant he moved, Ye Liuyun released four hundred Ninth-Order elite soldiers, who instantly ringed the entire enemy army

Any unit that tried to advance was met with a single palm of Heaven-and-Earth force or spatial power, blasting the scattering soldiers into nothing. These powerhouses slaughtered common troops with ridiculous ease——barely a trace of true essence needed

“Blade Vanguard!” someone in the alliance cried out the moment they recognized the armor. Cheers erupted right after

Watching these experts casually punch or palm the enemy back into piles of corpses only fired the crowd up more

The enemy commander’s brow knitted tight. One Ye Liuyun had already been a nightmare; now four hundred Ninth-Order elites had appeared. Each of them could wipe out twenty or thirty soldiers with a casual strike. His remaining sixty or seventy thousand men wouldn’t last long enough to be called a battle

As his soldiers were massacred wholesale, he finally understood: the other side’s strength was on another level. He had no chance of victory

“We surrender!” After a long hesitation, the commander announced surrender

“You slaughtered so many of us and think you can just surrender? I refuse.” Ye Liuyun’s voice rang out, domineering and cold

He added, “Go back and tell your dynasty: I’m marching on your capital next. Tell them to prepare for the consequences of invading us.”

“Our Alliance Lord is magnificent!” The Myriad Gods Alliance erupted in cheers

The commander’s face turned ashen. He hadn’t expected them to reject surrender outright and even threaten to strike his home star-system

Still, he tried to bargain. “Even if you’re strong, you’re too few. Taking our entire star cluster won’t be easy.”

Ye Liuyun kept killing without pause, a cold smile on his lips. “Too few, you say?”

With that, he released Xiao Heng’s troops

Xiao Heng had just finished reorganizing the surrendered soldiers, swelling his ranks to nearly twenty thousand, and was wondering how to screen them. Ye Liuyun handed him the perfect drill

“Perfect. I can’t be bothered to dirty my hands anymore. These enemies are yours—use them for target practice.”

As he spoke, Ye Liuyun gathered every shred of saber intent, divine essence, and Heaven-and-Earth power into a single slash that cleaved straight toward the enemy commander

The dazzling saber light, carrying the will of heaven itself, carved a ten-foot-wide gash through the middle of the army, racing all the way to the commander’s feet. Every soldier in its path was obliterated into dust

The commander barely survived by raising a defensive shield at full power, but the shield shattered and the impact snapped the bones in his arm

He stared blankly at the bisected army in front of him, stunned by Ye Liuyun’s overwhelming might

Ye Liuyun leveled his saber at the man and declared, “You want to negotiate terms? You’re not worthy.”

Then, turning away, he ordered Xiao Heng, “Kill every last one of them. Find the coordinates to the Azure Veil Star System.”

“Yes, sir!” Xiao Heng answered and led his troops forward

Half of his soldiers were at the seventh or eighth level of Unity, the other half at the fifth or sixth—wiping out these enemies was nothing more than live-fire training

Ye Liuyun didn’t look back. He sheathed his saber and strode straight back to the alliance side to catch up with old friends.

Yet the killing intent that flared the instant he turned, the icy glare and domineering aura, still made those who didn’t know him shudder.

“It’s like two different people!”

“No wonder everyone was waiting for him to come back. He wiped out over thirty thousand experts single-handedly and refused to take any surrender!”

“And he even threatened to storm their lair—so damn domineering!”

When Zhao Hu saw Ye Liuyun return, he burst into his usual booming laughter. “Hahaha, you brat haven’t changed a bit—can’t leave anyone an escape route, can you?”

Ye Liuyun reined in the tyrannical pressure and let a calm smile return to his face. “Anyone who dares kill our people must pay the price.”

The moment he came back, every gaze locked onto him; no one spared another glance at the ongoing battle. With the soldiers Ye Liuyun had released, everyone already treated the enemy as corpses.

“These gold-armored soldiers—are they troops personally trained by King Ye?” Liu Kui seized the chance to ask.

“No, just surrendered soldiers. I haven’t had time to re-equip them, so I left them in their original armor to serve as cannon fodder,” Ye Liuyun answered bluntly.

When the crowd pressed him about the soldiers’ cultivation levels, they were even more stunned.

“Cannon fodder at the seventh or eighth level of Unity?” Cang Jinsong and the others actually wanted to keep these soldiers to garrison the Myriad Gods Alliance.

Ye Liuyun explained, “I plan to build an elite force where every soldier is at the ninth level. I don’t want to waste resources on ordinary troops. A soldier at the seventh or eighth level of Unity costs a fortune to train. After one battle, just replenishing their true essence consumes a huge amount of origin energy!”

When the alliance elders heard this, they realized they truly couldn’t afford such an army and could only drop the idea.

Ye Liuyun understood their thoughts and offered advice: “If the alliance wants to grow stronger, it has to send its armies out to temper themselves in real battles, letting cultivation and resources rise together. Otherwise, relying solely on defense will never hold.”

He gave them an example: “The opponents I’m facing now command armies of millions. Their praetorian at the ninth level of Unity number in the hundreds of thousands. How can we defend against that by just sitting tight? They may not attack today, but sooner or later we’ll face invasions from other star systems. Out in the void, interstellar fleets roam everywhere, seizing resources. The best defense is offense. Send a few million troops out to explore—boost their strength, seize resources, and push our defensive line outward. Why not?”

“But with our current troop strength, wouldn’t sending them out just be throwing them away?” one elder asked worriedly.

Ye Liuyun replied, “If we don’t go out now, we’ll never be able to. In the end, we’ll still be wiped out.”

He also suggested that cultivators and retired soldiers form teams to venture out. The more who left, the stronger the cultivators traveling to and from this star system would become.
