Chapter 3172: Chapter 3172
Even though Ye Liuyun laid out the plan, none of the elders—who had grown used to a life of comfort—dared make so bold a move
Their strength was modest to begin with; if they sent millions of soldiers out only to have them die in foreign space, their power would shrink even further
Ye Liuyun only smiled, knowing that until these old men saw the cruelty of the outside world with their own eyes, they would never think of change
The older generation refused to budge, but he could still stir the younger blood
So he declared on the spot, “Once we wipe out these invaders, I’ll storm straight to their nest and demand compensation. Whoever wants to come watch the show, follow me!”
The young warriors and thrill-seekers around him cheered at once, all volunteering to go
Ye Liuyun nodded, then called into the crowd, “Luan Ping, come here!”
A teenage boy stepped out excitedly, bowing from afar before sprinting over
“Master!” he shouted, then raced to Ye Liuyun’s side
The boy was none other than Luan Ping, Ye Liuyun’s personal disciple
Ye Liuyun had spotted him the moment he arrived, but Luan Ping’s cultivation was low and he held no standing in the alliance, so Ye Liuyun hadn’t had time to greet him
Now that he meant to rouse the younger generation to venture outward, this little alchemy apprentice should also witness the harshness beyond their borders
“Not bad—already Second Level of the Immortal Realm, and you’ve even condensed a blade-intent seed,” Ye Liuyun said, clearly pleased; the boy had been training hard
“My level is still too low; I’m not even qualified to fight for the alliance,” Luan Ping replied, embarrassed
“Your cultivation speed is much faster than mine back then. Your foundation is solid; you started far ahead of where I did. What’s the rush? You’re still young. This time I’ll take you out to watch the fireworks. First, come meet your grand-master.”
Ye Liuyun had Luan Ping bow to Li Yuanlang. In high spirits, Li Yuanlang directly imparted the Primordial Qi Refinement Art and the Grand Derivative Soul Technique to the boy. He even lifted the restriction on Ye Liuyun, allowing him to pass the arts on to others in the future
With Ye Liuyun’s strength and insight, Li Yuanlang trusted he would not choose unworthy recipients
Next, Ye Liuyun introduced Luan Ping to several of his friends. Each presented gifts, leaving the boy with quite a haul
By then, Xiao Heng had finished scouring the battlefield and sent Ye Liuyun the coordinates of the Azure Veil Star System obtained through soul-searching
With a wave of his hand, Ye Liuyun swept every soldier into his spatial world
Then he released a ninth-grade True-tier dreadnought. “Whoever wants to come collect the debt, board this ship. We’ll swing by the Azure Veil Star System for compensation, then come back to catch up.”
His call drew an immediate flood of eager martial artists onto the warship. Luan Ping, meanwhile, was tucked into Ye Liuyun’s spatial world so Liang Xue, Wu Qingcheng, and the other women could pick out suitable cultivation resources—nothing too advanced, since the boy couldn’t refine them yet
Weapons, treasures, and other gear were left for him to choose himself
Once everyone was aboard, Ye Liuyun stowed the dreadnought inside his spatial world, sealed it in a pocket of void, and used the black teleportation tower to jump straight to the Azure Veil Star System
The Azure Veil system wasn’t far—about a year’s normal voyage—but although they’d received their army commander’s warning, they never expected Ye Liuyun to arrive so quickly
They hadn’t even begun discussing how to respond before he appeared—right above their capital
First, Ye Liuyun released Luan Ping and the dreadnought, then deployed a hundred soldiers at the Ninth Level. He ordered them to bombard the royal city
The city guards rushed out to question them, only for one of Ye Liuyun’s soldiers to slap the entire squad into a mist of blood
The rest immediately followed suit, raining strikes onto the city; a few palm blasts collapsed half the palace
Several experts at the seventh or eighth level of Unity rushed out from the palace to resist, but each was obliterated by a single strike
Only then did Ye Liuyun’s calm voice roll across the capital:
“The Azure Veil Star System sent armies against the Myriad Gods Alliance. We’ve come to collect the debt. King of Azure Veil, show yourself and answer!”
From the royal palace burst a martial cultivator draped in imperial robes—only at the seventh level of the Unity Realm—followed by a squad of golden-armored guards.
“Speak. How much are you going to pay? One extra word and my soldiers will slap you.” Ye Liuyun’s tone was outright domineering.
“Was it you who just annihilated our hundred-thousand-strong army?” King Qingsha asked, curious.
“Nonsense. If I hadn’t done it, why would I be here? Didn’t I have your Grand Marshal deliver my message?” Ye Liuyun waved his hand; a soldier’s palm shot out, smacking King Qingsha straight to the ground, leaving him battered and disheveled.
The golden-armored guards behind him were blasted apart by another single strike from one of Ye Liuyun’s soldiers.
“Try uttering one more useless word,” Ye Liuyun threatened with a smile.
“You go too far!” an elder of the dynasty roared.
“Too far? When you attacked us, wasn’t that going too far? Level this royal city!” Ye Liuyun glanced at the elder and issued the cold command.
Every soldier struck in unison, bombarding the city until it was a ruin of carnage.
“Stop—stop! We’ll pay!” Another dynasty elder rushed out shouting.
Yet Ye Liuyun gave no order to halt; the barrage continued. Elders and royals pouring out of the palace were obliterated on the spot.
“We’ll pay—whatever you want, take it!”
King Qingsha, still on the ground with blood at his lips, yelled up at Ye Liuyun.
Only then did Ye Liuyun nod, and the soldiers ceased.
He released Xiao Heng’s contingent: “Bring back every resource.”
“Yes, sir!”
Xiao Heng answered and led his troops down, stripping the palace treasury, King Qingsha’s Interspatial Ring, the elders’ rings, and plundering every guild, tavern, and major clan until nothing was left.
Ye Liuyun then shifted through space, rising into the starry void to survey the system. The galaxy held over a thousand planets—plenty to work with.
He activated the black teleportation tower, returned to the beast world, collected his first avatar, the demon legion, and the two demon flood dragons, then brought them all back.
Spectators aboard the warships sighed in amazement. Those who knew Ye Liuyun understood this wasn’t over; after the Myriad Gods Alliance had lost a million lives, Ye Liuyun would demand interest.
Some were already stunned by his ruthlessness. A divine king of an entire star system had been beaten like a stray dog, yet dared not utter another word.
