Chapter 2894: Chapter 2894
"Fine, have it your way! Don’t come crying to me when you get hurt!"
Qin Mengxi was irritated when she saw Ye Liuyun insisting on continuing the fight, thinking he was being ungrateful.
Ye Liuyun merely chuckled in response and urged Qin Wuyang to make his move.
Eager to strike before Ye Liuyun could reconsider, Qin Wuyang immediately launched his attack. Yet once again, Ye Liuyun channeled his advance energy energy, clashing with Qin Wuyang in another fierce exchange.
This time, however, Ye Liuyun held nothing back. He unleashed the full extent of his power—condensed advance energy, celestial and earthly forces, flames, lightning, and even the dual energies of Buddha and Demon—overwhelming Qin Wuyang, who could barely defend himself.
Still, Qin Wuyang lived up to his reputation as the strongest disciple of the Qin family. His skills far surpassed those of the previous Qin disciple Ye Liuyun had faced. Even with his advance energy, Ye Liuyun found it difficult to land a decisive blow.
After just a few exchanges, both Qin Wuyang and Qin Mengxi were stunned.
"How does he still have advance energy left?!" The onlookers gasped in disbelief, shocked by the sheer depth of Ye Liuyun’s energy reserves.
Qin Wuyang, meanwhile, grew more unnerved with each passing moment. As their battle wore on, he realized he was no match for Ye Liuyun and prepared to concede defeat.
But Ye Liuyun had been watching him closely—he had no intention of letting Qin Wuyang surrender. Without hesitation, he launched a soul attack. A single strike from Ye Liuyun’s spiritual force obliterated one of Qin Wuyang’s primary battle souls.
At the same time, Ye Liuyun delivered a palm strike, sending Qin Wuyang flying off the arena, blood spraying from his mouth.
"Oops, didn’t hold back enough!" Ye Liuyun feigned regret, theatrically rushing over to check on Qin Wuyang.
By then, Qin Wuyang had already lost consciousness and was quickly carried away by the other disciples.
Qin Mengxi studied Ye Liuyun silently before finally speaking to him through telepathy: *"You did that on purpose?"*
*"Yes,"* Ye Liuyun admitted without hesitation. Then, with a smirk, he added, *"That guy’s been targeting me since I got here. If I didn’t teach him a lesson, he’d never learn to back off."*
Qin Mengxi pursed her lips but didn’t call him out on it. She had always thought Ye Liuyun was easygoing, but once provoked, he would undoubtedly retaliate in every possible way—a man who refused to suffer any losses.
Having already defeated every opponent in the training grounds, Ye Liuyun had no one left to fight. He left with Qin Mengxi and returned to his quarters.
“What’s your next move?” Qin Mengxi asked him proactively.
“Going out for a stroll,” Ye Liuyun replied casually.
“Then you have to take me with you!” Qin Mengxi immediately insisted. “Otherwise—”
Before she could finish, Ye Liuyun agreed without hesitation. “Fine, you can come. Go get ready—we might be gone for a while.”
“Great! I’ll go prepare right away!” Qin Mengxi chirped happily before dashing off to pack.
Once she was gone, Ye Liuyun draped himself in his invisibility cloak and slipped out of the Qin estate without another word. Whether Qin Mengxi would report his departure to her family was the least of his concerns.
Killing her would have been the surest way to tie up loose ends. But he couldn’t bring himself to do it—Qin Mengxi meant no harm, and women as guileless and kind-hearted as her were rare. He’d rather risk his secrets being exposed than slaughter the innocent.
What he didn’t expect, however, was that after he left, Qin Mengxi—having finished her preparations—would come looking for him. Finding him gone without a word, she didn’t stay behind either. Instead, she set off in pursuit.
Her reasoning was simple: she wanted to catch up to Ye Liuyun and stop him from stirring up trouble. But the moment she entered the starry expanse, she froze, unsure where to even begin searching.
After some thought, she concluded that his sudden departure meant he had something to hide—proof that he was indeed behind the incidents involving the Wan and Zhou families. Now, only the Tang and An families remained.
So she summoned her skyship and sped toward the planet where the Tang family resided.
Qin Mengxi’s guess wasn’t far off. Ye Liuyun was indeed heading for those two great families—and coincidentally, he had chosen the Tangs first.
This time, however, he didn’t launch a direct assault. Instead, he altered his appearance, forwent the Spirit Cat battleship, and boarded a Falcon-class vessel to approach the Tang family’s stronghold.
Before he even reached the Tang family’s estate, he spotted the Wan family’s elite forces surveilling the area from the starry skies.
"Those Wan family schemers have quite the plan!" he immediately realized—they intended to rob both him and the Tang family in one fell swoop.
Ye Liuyun altered his appearance slightly and skirted around these martial cultivators, heading straight for the Tang estate. The Wan family experts did notice him, but they couldn’t be bothered to act against a mere Dominator-level cultivator. Stirring up unnecessary commotion might alert the Tang family, after all.
Ye Liuyun arrived at the Tang estate without incident. Instead of using Tang Xiao’s identity to enter, he stopped at a nearby tavern, intending to gather information while waiting for Tang disciples to emerge.
The tavern was spacious, serving both food and lodging. Ye Liuyun booked a room first, but before he could settle in, his divine sense detected a squad of Tang disciples in uniform marching toward him.
The moment he arrived, he had sensed the probing divine senses of Tang family experts sweeping over him. However, upon realizing he was only at the Dominator level, most lost interest and withdrew their scrutiny.
"The experts don’t care about me, but this patrol squad is definitely here for me!"
Ye Liuyun mused silently, immediately activating his golden pupils to assess the approaching Tang disciples. Most were Dominator-level cultivators, with the two weakest—a man and a woman—still at the seventh level of Dominator. Only the squad leader had reached the first level of Unity.
Upon arrival, they surrounded the room, poised to strike if Ye Liuyun made any suspicious moves.
The two seventh-level Dominator disciples stepped forward and demanded, "We’re the Tang family patrol. Are you an outsider? What’s your business here?"
"I’m a local," Ye Liuyun replied smoothly. "I’m here to find my junior sister." To sell the lie, he suddenly unleashed a surge of radiant Buddhist light from within.
Under the dazzling glow’s cover, his twin divine souls shot into the two disciples’ consciousness, planting slave seals before retreating unnoticed.
The Tang disciples tensed, mistaking the burst of energy for an attack, and readied their own strikes. But when they saw the Buddhist light merely enveloping their comrades—who showed no signs of distress—they hesitated.
"Enough of the theatrics!" the squad leader barked, recognizing the non-hostile nature of the Buddhist light.
*This kid’s cultivation is mediocre, but his Buddhist power is shockingly potent,* the leader thought privately.
The others, similarly impressed by the display, dropped their suspicions.
Ye Liuyun grinned disarmingly. "I heard outsiders have been causing trouble lately. Didn’t want you to mistake me for one of them!"
By then, his divine souls had long since withdrawn, mission accomplished.
