Chapter 2893: Chapter 2893

Qin Mengxi readily admitted it. He had brought Ye Liuyun to the training grounds precisely to spar.

"Perfect timing. We can also witness the strength of the esteemed guest of our Qin family!" Qin Wuyang said with a smirk, a hint of excitement in his voice.

He had been pursuing Qin Mengxi for a long time but had never received her favor. Now, seeing Ye Liuyun walking closely with her, chatting and laughing, he couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy.

Though he could tell that the relationship between Ye Liuyun and Qin Mengxi wasn’t overly intimate, and as an outsider, Ye Liuyun was unlikely to have any real future with her, his jealousy still clouded his judgment.

The more he stewed over it, the more displeased he became with Ye Liuyun. He wanted to seize this opportunity to humiliate him, to make it clear that the Qin family was not a place an outsider could meddle with.

Ye Liuyun, however, was far too experienced. With a single glance, he saw right through Qin Wuyang’s intentions.

He swept his eyes over the Qin disciples and quickly assessed them. Though their cultivation levels were decent, their true essence was unstable—none of them would be a match for him.

So when Qin Wuyang proposed a spar, Ye Liuyun immediately agreed and stepped onto the platform without hesitation.

Qin Mengxi, meanwhile, stood eagerly at the sidelines, excited to see Ye Liuyun in action.

Qin Wuyang himself was at the ninth level of the Dominator Realm, so he couldn’t step in right away to teach Ye Liuyun a lesson. But he figured it would be satisfying enough to have the other disciples beat him down and let Qin Mengxi witness his defeat.

The Qin disciples chose their opponents based on cultivation level. Once they learned that Ye Liuyun was at the seventh level of the Dominator Realm, those weaker naturally lost the right to challenge him. Still, there were about fifteen or sixteen disciples qualified to step onto the platform.

Unlike Qin Wuyang, these disciples harbored no ill will. They simply saw a newcomer as a rare sparring opportunity and didn’t want to miss it, eagerly volunteering to fight. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

Ye Liuyun didn’t go all out against them. He adjusted his strength to match each opponent, defeating them without inflicting serious injuries.

Yet his victories came swiftly—almost always within a single move. This made Qin Wuyang frown in surprise. He hadn’t expected Ye Liuyun to be this strong.

After all, with the power of Buddha’s Light, the locals could typically contend with outsiders at the eighth level of the Dominator Realm. Yet Ye Liuyun had won with such ease.

Qin Mengxi watched his effortless victory and thought to herself, "It seems he hasn’t even used his full strength yet!"

Qin Wuyang, worried that Ye Liuyun might withdraw, encouraged him instead: "Mr. Ye is so formidable—surely you can take on an eighth-level Dominator disciple!"

Standing firmly on the arena, Ye Liuyun had no intention of stepping down. He nodded and said, "Then let’s test the waters against an eighth-level Dominator."

"Excellent! That’s the spirit!" Qin Wuyang grinned slyly and called for other disciples to challenge Ye Liuyun.

Yet the outcome remained unchanged—every battle ended with Ye Liuyun defeating his opponents in a single move.

Qin Mengxi and the gathered disciples were utterly stunned. In their eyes, only genius-level martial artists could challenge opponents above their own realm. None of them, not even Qin Wuyang, stood a chance at such a feat.

By now, Qin Wuyang found himself in a dilemma. He hesitated over whether to let Ye Liuyun continue. The ease of Ye Liuyun’s victories unsettled him—what if even he couldn’t win?

Seeing Ye Liuyun still standing confidently on the platform, showing no sign of stepping down, Qin Wuyang grew even more uneasy.

"Mr. Ye, do you wish to keep going? The next challenge would be against a ninth-level Dominator!" Qin Wuyang reminded him cautiously.

Ye Liuyun merely smiled at him. "No problem. I’d like to test the strength of a ninth-level Dominator as well."

Qin Wuyang’s expression darkened. Only he and one other disciple were at the ninth level—there was no avoiding it now.

But then an idea struck him. Ye Liuyun had fought so many battles—his true energy must be nearly depleted. Quickly, he sent a covert message to the other ninth-level disciple, instructing him to exhaust Ye Liuyun’s reserves as much as possible.

The disciple was puzzled and asked why.

"He’s already won so many matches. If we can’t defeat him now, wouldn’t that mean all the Qin family disciples are inferior to him? Wouldn’t that humiliate our entire clan?" Qin Wuyang bluffed.

Convinced, the disciple agreed. Even if he couldn’t defeat Ye Liuyun, he would at least create an opening for Qin Wuyang.

Ye Liuyun’s divine soul had grown even stronger after this refinement, allowing him to immediately detect their telepathic exchange. However, he didn’t pay it much mind.

Even if Qin Wuyang and the other disciple teamed up against him, he wouldn’t care.

As for that disciple, burdened with the weight of his family’s mission in this battle, he tensed up instantly, his aura flaring outward.

Seeing how nervous the disciple was, Ye Liuyun couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly. Yet, he had no intention of swiftly defeating his opponent.

After all, a martial cultivator at this level was the perfect sparring partner for him—no need to rely on any other power. Pure Xuan Yuan combat was ideal.

So, instead of conserving his Xuan Yuan, he deliberately prolonged the fight, engaging the disciple in a genuine battle of attrition.

The moment the fight began, Qin Wuyang relaxed.

*"If he keeps expending energy like this, by the time he faces me, his True Yuan will definitely be drained."*

But even so, he was shocked by the sheer amount of True Yuan Ye Liuyun still possessed. He hadn’t expected Ye Liuyun to last this long after so many consecutive battles.

Only when Ye Liuyun’s opponent exhausted his True Yuan did he finally knock him off the stage—though without delivering a heavy blow, not wanting to embarrass Qin Mengxi.

Qin Wuyang, however, grew anxious that Ye Liuyun might refuse to continue. He immediately leaped onto the stage, first lavishing praise on Ye Liuyun before taunting him.

Qin Mengxi, convinced that Ye Liuyun must be completely drained, spoke up in his defense.

"Qin Wuyang, don’t push it! He’s already fought so many rounds—are you really going to take advantage of his exhaustion?"

But by then, Ye Liuyun had already replenished his Xuan Yuan using a Storage Stone.

Turning to Qin Mengxi, he smiled and said, "It’s fine. Since your senior brother wants a fight, I’ll oblige him."

Then, he glanced back at Qin Wuyang and warned, "But I don’t have much True Yuan left now. Once we start, I’ll hold nothing back. If I strike too hard and injure you, don’t blame me."

"Of course! Liuyun, unleash your full strength—even if I get hurt, I won’t hold it against you!" Qin Wuyang was certain of victory as long as Ye Liuyun agreed to fight.

Since Qin Mengxi had spoken up for him, Qin Wuyang had already resolved to catch her off guard and deal Ye Liuyun a heavy blow when she wasn’t looking.

He had no intention of outright killing Ye Liuyun—something Ye Liuyun could sense, detecting no murderous intent. Thus, he didn’t plan to obliterate Qin Wuyang either.
