Chapter 2380: Chapter 2380 The Four Phases

"New here?"

As soon as Ye Liuyun stepped into the Grand Hall, a maid approached him with a welcoming smile.

"Indeed!" Ye Liuyun replied with a courteous nod.

"Here, let me give you a quick rundown of how things work here," she said cheerfully. "The Pure Brew is completely free, with unlimited refills. We also offer ninth-level Elixirs, which are also complimentary. However, you can only consume them on-site, no takeaway."

"We serve all kinds of food and drinks, just like any high-end tavern. Perfect for when members want to indulge a little. But those come with a price tag."

"Unlimited free Pure Brew and elixirs?" Ye Liuyun couldn’t hide his surprise.

"Absolutely!" The maid chuckled, clearly accustomed to newcomers’ disbelief.

"Then I’ll take one of each to taste. Let’s see what they’re like," Ye Liuyun said without hesitation.

"Right away!" She turned away to fetch his order.

As Ye Liuyun looked around the place for an empty seat, a group chatting nearby waved him over.

"Hey, newbie, come join us! We might cross paths during training. No harm in getting acquainted early," one of them called out.

"Sure! I just came and have no idea what the training entails," Ye Liuyun replied, settling in comfortably among them.

"I’m Faucon. And you?" A man with a sharp gaze leaned forward. "The training includes team battles, and members get shuffled around. Who knows, we might end up in the same team."

"Liuyun," Ye Liuyun nonchalantly answered, clasping his hands in a casual salute.

The others took turns to introduce themselves, and soon the conversation diverted to the details of the upcoming training.

"The training is divided into four phases. First test is to assess your abilities in all areas, so they could create a training plan tailored to your strengths and weaknesses."

"The next phase is to overcome your weaknesses with the help of dedicated instructors. At this point, they will pair you up with a sparring partner according to your skill level."

"Once you meet the standards, you’ll move on to group combat training. Teams of five will face off against each other and carry out missions together."

"When your skills advance further, you’ll enter the ’Death Journey’. You’ll compete against experts for survival. Although this phase is optional. Due to the extremely high risk of death."

"None of us has reached that stage yet, so we don’t know much about it."

"Sounds exciting!" Ye Liuyun remarked with glisten in his eyes.

"The first phase is the safest, while the other phases could get you killed!"

"Exactly. The training sounds nice, but even one-on-one sparring is treacherous. Your sparring opponent could be a puppet or a feral beast. You know they don’t hold back. About one in ten trainees perish at this stage."

"Group battles are no different. Both sides fight to the death, and accidental kills happen all the time. As assassins, we strike with lethal intent. No hesitation, no mercy. One slip-up, and you’re done for."

The group eagerly chimed in, explaining all the details they knew to Ye Liuyun.

Since they were all in the same training phase, they gladly shared information. Unlike how Stygian operatives acted outside. Being tight-lipped and indifferent.

Just then, the maid who had led Ye Liuyun earlier returned with his order.

She brought him a jug of Pure Brew and an Elixir each for cultivation enhancement and physical refinement.

"Aren’t you joining me?" Ye Liuyun asked, feeling rather discomfited about indulging in the drink alone.

They casually waved to decline. "Go ahead. We’ve had our fill. We had had so much of it and are not interested in having more."

"You’ll get better resources as rewards during your training. We all started the same way. Indulging all these freebies at first, only to discover better options later."

"I see." Ye Liuyun didn’t hold back and immediately dug in.

Since he and his clone were sharing one portion of resources, naturally, they consumed more. It wouldn’t affect him for consuming more.

Besides, both the Pure Brew and the elixirs here were top-notch, crafted with exceptional techniques.

As long as they helped him improve, he wasn’t going to refuse.

After chatting with them a while longer, Ye Liuyun returned to cultivate for a bit before switching places with his clone, who then headed back to the Grand hall to ask for another round of Pure Brew and elixirs.

"You want more Elixirs?" The maid couldn’t hide her surprise. Ye Liuyun had just taken a dose not long ago. Why could he be back so soon for more?

For most, consuming elixirs in quick succession not only diminished their effects but could leave harmful residues in the body.

Of course, the clone couldn’t tell her the truth, so he just offered an awkward smile.

Though baffled, the maid dutifully handed over the goods, watching as he downed the elixirs once more before settling in to sip the Pure Brew.

"Impressive!" Presuming he must have a peculiar constitution.

Early the next morning, Sero came to fetch Ye Liuyun.

"Today, we’ll run some tests to gauge your abilities so that we can tailor your training accordingly."

Ye Liuyun followed Sero into a special hall where several black-clad figures, all dressed identically to Sero, stood waiting.

The first test would be to assess his bloodline.

Since Ye Liuyun wasn’t using his real name and had no fear of being recognised, he held nothing back during this assessment. He channelled his Bloodline Power at full strength, causing the testing Alora crystal to turn pitch black.

"Celestial Tier Two, intermediate level!" A black-clad examiner recorded the result with a straight face.

This was the first time Ye Liuyun had heard such a rating.

Based on his understanding, no other person had his rare ability. However, they didn’t seem particularly surprised. Evidently, they were accustomed to seeing such results.

"Seems like the participant here for training is no ordinary talent," Ye Liuyun thought to himself.

Next came the test for Divine soul power.

"Celestial Tier Two, intermediate level!"

Upon hearing the result, Ye Liuyun finally grasped the extent of his Divine soul power.

Then next came the assessment of his cultivation level.

Ye Liuyun received an evaluation of "Ninth Level, upper advanced tier."

Following that, his strength in the power of heaven and earth was tested, earning him a rating of "Celestial Tier One, upper level."

Finally, his physical body was assessed. To his surprise, he scored another "Tier One, upper level."

All five tests were conducted using different Crystals, each delivering precise results in an instant.

Curiously, Ye Liuyun turned to Sero and asked where these testing crystals came from.

Sero simply replied, "They’re crafted by our own weapon-refining master. But the forging methods are a Stygian Organisation’s secret. We can’t share them." 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Ye Liuyun could only sigh in envy. If he could own such tools, he could assess his men and help them identify their weaknesses.

Although he could get a rough estimation without using the tools, nothing compared to the accuracy of these test results.

The next test was the evaluation of his special abilities.

For his Spatial Force ability, he was simply asked to attempt moving objects. Even so, he earned a rating of "Celestial Tier Two, lower level."
