Across from him, the Devil beastman appeared surprised. As if perplexed as to how the much smaller creature, which displayed no indication of Devil Qi, managed to resist its assault.
Enraged, it growled again and charged at the Tiger King.
Both of the Tiger Beasts roared in synchrony. A one-on-one fight seemed imminent as the remaining beastmen merely encircled the Devil Beastman without interfering
Ye Liuyun and Lei Ming slowly moved closer to observe the spectacle.
The Devil beastman was unaffected by the Jiuyou Song. Because it lacked Ocean of Consciousness, it was as if it had an unawakened spirit; its Divine Soul would be untouched by such a method. Hence, Ye Liuyun made no further attempts.
However, its cultivation technique was incredibly unique, and Ye Liuyun was curious to see how far it could battle.
The Tiger King’s strength matched Lei Ming’s, but he was at a disadvantage in terms of size, and the depletion of his genuine energy was inevitable.
The Devil Beastman’s Devil Qi was rapidly decreasing. Although it could replenish its Devil Qi from the air, it wasn’t enough to keep up with consumption.
Ultimately, because the Devil Beastman’s Devil Qi depleted faster, the Tiger King defeated him.

However, Ye Liuyun felt that this piece of information was too sparse and of little value.
He once again summoned the Purple Flame God and led him to the large tree that had been struck by Lei Ming’s thunder.
"This kind of tree, even under the attack of Lei Ming’s thunder, only has its bark shattered, while the tree trunk doesn’t seem to show any damage. Let’s see if this material could be of any use."
The Purple Flame God was not familiar with the wood. He decided to cut a piece off and refine it to study its properties. So, Ye Liuyun summoned his Demon Slayer, severed a sizable chunk, and gave it to him for refining.
The moment the Devil Beastman caught sight of the Demon Slayer in Ye Liuyun’s hand, its eyes lit up, and it let out a long howl.
Unfortunately, the Tiger King was unable to halt its action and, therefore, informed Ye Liuyun that it had contacted his company.
In the distance, a multitude of roars echoed in response. It was clear that many Devil Beastman were scampering towards them.
Taken aback, Ye Liuyun promptly unleashed his entire troops of Beastmen.
The sight of so many fully armed Devil Beastmens left Ye Liuyun’s team of Beastmens stupefied.
"Prepare for battle!"
The Tiger King gave the order for the defending warriors to form a line at the front, shields and spears in hand. Then, the archers were ready to fire.
The Devil Beastman, nevertheless, sprang in front of the troops just then, as if to prevent them from attacking.
As if attempting to communicate with his companions, he continuously howled.
Judging by his behaviour, Ye Liuyun reckoned it did not seem eager for a fight.
"What is he trying to do?" Ye Liuyun asked the Tiger King.
He’s implying that we should avoid fighting! Strangely, the Devil Beastman had gathered his comrades, but now he was resisting a battle. The Tiger King could only grasp its rough meaning.
Soon, more Devil Beastmen began to appear. However, they all halted at a distance, not inching closer, as if they were not there to fight.
The commander of Ye Liuyun’s army of Beastmen was ordered to remain on the defence and refrain from attacking.
Gradually, over five hundred Devil beastmen appeared before Ye Liuyun’s army.
None of them showed any aggression as they gazed curiously at the beastmen mounted with armour standing before them. On the contrary, they were cautious in the distance, treading carefully.
A fox-headed Devil beastman sprang to the front and stood at the forefront of its group.
As he cautiously approached Ye Liuyun’s troops, he looked around, then outstretched his arms to show that he did not carry any weapon and wished to negotiate.
The previous Devil Beastman Tiger also darted forward, urging the Tiger King to negotiate.
The Tiger King glanced at Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun was currently seated on Lei Ming’s back, observing the situation of the battlefield. He nodded slightly at the Tiger King, curious to hear what these Devil beastmen wanted to discuss.
The fox-headed beastman also glanced at Ye Liuyun and quickly figured out that he was the leader of this army.
He communicated with the Tiger King to relay to Ye Liuyun that they had no intentions of attacking. They only desired weapons.
These Devil Beastmen stated that they were no match for the Devil Clan and had become their prey. Because they were constantly under attack, their numbers dwindled rapidly.
Their main reason for not being able to fight against the Devil Clan was because they were unable to produce weapons.
He then handed a piece of black metal to the Tiger King to show Ye Liuyun.
From a distance, Ye Liuyun’s Golden Phantom Eyes saw the piece of metal and immediately discerned that it was the material they were looking for. Book Demon called it the Black Gold.
Before the Tiger King had the chance to give Ye Liuyun the chunk of Black Gold, Ye Liuyun communicated with him, asking him to inquire how much of this material they still had.
"That material is present all over the surrounding mountain in the vicinity," he reported to Ye Liuyun in response to the Tiger King’s question. "The Devil Clan crafts weapons, shields, and bows from it."
When Ye Liuyun heard this, he requested, "Enquire them how will they repay us if we refine their weapons for them?"
"They stated they can offer us cultivation techniques and Devil crystals. The Devil Crystals will make us even stronger," Tiger King replied to Ye Liuyun after gaining the answer.
The Purple Flame God exclaimed with delight as he informed Ye Liuyun of this. "Remember those trees? They’re lighter than metal and have incredible hardness. They can withstand erosion, water, and fire. Forging and building weapons will require this uncommon substance. Additionally, it contains an abundance of Devil Qi while recreating more Devil Qi independently."
The Purple Flame God had Azriel test it with the seawater from the Endless Sea. Astonishingly, the wood was resistant to the sea water’s corrosiveness.
"If we could have them, we’re bound to make a fortune!" exclaimed the Purple Flame God enthusiastically.
"Their cultivation technique can improve your power greatly, but you all will eventually turn into Devil Beast," Ye Liuyun queried the Tiger King after some consideration. "Will you do it?"
The Tiger King seemed unconcerned about it all. He was keen on becoming stronger.
However, Ye Liuyun didn’t wish for the beastmen to make a decision based on his or Tiger King’s will.
Thereupon, he told Tiger King to announce this information and asked everyone whether they were willing to become a Devil Beast to raise their right arm. He wanted to see how many would agree.
But when they heard their power might be doubled, nearly all the beastmen raised their hands.
As for the small number of beastmen who didn’t raise their hands, Ye Liuyun enquired as to their reason. They revealed that their main concern was the potential difficulty in future mating prospects. This was their main concern and no other.
