Chapter 2238: Chapter 2238 Semi Beast Demon

The testing results showed that the armor’s protective power exceeded the Immortal Level’s armour.
This suggested a huge need for such material not only for warships but also for the production of armour and weapons.
Ultimately, the Book Demon was the only person Ye Liuyun could turn to for assistance. The Book Demon was worldly-wise and had been to many places.
After giving it some thought, the Book Demon concluded that letting Ye Liuyun explore dangerous territory could enhance his strength. As a result, he promptly provided Ye Liuyun with the location’s coordinates.
He told Ye Liuyun that he could use the Black Tower to teleport there. However, Ye Liuyun was cautioned to be ready for battle because the location was situated in the extremely dangerous region of the Devil clan.
If a site was deemed dangerous by the Book Demon, it must be exceptionally perilous.
Leading the Blade Legion, Ye Liuyun brought along Yuan Hao, Songstress, Thousand Faces, Phantom Hand, Dragon Lady, and Lei Ming on the journey.
"The Devil Clan there are not the same kind that you have encountered before," the Book Demon added while laughing. "The landscape is unlike anything you have encountered before. To facilitate the mining of ores, I propose that you bring semi-beasts along."
Even when Ye Liuyun tried to ask for more information about the situation there, the Book Demon deliberately kept him in the dark.
He felt helpless and wondered if he would require a large workforce of miners due to his lack of knowledge of the place and the possibility that the ore would be difficult to extract.
Following the Book Demon’s instruction, he chose to bring the semi-beast along. It would not hurt to have them even if they were not needed then.
"How many people should I bring?” Again, Ye Liuyunsougth for Book Demon’s advice.
"When it comes to mining, the more men, the better!" Book Demin answered straight up.
Hence, Ye Liuyun systematically brought all of the Semi-Beast legions into his spatial world.
Finally, just before he left, he gathered the Purple Flame God and two other Formation masters who were experts in material study to verify everything there and then.
When Ye Liuyun arrived at the Devil Clan’s territory through the Black Tower’s teleportation, he was quite startled.
He discovered that this place was filled with Devil Qi and the absence of any spiritual energy at all.
Such conditions would cause a regular human martial practitioner to immediately lose combat power since his genuine energy was depleted.
Moreover, the Devil Qi greatly affected the Divine Soul’s power. His Divine Sense could not detect further than ten miles around here.
Therefore, he had to let Lei Ming out and use his Golden Phantom Eyes, along with Lei Ming’s sense of smell, to scout the surroundings.
Upon his release, Lei Ming seemed quite pleased with this environment.
It seemed like they were in the middle of a dense forest, with some unidentified Devil trees.
It was going to require around twenty people to wrap their arms around the thick, dark trunks, and you would have to gaze up twenty metres to see the tree tops.
A typical leaf was larger than Ye Liuyun’s head, and the thick canopies obscured the sun. Through the leaves, Ye Liuyun could only peek out the open sky only if he utilised his Golden Phantom Eyes.
They felt just like dwarves, standing under the vast tree.
"I reckon the sizes of the Devil beasts here should be pretty big!"
Ye Liuyun had been to a lot of strange places. Typically, when one encountered such towering plants, it was a sign that the creatures around were also rather large.
Lei Ming sniffed, "This place must be the territory of a Demonic Tiger!"
Looking around, Lei Ming saw a set of footprints that belonged to some beast.
Nonetheless, the tracks were more akin to an ape’s than a tiger’s. However, the aroma of the Demonic Tiger did emanate from these imprints, as Lei Ming had meticulously confirmed.
Ye Liuyun observed the footprints, pondered for a while, and summoned the Beast King, the Tiger Head, to make a few footprints for comparison.
As expected, the footprints were similar to the ones he had discovered, only half smaller.
"A semi-beast of the Devil Clan?" Lei Ming showed his curiousity.
"Roar!"
Suddenly, a tiger roar was heard from the distance.
Lei Ming and the Beast King Tiger Head understood the intention of the roar.
"It has detected us and is coming at us," they informed Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun wasted no time in calling for 10 beast-men to be ready for battle, and he prepared to see if the Jiuyou Song would be able to help them.
He also released his clone as a backup plan. If they failed to battle the Beast, the clone could use its radiant light to annihilate the enemy.
Soon, a semi-beast from the Devil Clan emerged from the deep forest. His running posture was similar to the Tiger King. He could run like a human and occasionally bend down to accelerate his pace with the help of his forepaws.
With the Golden Phantom Eyes, Ye Liuyun knew it was merely a Beast-Man. The only difference was that it was a Devil Clan member.
What surprised Ye Liuyun even more was that this beastman of the devil tiger had no virtuoso, no Ocean of Consciousness. The energy from his attacks stemmed from the Devil Qi within his bloodline.
Hence, Ye Liuyun was unable to ascertain what his strength level was.
Lei Ming instantly showed his true form and let out a deep growl. Tiger King brought his team of beastmen and got ready for a battle.
Upon noticing this, the Demonic Tiger came to a halt. He glanced at them with an intense, curious stare.
Everyone, including Ye Liuyun, was watching him closely. He dwarfed Lei Ming in stature while being over twice the size of the Tiger King.
So when he saw Lei Ming transform, he started to hesitate whether to attack.
Ye Liuyun always harmonized the Jiuyou Song with his Divine Soul, but it didn’t seem to have much effect on the Devil beast.
"Roar!",
He roared once more to assert sovereignty over this territory.
Lei Ming, however, would not tolerate such behaviour and sent a wave of lightning over through his horn.
The Demonic Tiger swiftly dodged, but the power of the lightning struck a tree behind him, peeling off a large piece of bark from the tree and causing it to emit black smoke.
The Demonic Beast turned back to look at the tree and was taken aback. Growling lowly, he began to slowly retreat, obviously planning to flee.
"Roar!"
At this juncture, the beastman Tiger King also let out a roar and led his ten beastmen to charge.
The Devil Clan beastman looked confused as he wondered what species they were.
But it did not bolt either when it saw that Lei Ming was not showing any attack posture. Although these beastmen looked like it, they were much smaller in size and lacked Devil Qi, hence, it wasn’t afraid at all.
Only when the Tiger King approached did it swing its palm to fight off the Tiger King.
Ye Liuyun’s Golden Phantom Eyes noticed that within its palm strike, there was only the Devil Qi, without any other power.
"This semi-beast has no realm!" Ye Liuyun was somewhat curious.
Nonetheless, the Tiger King also fought valiantly, landing a counterattack that ultimately resulted in a draw.
Following a loud bang in the air, the collision of genuine energy and Devil Qi caused an explosion that sent the energy scattering in all directions.
