"Mr Jin, the situation started when our pet broke into the Shui Family’s medical field and ate their herbs," Lei Ming answered right away. "We intended to compensate for the losses. But their captain extorted us and demanded thirty million Spirit Crystals."
"The commander ordered his soldiers to assault us when we refused. In the conflict, we killed some of their men. We then assumed that the medicinal herb field should be considered our spoils of war, and thus, we collected the herbs."
"We had thought to return the medicinal herbs if they treated us with a good attitude. However, to our surprise, they launched at us instantly without any discussion!"
Her voice was clear and sharp. She spoke so fast that nobody could interrupt her. She articulated her words as her party was being reasonable.
After she spoke, Shui Hengfeng retorted, "Nonsense! No matter what, you should not have plundered the entire medicinal field!"
"Is that so? Don’t worry, I’ll handle this,"
Jin Hui assured them after hearing her story. He then comforted Lei Ming and told her to take care of Ye Liuyun.
He then stood in front of Shui Hengfeng and replied, "Since you suppress others with your powerful background, then we shall compete with our strength. We won’t return a single herb to you. Those who died by our attack shall remain be. You should all leave now!"
Shui Hengfeng was so enraged that he was left speechless.
"Do... Do you realize that we’re of the Shui Family? Haven’t you heard of us?"
Jin Hui thought for a moment before he shook his head, "We truly don’t know."
He turned to look at the others, and they all simultaneously nodded their heads in agreement.
Shui Henfeng couldn’t find any words to retort his statement.
Shui Hengfeng was left utterly speechless.
No matter how powerful the Shui Family was, they were helpless against those who never knew of them or were intimidated by their power.
Judging from Ye Liuyun’s acquaintance with this man, he reckoned that they were refugees from the border battlefield.
"What’s the matter? Why are you not leaving yet? Are you waiting for us to see you off?" Jin Hui continued.
"You shouldn’t just bully anyone." Shui Hengfeng felt intimidated but still tried to maintain his integrity.
"Bullying? Aren’t you the one bullying us and hurting our people!" Scorch commented from the side.
"That’s true!" Jin Hui instantly understood and said to Shui Hengfeng, "You broke my friend’s arm and we can’t just let you go. You all may leave after disabling your arms."
"Don’t force me! You can’t afford it!"
"What? You killed our people, stole our herbs, and now asking us to disable our arms?" Shui Hengfeng found it unbelievable.
All this while, no one dared to offend him. He was the one who could oppress the others.
But the people before him hadn’t heard of the Shui family and he couldn’t win against them based on strength.
"Then let me experience your strength!" an advanced martial practitioner from the Shui family stepped forward.
He wanted to destroy all four of them. However, even if he were to beat two of them, the other ones would still be able to overcome him due to their sheer numbers and magical weapons.
Yet, Jin Hui laughed as he asked him, "It appeared as if he had to take action today, isn’t it?"
The martial practitioners responded with a forced smile, "Since you claim strength talks, you’ll have to show your hands!"
Ye Liuyun quickly conveyed a message to the four of them, "Act together. Except for Shui Hengfeng, spare none of these martial practitioners. Make it a swift!"
Jin Hui nodded at the martial practitioner, "Alright, then I will satisfy your wish!"
The four of them started striking as soon as he was done speaking.
Ning Fei struck a punch that sent Shui Hengfeng flying, causing him to tumble to the ground and spew blood.
Even one of his attacks was too much for the others to withstand. Including the advanced seventh-level martial practitioners who had just provoked them. Before he could even draw his weapons, Jin Hui blew him away with a punch.
Then, the group quickly swept the battlefield clear.
Jin Hui then pulled Shui Hengfeng back.
"We told you all not to force us to take action. And that you can’t afford the consequences. Yet you refused to listen!" Jin Hui reminded him.
"Yes, yes, we failed to listen to your advice!" Shui Hengfeng had lost regard for his dignity at this time, constantly flattering, hoping that Jin Hui would spare him.
Ye Liuyun gave the others the order to lead away the other guards. It would be sufficient that they were there. By this time, no one would doubt Ye Liuyun and Shui Binyue anymore.
Then, Ye Liuyun told Jin Hui to tear off Shui Hengfeng’s item that could defend his divine soul attack and conducted a soul search on him right away.
"So it’s true that Shui Bingyue’s mother was killed by them!" Ye Liuyun found the information that Shui Bingyue needed.
"Tell your manager to bring all the resources in your residence here as ransom to claim you!"
Ye Liuyun instructed Shui Hengfeng and then told Jin Hui to watch him as he called the manager.
Shui Hengfeng dared not resist. He did as told and obediently called his manager as instructed by Ye Liuyun.
However, as soon as the manager arrived, Jin Hui killed him and collected all of the Shui family’s assets, which he then handed over to Ye Liuyun.
Their corpses were given to the feral beast, leaving the scene traceless.
Jin Hui then knocked out Shui Hengfeng with a single strike and extracted his virtuoso.
Ye Liuyun devoured one of his souls, then dumped him into his Interspatial Ring that could hold living things. He then took everyone into the Spatial World, put on the Concealcape to avoid being stalked, and set off to find Shui Bingyue.
The first mission was accomplished. The Shui family would never have suspected Shui Bingyue because the guards had witnessed the happening from a distance.
It was not until he arrived at the outskirts of the city and saw Shui Bingyue that Ye Liuyun revealed his true form and handed Shui Hengfeng to her.
Shui Bingyue received a full account of the information from Ye Liuyun’s soul search. However, he spoke as though others had gotten the information rather than him.
The speed at which Ye Liuyun returned surprised Shui Bingyue. When she first learnt that Ye Liuyun had finished the assignment, she was pleased. But when she learnt about her mother’s passing, she was filled with anguish and fury.
Ye Liuyun did not interfere with how she dealt with Shui Hengfeng, he had no intention of involving himself in their family affairs. In any case, she wouldn’t have gone too far because she was exacting revenge on her mother.
He brought Shui Bingyue away from the inn and rushed to the next medicinal herb base of the Shui family. On the flying vessel, he prepared a separate cabin for Shui Bingyue to interrogate Shui Hengfeng.
Only when they reached their destination did Shui Bingyue emerge from the cabin and thanked Ye Liuyun.
"Thank you for helping me investigate the truth about my mother’s death. I will always remember your kindness!"
"Let the past be in past, try not to dwell on it too much!" Ye Liuyun comforted her.
Shui Bingyue nodded and told Ye Liuyun: "I know the truth now. This time, there’s no need for you to capture any of them alive. What’s your next plan?"
"It would be a lot easier if it were a direct kill. I wouldn’t even have to be there! I’ll dispatch my men to carry out the killing and return with their heads for your confirmation." Ye Liuyun stated.
