Chapter 1802: Chapter 1802 Apology
In the dense forest, Xiao Yunfang almost instantly spotted Ye Liuyun.
"You pervert, I must kill you!" She yelled while chasing after him.
"Can you blame me? I saved you with good intentions, but you slapped me!" Ye Liuyun, while running, attempted to explain.
"Pervert!"
Xiao Yunfang refused to hear his reasons.
Ye Liuyun was afraid to run too far since he needed to keep an eye on the enemy troops with his divine sense. Thus, he could only circle nearby.
"I kept you alive! Are you repaying kindness with hostility? Ye Liuyun bellowed.
"I will kill you first before I take my own life!" Xiao Yunfang roared in return.
"You don’t have to do this! I came from so far away to save you. I may have made a mistake, but I still saved your life..." Ye Liuyun tried to reason.
"Is this what you call rescuing me?" You could as well end my life already! What a pervert! Xiao Yunfang accented every statement with "pervert." as she lunged her spear at him distantly.
Ye Liuyun ran and blocked her attack simultaneously without daring to stop.
At the moment, Xiao Yunfang was like a mad tigress, deaf to everything but her desire to murder Ye Liuyun.
"Hey! You still owe me an unreasonable wish! How about we call it even?" Followed by Xiao Yunfang, Ye Liuyun begged just as he was about to come to a dead end.
"Prepare to die!" Regardless of what he said, Xiao Yunfang kept thrusting her spear without hesitation.
"You believe I fear you?" As he watched Xiao Yunfang utterly ignore what he had said, he became enraged by her pursuit and took out his blade to retaliate. They both soon started fighting ferociously.
’Boom, boom, boom!’ They tore apart several trees in the thick forest.
Ye Liuyun was guilty, hence, he showed mercy in his attacks, but Xiao Yunfang was using all of his might, throwing spears at him with ruthlessness.
"Well, screw it!" Ye Liuyun swiftly manoeuvred himself around Xiao Yunfang, avoiding her attack as he talked to himself, "I’ll just wait till she has vented enough."
When Xiao Yunfang’s energy finally ran out, he utilised the force of heaven and earth to push her fall sitting on the ground.
"Feel better now? Are you calmer?" Ye Liuyun finally breathed a sigh of relief as he sheathed his sword.
However, this only served to infuriate Xiao Yunfang more, and she felt betrayed. The next second, so she burst into sobs.
"Just kill me!"
Ye Liuyun realised he might have gone too far seeing how devastated she was. He asked as he glanced at Xiao Yunfang, "Why are you crying? I’m sorry! Please calm down."
But her tears couldn’t be stopped.
"Sigh! I rushed to save you and your army as soon as I heard the news. I healed you, but you slapped me instead. Of course, I’m upset about it. Therefore, I pulled a prank in a moment of caprice. I promise that I didn’t actually touch you." Ye Liuyun attempted to clarify things for her.
But the more he explained, the harder she cried.
Xiao Yunfang then grabbed her long spear and pointed its tip directly at her own neck.
Fortunately, Ye Liuyun was watching out for her because he was afraid she might ambush him. He quickly reacted when he saw what she was doing and slapped the long spear out of her grasp.
But Xiao Yunfang’s neck had already been grazed by her spear with a minor wound.
"Are you crazy?"
Ye Liuyun hadn’t expected that Xiao Yunfang was actually attempting to end her life!
He was taken aback and quickly apologised to Xiao Yunfang again and again. But Xiao Yunfang only kept crying!
She cried as if she was expressing years of unresolved, pent-up grievances.
She not only had to shoulder everything as a commander, she needed to outperform men in every way to win the troops’ respect.
She felt even more insulted since Ye Liuyun had degraded her on top of the already difficult situation.
Hence, no matter what Ye Liuyun’s explanation was, she refused to hear it.
Ye Liuyun spent a considerable amount of time trying in vain to comfort her. He therefore turned to the women of the Spatial world for assistance.
"Go figure it out for yourself. You brought this mess upon yourself! I can’t handle it." Man Shu flatly declined.
Ye Liuyun glanced at Lei Ming, Dragon Lady, and Ye Tiandao. He soon realised that they were less reliable than himself.
Subsequently, he shifted his glance at Hua Xiangyuan and Lan Xin.
"Why not let her jab you with a spear? Let her vent and maybe she will feel better! As long as she doesn’t kill you. Don’t you have the Vital Waters?" Hua Xiangyuan suggested.
“Puff!”
All of the women burst out laughing again.
Ye Liuyun felt powerless and needed to find another way to solve it. However, despite repeated coaxing, and consoling, Xiao Yunfang’s emotions remained unsettled.
Finally, Ye Liuyun clenched his jaw, picked up Xiao Yunfang’s long spear, and handed it to her with the spear tip pointing at his chest.
"Alright, since I caused the trouble, you can stab me!" Ye Liuyun closed his eyes, waiting for Xiao Yunfang to stab it into him.
Ye Liuyun thought his action was sincere enough as an apology and it should be able to calm her down.
Ye Liuyun’s unexpected action grabbed Xiao Yunfang’s attention.
She grabbed the sword’s hilt, and Ye Liuyun’s eyelashes twitched while his eyes remained closed.
He couldn’t deny that he was nervous.
Nonetheless, he did not dodge or hide, but rather mentally prepared himself to be pierced through by the spear.
Xiao Yunfang, after crying for a long time, had vented out most of her grievances.
Thinking about the fact that Ye Liuyun came to save them, treated her wounds, and even got injured by her, she realised she was partially to blame.
However, she was unable to accept Ye Liuyun’s pranks.
But seeing Ye Liuyun look so calm with his eyes closed, she couldn’t bring herself to do it.
Finally, with a deep sigh, she threw the spear to the ground, as tears flowed down her cheeks.
When Ye Liuyun watched her toss the spear, he cautiously opened his eyes to see her still crying, and his nervousness intensified.
Xiao Yunfang bent her head, holding her knees, and began to sob again.
Ye Liuyun paced uneasily as he was unsure of what to do.
"I offered, but she refused to stab me! It means that she still doesn’t want to kill me. But what am I supposed to say now?”
He paced erratically in front of Xiao Yunfang, heaving sighs and struggling to formulate a response.
Having finally regained her composure, Xiao Yunfang became irritated by Ye Liuyun’s agitated movements and exclaimed, "Can’t you stop?"
Ye Liuyun froze in surprise at her scolding...
"What now, I can’t even move?" However, instead of expressing it aloud, he merely contemplated it internally.
He refrained from uttering any inappropriate remarks since Xiao Yunfang’s emotions had just stabilized a little.
He dared not utter a sound or make any unnecessary move.
As a result, he simply stood there, waiting for Xiao Yunfang to feel better.
After sulking for a while, Xiao Yunfang noticed Ye Liuyun had been silent. She looked up to see him standing listlessly facing her, not daring to move. He looked like a child who had done something wrong, hopelessly staring at her.
"Pfft!"
Suddenly, she burst out laughing.
Ye Liuyun looked at her in baffle. "Do I look funny? How could she cry in a moment and laugh the next? Is she going mad?"
Xiao Yunfang swiftly contained her laughter, grabbed up her spear, and straightened up before she quietly walked back.
When Ye Liuyun noticed her retreat, he hurriedly followed her.
"Pervert! "Keep away from me!" Xiao Yunfang noticed Ye Liuyun trailing her and was too humiliated to return with him, so she yelled at him to halt him.
Ye Liuyun could only stop in his tracks, cursing under his breath, "Tigress, madwoman!"
He waited until he saw Xiao Yunfang return to her tent before he hurried back to the camp.
Seeing Xiao Yunfang’s distraught state and her teary red eyes, the deputy lieutenant did not dare to ask anything.
