Chapter 1801: Chapter 1801 Commanding Battle
After trekking around twenty miles, Ye Liuyun instructed the lieutenant to summon the archers stationed at the forest boundary.
"They probably won’t pursue us now, pull our troops back."
"Yes!" The lieutenant quickly ordered the retreat of the squads tasked with delaying the enemy.
True enough, the opponent did not continue their pursuit but instead began planning their next move.
The enemy was made up of many teams, and none of them wanted to assume the forefront position, fighting on the front lines. Additionally, each team wanted to compete for merits, so they had been arguing for a while.
Meanwhile, Ye Liuyun’s group continued to flee out of their Divine Sense’s detection range.
"Eh? How did you know they won’t immediately pursue us?" The lieutenant asked curiously.
"Leave someone to set up traps! From here to wherever we reach, the more, the better. Remember to wait until our troops blocking the enemy return before setting the trap up!"
Ye Liuyun did not answer him directly and instead gave him another task.
They had run another couple of miles into the forest when Ye Liuyun called the lieutenant again.
"Spread the archers and their guards on both sides of this area, camouflage themselves carefully, and do not expose their location unless ordered. Be wary against attack from feral beasts." Ye Liuyun continued ordering.
"Yes!" The lieutenant immediately made arrangements.
Then Ye Liuyun summoned Ye Tiandao, saying, "You say here in ambush. Wait until both sides’ archers begin shooting, then look for an opportunity to take out the enemy’s commander."
Ye Tiandao nodded and went to find a spot to conceal himself.
Ye Liuyun and the others ran for about a hundred miles before stopping to rest.
"I’ll treat her injuries first. You prepare a scout for the perimeter assessment. Notify me immediately if there is any news! The rest of you can rest." Ye Liuyun spoke to the deputy lieutenant.
"Yes!" The deputy lieutenant promptly left to issue the orders.
Ye Liuyun then took Xiao Yunfang back to the Spatial World. He removed her armour, undid her clothes, and started to pull out the arrow.
The arrow had pierced into her ribcage. pulling it out directly would not only cause excessive bleeding but damage the muscles and bones. Therefore, Ye Liuyun needed to pull it out slowly and carefully while healing her with his genuine energy.
"Tsk tsk, what a lucky guy! To be able to look freely at her naked body!" Hua Xiangyuan blurted out jealously upon witnessing the scene.
Lan Xin snickered, covering her mouth with her hands, "Don’t simply make remarks, he is trying to save her life!"
"Hmph, he still got to see her!" Hua Xiangyuan retorted.
At this point, Ye Liuyun was completely focused on extracting the arrow. The poison in Xiao Yunfang’s body had already been fully extracted.
All that remained was to pull out the arrow, after which he could clean out the residual toxins.
However, Xiao Yunfang abruptly awoke.
After the toxins in her body were cleared, she regained consciousness.
When she opened her eyes, she found herself bare-chested, with Ye Liuyun’s hand resting on her chest as it clutched the broken arrow.
"Ah!"
She screamed in shock, raising her hand to slap Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun had been focusing on pulling the arrow. As a result, he was caught off guard by the abrupt smack. When the slap sent him flying backwards, his hand drew the arrow out with him in one swift pull.
Fortunately, the broken arrow that had stabbed her did not go too deep and caused no major damage.
However, Xiaoyun Fang was overwhelmed by anxiety and pain. The sudden shock sent her into another faint spell.
Ye Liuyun held his face with his palm to ease the pain. He initially hesitated to continue treating her, but when he noticed her wound was still bleeding profusely, he couldn’t help but press on it with his palm, using his advanced energy to halt the bleeding and heal it.
"What the h*ll! I saved your life. Not only did you not thank me, you slapped me!"
Ye Liuyun became furious as he spoke and suddenly a naughty plan crossed his mind to taunt her.
He dipped his fingers in Xiao Yunfang’s blood and drew a cross on each of her peaks. After he stopped her bleeding, he then cleaned the residual blood mess.
Next, he randomly draped her in one of his inner garments, then with one hand carrying Xiao Yunfang and the other holding her armour, he brought her out of the Spatial World.
"Ha ha ha......"
Upon his departure, Hua Xiangyuan and Lan Xin virtually bent over with a frantic laugh.
"This guy elevates practical humour to a whole new level!" Hua Xiangyuan gasped between laughter.
After Ye Liuyun stepped out, he ordered the deputy lieutenant to set up a tent and call for a female trooper to take care of Xiao Yunfang as she rested.
The deputy lieutenant, seeing Xiao Yunfang’s dishevelled appearance, was dumbfounded and dared not reach out to receive Xiao Yunfang.
He swiftly snapped out of his disbelief and called over a female soldier to handle the situation while he avoided entering the tent.
Ye Liuyun, on the other hand, headed out with Lei Ming and some others to hunt for feral beasts in the vicinity.
With his Divine Sense, he could detect the situation outside the dense forest. When the enemy attacked, they could return in time to confront them!
After a while, a woman’s shrill scream sounded from inside the tent.
"Aaah!"
The two female soldiers instantly bolted out of the tent as they desperately stifled their laughter.
Xiao Yunfang remembered Ye Liuyun treating her wound earlier as soon as she woke up and her face blushed red with embarrassment. She instantly began inspecting her internal wounds.
Upo realising that her wound was beginning to heal, she relaxed herself.
She realised she was wearing a man’s undershirt and thus quickly changed out of it.
The two female soldiers who were serving her, though, could not help but gaze at her with bewildered eyes. Before long, they were biting their lip trying desperately not to giggle.
It was then Xiao Yunfang looked down and screamed.
Finding it impossible to restrain themselves any longer, the two female soldiers had to bolt out of the camp whilst struggling to suppress their laughter.
The deputy lieutenant was aware that serious problems were brewing. But he didn’t dare to hide from it. Knowing that Xiao Yunfang would come looking for him to interrogate him, he could only wait outside, dreading it.
Xiao Yunfang had dressed in her clothing and armour. Holding her long spear, she stormed out of the tent looking livid.
"Where is that lecherous man?"
As soon as Xiao Yunfang appeared, she clenched her teeth in rage.
Her eyes were blood-red, and her intense aura of killing left those around her breathless.
The vice-captain instinctively pointed in the direction where Ye Liuyun had gone.
"Pay with your llife!"
Xiao Yunfang turned her head and charged towards the direction he pointed.
"Great trouble is coming!"
The deputy lieutenant sighed heavily in his heart, praying silently for Ye Liuyun’s survival.
She immediately noticed the two female soldiers who had just come out.
Tears streamed down their faces as they trembled violently from controlling their laughter, yet they dared not laugh.
"What happened?" The deputy lieutenant asked.
One reacted with a shake of her head, unable to speak. The other twitched her lips slightly, and it took her a long time to eventually stammer, "We can’t say... the commander... will... murder... us!"
"You better hold your tongues then!" The deputy lieutenant, hearing this, dared not to ask further, fearful of getting involved in the conflict.
Ye Liuyun and his team were hunting when they noticed Xiao Yunfang charging towards them raging with murderous intent.
"The tigress is here! You guys better retreat!"
Ye Liuyun gathered his men returned to the Spatial World, and then turned on his heel to flee.
The women were puzzled until Lan Xin and Hua Xiangyuan explained the situation. Only then did they understand what was going on!
Lei Ming pretended to sigh and shook his head, "Ye Liuyun, it’s time to pray for your life!"
The Dragon Lady laughed as she said, "Should we prepare some Vital Waters for him just in case?"
Her joke sent everyone into a frantic laughter.
