"Yes!" The lieutenant agreed immediately, recognising Ye Liuyun’s idea as sensible, and conveyed the orders down the line.
When they rushed into the forest, the archers stopped at the border, blocking the enemy onslaught. At the same time, each archer was accompanied by a shieldbearer to guard them against enemy attack.
They retreated slowly while fending off the enemy. The rest of the team, aligning in the arrow formation as Ye Liuyun suggested, quickly moved deep into the forest. Any feral beasts they encountered were slayed right away.
