Chapter 479: Chapter 122: Destiny Believers After Divinity Ascension (Part 3)

Seeing the undisguised wonder in Su Mumu’s eyes, Qin Feng let the Divine Fire on his fingertip quietly fade. His voice carried a genuine curiosity as the silvery glow of the Ice Soul City Gate behind him landed on his shoulder, seeming to make his tone even clearer:

"Mumu?"

"Didn’t you say you didn’t want to ascend before?"

"Once you step into this Divine Domain, we can never go back to the Mortal Realm!"

Hearing this, Su Mumu gave a playful shrug. The Stone of the Gods in her hand created a rainbow trail as she moved. The wind on the plaza blew a few strands of her hair across her cheek, and her tone was a mix of resignation and relief:

"Sigh!"

"I didn’t want to come either!"

"But my cousin was nagging me nonstop every single day!"

"He said that in over ten Rebirths, he’d never met a powerhouse as huge as you. He finally managed to get a Stone of the Gods from you, and he said it’s a treasure that can open the gates to the Divine Realm. Wasting it would be a crime worthy of a lightning strike!"

She reached out and patted Qin Feng’s arm, a flash of "I’ve had enough" annoyance in her eyes:

"He pestered me for days. First, he told me the Divine Realm might have an endless supply of exotic fruits. Then, he bragged that the scenery here was definitely ten times better than in the Mortal Realm!"

"I just couldn’t take it anymore!"

"So I just decided to ascend with a ’let’s-give-it-a-shot’ attitude!"

At this, her eyes suddenly lit up. She pointed at the Ascenders milling about and said in a tone full of surprise at the coincidence:

"What a coincidence!"

"I just picked a random time to ascend. As soon as I stepped out of the Divine Domain’s Teleportation Gate, I saw you standing here spacing out, and I recognized you instantly!"

"Let’s go!"

"Let’s go in and see what this Holy City of the Divine Realm is all about!"

"Maybe we can find a way to bring my cousin here too, so he can experience this so-called Divine Realm for himself!"

Seeing her so full of energy, Qin Feng remembered them Fighting Side by Side and grabbing skewers together back in the Mortal Realm, and the corners of his mouth turned up in an unconscious smile.

The gleam from the gate guards’ silver armor reflected onto them both. In the distance, the chatter of other Ascenders could be heard. Amidst their reunion, the strangeness of the Divine Domain began to fade.

Then, Qin Feng pulled his gaze away from the gate. He turned and gestured for Su Mumu to join the slowly moving line ahead. The cold light from the Ice Soul Divine Stone City Gate shimmered across his Gilded Armor as he spoke in a crisp, decisive tone:

"Alright."

"Let’s get in line and enter the city."

After taking just two steps, he suddenly recalled Su Mumu’s tendency to try and make a deal with everyone she met back in the Mortal Realm. He paused, turned his head, and tapped the still-glowing Stone of the Gods in her hand, his voice taking on a deliberately serious tone:

"By the way, Mumu, try to rein it in a little. Don’t start trying to run your old business deals here."

Su Mumu, who had been staring intently at a Divine Pattern Longsword on a nearby Ascender’s hip, raised an eyebrow and turned to him.

"Huh? Why not? I was hoping to see if I could get my hands on some of the Divine Realm’s specialties!"

Qin Feng lowered his voice, his gaze sweeping over two Divine Realm guards chatting nearby. A faint golden light flowed between their fingertips—the pure fluctuation of the Power of Faith.

"The rules here are different from the Mortal Realm."

"Neither these Ascender players nor the Divine Realm natives of Silver Moon City use Mortal Realm resources like Gold Coins or ore anymore."

He raised a hand, conjuring a faint wisp of Divine Fire. A thread of pale golden energy swirled within it as he explained:

"Their universal currency is called the ’Fire of Faith.’ It’s the refined Power of Faith condensed by those who possess a Divine Format. It’s also the core resource for cultivation, trade, and even powering Divine Pattern equipment."

"I have a Basic Divine Format, so I can already generate a certain amount of Fire of Faith automatically each day."

"But you don’t have a Divine Format yet, so we don’t know how you’ll be able to acquire Fire of Faith."

"So we need to get the lay of the land first."

"We have to figure out how to get Fire of Faith."

Seeing Su Mumu nod with a look of half-understanding, Qin Feng’s tone grew heavier. He used his eyes to direct her gaze toward an Ascender further up the line who was getting the cold shoulder for trying to trade a Mortal Realm Gemstone.

"See? If you try to trade with Gold Coins or rare treasures from the Mortal Realm like we used to, it’s no different than offering them junk. You might even end up insulting them."

As they spoke, the line shuffled forward. A clear ray of light from a silver moon relief carving atop the gate fell between them.

Su Mumu, however, just stuck her tongue out playfully.

"Alright."

"I get it."

"We’ll have to take our grand business plan one step at a time."

"First, let’s head into this Holy City and do some market research."
