Chapter 133: Ungrateful
To dare leak the Boss’s privacy, he deserved to die!
"Cough!!!"
Andrew coughed once and said to Hannah with a serious expression, "First, I must declare one thing to you: I, your humble servant, am upright and incorruptible, and I absolutely do not covet female beauty!"
"Heh... Boss, ask the dog downstairs if he believes you?"
"Whether the dog believes it or not is none of my damn business."
Andrew continued to explain himself, "Secondly! My looking at legs is a normal physiological need, a normal reaction a man should have. This is not lechery!"
"6."
"Finally! Whether Professor Scarlett wears clothes or not is her own freedom; I never make demands of her."
Hannah listened and slowly nodded, "That’s true. You only put on an act in front of us. In front of Professor Scarlett, you’re probably scared to death."
"Hey! Who told you that!"
Just as Andrew got agitated, Hannah, who was still discussing matters with the art outsourcing vendor, suddenly interjected: "Give it up. I bet, with your self-deprecating nature, you’ve probably knelt on durians or keyboards quite a few times."
"Impossible! I warn you not to spread rumors! Watch out or I’ll sue you for defamation!"
As soon as Andrew finished speaking forcefully, he heard the sound of the studio door opening.
Turning his head, Andrew saw Scarlett had arrived. He immediately swallowed back what he was about to say, afraid that Scarlett had overheard their conversation, and quickly smiled and went over to chat with her to test the waters.
Seeing this, Hannah said to Hannah, "See? I was right. The Boss only dares to be fierce with us. Does he dare to be fierce with Professor Scarlett?"
"Disgusting."
Andrew walked next to Scarlett and asked with a grin: "Scar, why are you here?"
"My class is over. I came to see you. When you’re done being busy, we’ll go back together."
"Then let’s go back. I’m not busy; I’m just looking around here."
Andrew dared not let Scarlett stay there with him for too long. If those two big mouths, Hannah and Hannah, said a few things, he would probably have to kneel on durians again when he got home.
However, just as Andrew was about to leave, Scarlett suddenly received a call from Starly and went to the corridor outside alone first. Andrew had no choice but to wait a while longer.
While waiting, the gossipy Hannah leaned over again and asked Andrew.
"Boss, since you like looking at legs so much, why don’t I ever see Professor Scarlett wearing a skirt for you to look at?"
"Professor Scarlett doesn’t wear short skirts at all; how could she wear one for me to see?"
"Then, Boss, buy Professor Scarlett some to wear! That way you can feast your eyes to your heart’s content, right?"
Hannah’s suggestion made Andrew’s heart leap with joy.
That’s right! If he bought Professor Scarlett short skirts to wear only at home for him to see, wouldn’t that be incredibly satisfying?
But he quickly dismissed the idea.
At home, he was often rejected even when trying to hug Professor Scarlett. How could Professor Scarlett possibly wear a short skirt he bought back?
It only on night time, he dared to do anything back.
The ultimate result would probably be that he’d just end up playing with the skirt himself.
"Forget it, Professor Scarlett won’t wear it."
"Then does Professor Scarlett wear stockings?" Hannah asked again.
Andrew was getting a bit impatient from being questioned, "No! Why are you asking so much? Whether Professor Scarlett wears stockings or not has nothing to do with you, right?"
"But aren’t you, the pervert Boss, the one who likes looking at stockings?"
"Defamation! I’ll sue you for defamation!"
Andrew suddenly stood up agitatedly, holding onto his chair and pointing at Hannah while speaking non-stop, "This person is slandering me!"
Hannah looked at Andrew expressionlessly and said calmly, "Do you dare let me see your browser favorites and history?"
"Impossible! That contains business secrets! It’s not something you can look at!"
"Tch! Just making excuses."
Just then, Scarlett finished her call. Seeing this, Andrew quickly fled the scene.
"Damn it! She actually dared to threaten the Boss. This is total anarchy; she must be properly disciplined!"
"What discipline?"
Scarlett looked doubtfully at the muttering Andrew.
"Nothing, nothing."
Andrew repeatedly shook his head in denial and immediately changed the subject. If Professor Scarlett found out he was secretly looking at study materials, he would be finished.
"By the way, what did Auntie call you about?"
"She’s feeling a bit stressed about some things and called me to confide and vent."
Sometimes Starly would act silly or do something quirky, and Scarlett could understand, letting her be. After all, the pressure and burden on Starly were truly heavy; venting occasionally was good for her.
Thinking about this, Scarlett suddenly thought of Andrew and the complaints he had made to her that afternoon.
This Little Fellow, ever since signing the gambling agreement, must be under a lot of pressure too, right?
Should I let him relax and unwind a bit?
Originally, Scarlett was worried that Andrew might feel too much pressure, leading him to become depressed and unhappy.
But that evening, after Catherine came over to freeload a meal, she realized she had worried unnecessarily.
"I suddenly realized something, I let you come over and freeload meals every day and never say anything, am I being too lenient with you?" Andrew said to Catherine with dissatisfaction.
Catherine retorted defensively, "I already agreed to wash the dishes, what more do you want!"
"I have to go grocery shopping, wash the vegetables, and work hard to make a whole table of food, and you just wash the dishes, and you think freeloading isn’t being too lenient?"
"Then what else do you want me to do? Even if I don’t come, you still have to cook, right? Me helping you wash the dishes is already quite good, okay?"
As Andrew and Catherine argued back and forth, they started tearing each other down again.
"Heh, you actually have the nerve to argue, without your mouth, I could even cook less, why don’t you mention that? You constantly tell the Scar how bad I am at this and that, why don’t you find a Boyfriend to cook for you?"
"My parents haven’t even rushed me, do you think it’s your turn to rush me to find someone?"
The two chattered incessantly, until Scarlett finally couldn’t help but clear her throat lightly, "Stop arguing! Eat."
Chastised by her words, the two finally quieted down and ate honestly.
But neither was willing to concede to the other. If Scarlett didn’t know these two were biological siblings, she would have thought they were sworn enemies with some deep-seated hatred.
She had actually worried that Andrew might feel depressed and unhappy.
With the way this Little Fellow was laughing and joking every day, how could he possibly be unhappy?
After finishing dinner, Scarlett walked towards her bedroom and said lightly, "I’m a bit tired, I’m going to rest for a while. You two stop arguing."
"Oh."
"Okay."
Andrew and Catherine watched Scarlett quietly enter the bedroom, neither saying a word.
Only when Scarlett’s figure disappeared around the corner did Catherine quietly ask Andrew, "Did you make Professor Scarlett unhappy again today?"
"How is that possible? Professor Scarlett taught classes all day today, and she was even very happy in the afternoon."
Andrew still hadn’t brought himself to touch the left side of his face that Scarlett had kissed that afternoon.
Professor Scarlett was so happy then, how could it be that he made her unhappy.
"Then why does it look like Professor Scarlett is a bit unhappy? She went back to her room alone, looking like she has something on her mind."
Catherine stretched her neck and peeked into Scarlett’s bedroom. The other woman was sitting on the bed, quietly looking down at her phone, clearly looking unhappy.
Andrew also secretly took a look and realized that was indeed the case.
The two immediately huddled together again. They were bickering just a second ago, perhaps this is what it means to be biological siblings.
"I recall that in the evening, Professor Scarlett received a call from Aunt Starly, and ever since then, she hasn’t seemed to be in a very good mood."
"Huh? What Aunt Starly? Are you malfunctioning?"
"Hey! It’s Professor Scarlett’s Aunt Starly, isn’t it normal for me to call her Aunt Starly?" Andrew complained speechlessly.
Catherine nodded after hearing this, "Oh, then you don’t know what Professor Scarlett talked about with her?"
"I don’t know, Professor Scarlett went out alone to take the call at that time."
"Then why don’t you go comfort Professor Scarlett? Being sullen and unhappy is very bad for your health, especially for women. You don’t want your Professor Scarlett to turn into an old lady after she turns thirty, do you?"
As soon as these words came out, Andrew almost jumped up anxiously, "Don’t talk nonsense! You’re the old lady, Professor Scarlett will forever be eighteen!"
"Who’s talking nonsense? I’m reasoning with you, anger and depression are genuinely bad for the body."
Catherine’s mouth twitched in anger. She was kindly reminding him, yet he took it the wrong way.
This ungrateful brat.
No, he was always ungrateful.
"But how should I comfort Professor Scarlett?"
Andrew couldn’t think of a way to make Professor Scarlett happy for a moment. Dinner had just finished, so he couldn’t use food to placate her.
"How about you buy Professor Scarlett a cup of milk tea? Milk tea is sweet, and when people ingest sugar, they become happy."
Andrew glanced at Catherine with disdain, "Do you think Professor Scarlett is like you? Always thinking about milk tea, fried chicken, and cola."
Saying that, Andrew also found a strange question, "Aren’t you studying medicine? Eating too much of things like milk tea, fried chicken, and cola is bad for your health, shouldn’t you know that very clearly? How can you still keep eating it?"
