Chapter 132: Foodsta
Although last night’s sneak attack felt great, there was a price to pay afterward.
The next morning, Andrew was punished by having to kneel on durian peels while eating breakfast.
"If you dare to sneak attack and grab me again, watch out, or I’ll grab your Little Thing too!"
Scarlett said, glaring fiercely at Andrew, and made a tight gripping motion with her right hand, which scared Andrew so much that his whole body trembled.
Professor Scarlett is truly ruthless; she actually dared to punish me like this.
After breakfast, the two of them went to school together. Scarlett had many classes today, both in the morning and afternoon, so she didn’t have time to tutor Catherine.
Andrew also had classes almost all day, with only the last two classes in the afternoon being free.
After the English class in the afternoon ended, everyone else left the teaching building—some went to eat, others returned to the dorms. Plus, the weather was cold, so far fewer people went out to play.
However, Andrew remained seated and did not leave.
On the podium, Scarlett tidied up her lesson notes, preparing to teach another class shortly.
When she looked up and saw Andrew was still there, she couldn’t help but ask in confusion, "Why are you still here?"
"Continuing to attend your class, Scar."
"The next class isn’t for your class. What are you staying here for?" Scarlett narrowed her eyes and stared at Andrew.
She wondered what mischief this Little Thing was planning now.
However, she wasn’t worried; after all, this was a classroom, and Andrew usually knew his limits.
"Hehe, I just want to look at Scar a little longer."
Hearing this answer, Scarlett couldn’t help but smile, "Tch, you see me every day. Am I that good-looking?"
"Yes, seeing you every day isn’t enough. Seeing you all the time is never enough."
"Tch, all sweet talk."
Scarlett pouted, trying not to let Andrew see her inner joy, but the smile on the corner of her mouth was hard to suppress.
"Alright, stop staying here to cause trouble for me. Go hang out with your friends."
"They’ve already kicked me out. If I go over now, they’ll just shut the door on me."
What Andrew said wasn’t false. Ever since he and Scarlett went public as a couple, Ethan and the others had treated him with extreme disdain and disgust.
Furthermore, Andrew hadn’t played fair and had tricked them several times. It was already merciful of Ethan and the others not to hunt him down.
"Then you can go to the studio and chat with Hannah and the others. As the boss, you can’t always be idle, right?"
Scarlett offered another suggestion. Andrew listened and put on a wronged expression, "Scar, are you already sick of me and trying to chase me away?"
"No, how could I be sick of you?"
Scarlett reached out and pinched Andrew’s cheek, "Can you stop being so weird even at school?"
Although she knew Andrew’s wronged expression was faked, Scarlett found it endearing and wanted to hug him. But hugging and cuddling in school wasn’t appropriate, which made her heart itch.
"Stop wasting time. Class is about to start. If you stay, other students whose class it isn’t might also come to my class, and it will be awkward for me to turn them away."
This was the reason Scarlett wanted Andrew to leave.
When she first started teaching at Blackthorn University, a bunch of students came to audit her classes, often filling the room so much that the students registered for the class sometimes didn’t have a seat.
Eventually, the Dean of the School of Finance couldn’t stand it and prohibited students from auditing classes freely. Scarlett also strictly forbade other students from auditing, and things gradually returned to normal.
If she let Andrew stay and audit her class, how could she reprimand others later?
Andrew naturally understood this logic; he would leave when class started, but there was still some time now.
"Hey, Scar, it’s been a while since we had some close interaction. Can you give me a small reward?"
Andrew leaned close to Scarlett and whispered.
"How long has it been?"
Scarlett was getting a little annoyed that Andrew wouldn’t leave. She had clearly kissed him twice the night before when covering him with a blanket.
"Isn’t that a long time? You haven’t even let me hug you since the autumn outing the week before last!"
Andrew also had a grievance. Other couples hugged and cuddled all day long, and condoms for adults near the school were sold out. He and his Girlfriend barely hugged once a week — wasn’t that too much?
Hearing Andrew’s complaint, Scarlett quickly realized that the kisses she gave the Little Fellow were all sneak attacks while he was asleep, and he didn’t know about them, so perhaps she couldn’t blame him.
Damn it! This Little Thing sneak-attacked me last night, and now he wants another benefit.
Scarlett pouted, deliberately putting on a reluctant expression, and kissed Andrew on the cheek. But as she pulled back, her expression turned into a smile.
"Alright, can you leave now?"
"Yes, yes."
Andrew’s mood instantly brightened, and he left the classroom contentedly.
Not long after leaving the teaching building, he ran into the Third Class from the neighboring section coming for their class. Seeing Andrew’s beaming face, several boys felt extremely unbalanced.
"That kid really deserves a beating!"
"Damn it! Why does he get to be Professor Scarlett’s Boyfriend? Is it just because he’s shameless enough?"
...
At this moment, a girl from the Third Class heard this and abruptly retorted, "He’s handsome, he has money, he can earn money, and he’s witty. What can you guys do besides playing games?"
"..." After being told that, their feelings of envy, jealousy, and hatred subsided considerably.
After leaving the teaching building, Andrew went to the studio. It was very quiet inside, with only the faint sounds of Hannah and Hannah chatting and the clatter of keyboards.
"What are you two doing?"
"Ah!!!"
Hannah was so startled she almost dropped her phone. Seeing that the person who came was Andrew, she quickly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Boss, you scared me to death! Don’t you make any noise when you walk?"
"I just came to see if you two are working seriously. What are you afraid of? What’s wrong? Did I catch you slacking off?"
Andrew said righteously.
This made Hannah anxious: "Hey! Qingqing Jie and I are finding a good name and logo for your new software, and you accuse us of slacking off! Do you have any conscience?"
"Exactly!"
Hannah also joined the denunciation, "You are stingy to the extreme, yet you won’t hire a graphic designer. We have to find outsourcing for this kind of thing, and you call us slackers? Are you even human?"
"Hey, hey! When did you two start wearing the same pants? You’re collectively denouncing the boss. What are you trying to do? Rebel?"
Andrew glared at the two of them sideways.
Hannah and Hannah couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to Andrew and continued thinking about names. They understood their boss’s character; besides being stingy, he wasn’t bad, so joking around with him was fine.
"Boss, what do you think of naming the software Foodsta?"
Hannah presented her idea to Andrew, "It has the meaning of food, and also the implication of gossiping."
"Oh! That’s good! I didn’t expect you to be so smart."
"What are you talking about? I’ve always been smart, okay?"
While Hannah was feeling proud, she said to Andrew, "Since you adopted my idea, is there a reward? I saved you an expense on naming fees."
"I adopted your idea, isn’t that the reward? When the software takes off, I’ll tell everyone that I came up with the name ’Foodsta.’ Isn’t that reward awesome?"
"..."
Hannah pouted speechlessly, "If you don’t want to pay money, just say so directly. There’s no need to beat around the bush."
After the software naming was finalized, the next step was to outsource the logo design. Andrew directly told Hannah to use the money he had in the company account for it.
If he was stingy about this, he truly wouldn’t seem human; he’d be more like a beast.
"Speaking of which, Boss, you’re such a lecherous person, why haven’t we seen you make Professor Scarlett wear a skirt?"
Hannah suddenly asked Andrew this question out of the blue.
This question made Andrew blush, "No! Me, lecherous? I warn you not to slander me! Watch out or I’ll dock your pay!"
"I’m not slandering you. Mark Vane mentioned it during our chat last night. He said you just like looking at legs and feet, and all the study materials you collect are of long legs."
"Mark Vane!"
"Boss, my stomach hurts, I’m going to the restroom first."
Before Andrew could demand an explanation, Mark Vane fled to the restroom, angering Andrew so much he almost rushed in to take away all his toilet paper.
If it weren’t for the fact that Mark Vane had worked hard writing the software code for him, Andrew would definitely have docked all of his overtime pay for this month.
