Chapter 402: Chapter 401: Playing Along to the End
As soon as they entered the airport, reporters surrounded them, interviewing South Grant about the villa audition.
"Mr. Grant, we would like to interview you about the villa auditions for the Iron Blood production team."
South Grant knew immediately that these media outlets were misled by Henry Grant’s hired online trolls and public relations drafts.
"I think you are interviewing the wrong person. You should talk to the staff of the Iron Blood production team, the producer, and the director. It has nothing to do with us," South Grant said politely.
"The Iron Blood production team has already responded, saying that this is purely a rumor. Some netizens pointed out that this matter was instigated by you, Mr. Grant. We want to know, as someone from The Grant Family, why would you target your own family’s company?"
"Yes, Mr. Grant, can you explain? Is there a family feud that has led to an irreconcilable conflict between you and the current leader of the Grant Group?"
These reporters were overactive in their imagination, dragging this issue into The Grant Family’s internal conflict.
South Grant looked at these reporters. Although their guess was correct, it was not the time to admit it.
"You’ve overthought it," South Grant said calmly.
Then she checked the time. It was almost time to board, yet these reporters were still blocking her.
South Grant wanted to leave, but as more and more people surrounded her, she frowned.
At this point, there were not only reporters but also many onlookers in the airport.
This situation had South Grant and Rosalind Sutton trapped in the center, and if South Grant wanted to leave today, her staff would definitely have to push through.
She could already predict the next set of public relations drafts:
"Rookie star acts high and mighty, pushing fans at the airport."
"Is South Grant straightforward or ill-mannered? Treating fans this way."
These labels were continuously thrown at South Grant, leaving a terrible first impression on the fans.
This was particularly important for her future image.
Before she even became famous, she was already tainted.
If she ignored it and let these reporters ask questions, and allowed those outside to block her, she would definitely miss her flight.
South Grant looked at the crowd outside. It was obvious that these were not real fans.
South Grant understood.
These people were only here to delay her today.
To delay her flight.
South Grant sneered inwardly.
Since they wanted to play, she would play along to the end.
South Grant whispered to Rosalind Sutton, "I’m the one they’re targeting for the interview. You all should board first, don’t let it delay you."
"What about you?" Rosalind Sutton’s brows knitted slightly.
"I’ll come later. Tell the director to shoot other scenes first, leave mine out. I’ll come over once I handle things here."
Rosalind Sutton’s assistant escorted her away. These people didn’t make things difficult for her, showing that they were indeed targeting South Grant.
Knowing their intent, South Grant was no longer in a hurry. She wanted to see what Henry Grant planned to do.
Everyone traveling with South Grant had already boarded, but the reporters were still surrounding her with irrelevant questions.
Seeing that the flight South Grant was supposed to be on had already taken off, the crowd outside gradually dispersed.
Only the reporters remained, with South Grant’s assistant blocking the persistent questions, allowing South Grant to slip away from the crowd.
Just as South Grant had exited the airport, a call from Shawn Grant came through.
"Have you boarded the plane yet?"
"No, something came up and delayed me."
"It’s good that you haven’t left. Your grandmother and aunt are arriving this afternoon. There will be a welcome banquet tonight, make sure you come."
