Chapter 403: Chapter 402: Primary and Secondary Personalities

Grandmother and Aunt?

As Shawn Grant mentioned this, South Grant remembered their aunt, Rhiannon Grant, who had been studying abroad for a long time.

And the so-called grandmother was actually Joy Clayton, whom Jared Grant married later on. Jared abandoned his first wife because of her, forcing the original wife to leave the country.

In recent years, as Jared Grant aged, the real power of the Grant Group gradually fell into the hands of Joy Clayton’s two sons, so she no longer needed to guard against other women and didn’t want to stay home with Jared, who was over ten years her senior. Thus, she accompanied her youngest daughter, Rhiannon Grant, to study abroad.

Upon returning today, Miles Grant prepared a grand welcome banquet for his mother, during which all shareholders of the Grant Group would attend.

After hanging up the phone, South Grant pondered over today’s events. The airport scene was definitely arranged by Henry Grant, but was it really to keep her in Aethelgard for Joy Clayton’s banquet?

Even if the banquet proceeded without her, Henry Grant must have had other schemes in mind, so he did everything to delay her journey.

So long as she was in Aethelgard, it would be inexcusable not to attend Joy Clayton’s banquet and she would be accused of disrespecting her elders.

She had to stand firm and face challenges. If she hesitated out of fear, how could she ever contend with Miles Grant and Henry Grant? Today, she was determined to see what kind of trap this banquet truly was.

Jackson Zane had already started investigating the matters South Grant had instructed him about yesterday, and had made some headway by now.

If that woman, Yvonne Lawson, was indeed Owen Hayes’s mistress, her hospital wouldn’t be just any ordinary one.

Using this process of elimination, Jackson excluded ordinary hospitals, narrowing it down to three women named Yvonne Lawson.

Among them, one had already given birth.

The other two were just over six months pregnant.

From the records filed at the hospitals, only the woman who had already given birth had the father’s section blank, while the other two had detailed records of both parents.

After reviewing the data sent by Jackson Zane, South Grant could basically identify the woman who had recently given birth.

After seeing which hospital she was at, she was a bit surprised. Coincidentally, it was Vincent’s hospital.

It was like searching all over only to find it without any effort.

South Grant handed her suitcase to her assistant and went directly to take a taxi to Vincent’s hospital. She knew that Dr. Vance’s office was on the top floor, so she took the elevator up.

As she approached Dr. Vance’s office, South Grant thought she heard Nathan Foster’s voice.

She couldn’t quite catch what they were saying from afar. Vincent, with a rather loud voice, could be heard saying:

"Her condition is quite rare. Her primary personality must have forgotten something, while the secondary personality remembers it. I think you should tell her, let her know about her condition."

Just then, Dr. Vance’s assistant, standing at the door, saw South Grant approaching and politely called out, "Young Master Grant."

This greeting made the two people inside the room fall silent. The door was then opened from the inside, and Nathan Foster was the first to step out. Upon seeing South Grant, he couldn’t help but ask:

"Weren’t you supposed to fly today?"

"Something came up and delayed me. Uncle, what are you doing here?"

Before Nathan Foster could reply, Vincent, who had followed behind him, answered:

"It’s about Mrs. Fisher. Her condition fluctuates recently, and Nathan was asking if I had any solutions."

Apparently, Nathan Foster was inquiring about his mother, Susan Fisher.

Recalling Vincent’s earlier words, South Grant looked at Nathan Foster with some doubt and asked:

"Did I hear Dr. Vance mention something about primary and secondary personalities? Does Grandma have a personality disorder?"

ps: Goodnight, I’m going to bed early so I can get up early to write tomorrow.
