Chapter 401: Chapter 400: Nathan, the Baby Is Moving
She thought for a long time but couldn’t remember having any contact with Arthur.
Afterwards, South Grant shook his head, bypassed Arthur to the other side of the bed, and just as he was about to lie down, Nathan Foster glanced at her.
"Be careful, you’ll have a headache if you don’t dry your hair." Nathan Foster reminded her.
"It’s short hair, it’ll dry in a bit." South Grant said carelessly.
At this time, Nathan Foster got out of bed and went into the bathroom, and when he came out again, he had a few dry towels in his hand.
Then Nathan Foster walked to the bedside and saw South Grant lying on the bed, flipping through her phone.
Nathan Foster gave her a tap on the butt, "Lie down with your head suspended."
South Grant was about to get angry at him for tapping her butt, but when she saw the towel in his hand, she knew what he was going to do, so she obediently lay down.
Nathan Foster sat by the bed, lifted her head with one hand, and used the other hand to gently dry her hair with the towel. When the towel got a bit damp, he’d switch to a clean one.
This method of drying hair is a lot better than using a blow dryer, as it doesn’t damage the hair.
South Grant lay there, feeling Nathan Foster’s gentle rubs, thoroughly enjoying it. Even back when her parents were around, they treated her like a boy and never showed such tender indulgence. Nathan Foster was the first.
Maybe it was Nathan Foster’s excessively gentle touch, but under his massage, South Grant drowsily drifted off to sleep.
Recently, South Grant often had dreams; sometimes she remembered them when she woke up, sometimes she didn’t.
But most of the dreams were related to this villa, to this place.
Now, as she lay on Nathan Foster’s lap, with him gently drying her hair, South Grant had another dream.
She dreamt that she was lying on a bed and it was Vincent’s assistant who was examining her. In the dream, she was already six months pregnant. After the assistant finished and left, Nathan Foster walked in.
"How are you feeling?" Nathan Foster’s voice was low and melodic, sounding in her ear. South Grant raised her head, giving a bright smile, "The baby is doing well."
Just then, on the left side of South Grant’s belly, a bump protruded, and she exclaimed.
Nathan Foster frowned, his expression slightly tense as he asked, "What’s wrong?"
"He’s kicking me." South Grant’s eyes fell on the raised spot of her belly.
Nathan Foster looked over, but couldn’t see anything through her clothes. At this moment, South Grant carefully took Nathan Foster’s hand, placing it on the protruding spot.
"Can you feel it? He’s playing with us."
The little one inside was mischievous, as if playing hide and seek with the adults. Once they touched him, he’d immediately move to another spot.
South Grant was lost in this joy and didn’t notice the smile that had long spread from Nathan Foster’s mouth to his eyes.
Seeing South Grant asleep, Nathan Foster’s movements became even more gentle. He touched South Grant’s hair, which was already fully dry.
Just as he was about to adjust her body to lie flat, he heard South Grant murmuring softly:
"Lynn, feel it, the baby is moving."
Nathan Foster froze, looking at South Grant in surprise. This wasn’t the first time she’d mentioned a child.
What on earth was she hiding?
South Grant woke up very early the next morning. The shoot wasn’t in Aethelgard, so she had to travel with the rest of the crew to the filming location early in the morning.
The flight was at nine o’clock, so they had to head to the airport early.
The crew was supposed to set off together, but as soon as they arrived at the airport, they found many reporters waiting for their crew.
Seeing South Grant, Rosalind Sutton, Caleb Holt, and the crew coming over, all the reporters rushed towards them, and this time South Grant was the focus of the interviews.
The crew’s schedule was meant to be confidential; who leaked it?
