Chapter 378: Chapter 377: Egg Yolks Smashed All Over My Pants
South Grant looked at the tiger under the tree, which refused to leave, still trying various ways to get her down.
South Grant could only wait; she just didn’t believe that Langston Caldwell would really leave her there alone.
The fact proved that South Grant was too naive.
Langston Caldwell really left her there alone.
South Grant waited in the tree for a whole night, during which she was sleepy and hungry, but she didn’t dare to close her eyes, for fear of falling from the tree.
After waiting for a whole night, there was no sign of Langston Caldwell at all.
South Grant was furious.
But it was useless no matter how angry she got.
Even if she wanted to strangle Langston Caldwell now, she’d have to wait until she got back first.
She wanted to go back, but the huge creature under the tree wouldn’t let her.
"Master Tiger, Master Tiger, can you skip a meal first? I’ll bring you a cow later, alright?"
"Please spare me, my meat isn’t tasty at all, tall and bony, not much flesh on my chest."
"Is your master Nathan Foster? What a coincidence, I’m also Nathan Foster’s."
"If you eat me, what will your master eat?"
"Master Tiger, how about this? Wait for your master to come and ask him. If he doesn’t eat me, then you can have a bite, alright?"
The tiger responded with a roar, not friendly at all.
South Grant felt like dying; it seemed negotiating with the tiger was a dead end too.
Watching the tiger just waiting under the tree, South Grant felt desperate.
She looked at the trees around; they weren’t far apart. South Grant glanced down the mountain direction, where the trees were denser.
The tiger ruled on the ground but couldn’t climb trees. South Grant thought about it, then shakily stood up, maintaining her balance, and moved along the branch before jumping to another tree.
When she landed on the other tree trunk, her foot slipped, almost falling, but managed to grab the trunk, hanging on it.
She slowly moved forward, continuing to jump to the next tree.
The tiger just followed below her, waiting for her to fall to become its dinner.
A whole day passed, and South Grant didn’t know how she survived one day and night.
When the sun set and the moon rose again, South Grant faintly saw the direction of the villa.
Her phone was lost when the tiger chased her, unable to call for help now.
If she jumped further, those trees were thinner, unable to support South Grant jumping over.
South Grant was at a loss, and at that moment, she looked at the tiger lying under the tree. It wagged its tail, then looked up at South Grant, baring its teeth in a menacing manner.
Then, to South Grant’s astonishment, the tiger turned and ran in another direction.
Did it leave?
Or was it setting a trap for her, waiting for her to come down and then return?
South Grant observed from the tree for a long time, confirming that the tiger wouldn’t really come back, then slowly climbed down and found the nearest path to quickly head back.
From afar, South Grant saw the villa lights on, got closer, and heard music and smelled the aroma of meat.
Since leaving at noon yesterday, it was now evening. She hadn’t eaten or drunk for two days and one night, terrified, using all her strength to escape the tiger’s clutches.
Seeing the scene, South Grant was furious, walked to the villa door, and kicked it open.
"Langston Caldwell, today if I don’t beat you to a pulp, I won’t be called South Grant!"
