Chapter 379: Chapter 378: The Gift from Your Uncle

South Grant kicked the door open with great force, just stepping one foot inside, when he saw Langston Caldwell sitting on the sofa, engrossed in watching TV.

And by his feet, there lay a big orange "cat" prone.

This big cat was the very culprit that kept her stuck in a tree for an entire day and night.

At that moment, because of South Grant’s door-kicking action, the big cat was alarmed. It stood up energetically, looking at South Grant in the doorway, still baring its teeth with a menacing demeanor.

"Roar..."

With the sound of her roar, South Grant was so frightened that he pulled his foot back, slamming the living room door shut.

Just as South Grant hadn’t gathered his wits, the living room door opened again, and the big cat leapt out, leaving South Grant nowhere to hide. It pinned him directly to the ground.

Fear made South Grant reach out to struggle, and the tiger opened its gaping maw, approaching South Grant.

Just when only one thought was left in South Grant’s mind, thinking she was becoming the tiger’s dinner, the tiger closed its mouth and, after sniffing her face a few times, disdainfully released her.

Its look seemed to say: Pah, unwashed human.

At this time, Langston followed the tiger out, standing at the doorway looking down at South Grant.

"Chrysanthemum Terrace covered in frost, egg yolk shattered a pair of pants, pretty sassy words there, did you learn that from your uncle?"

South Grant was in no mood to deal with him. She was now exhausted, thirsty, and hungry, wishing she could strangle Langston.

"If you don’t give me a reasonable explanation, you’re dead today!" South Grant gritted her teeth and said.

Langston, at this time, folded his arms and leaned against the doorway, still looking down at South Grant on the ground.

"I need to understand your physical limits in order to train you. All of your previous experiences were my tests. You did well, managing to escape from its jaws and make it back here, which makes you worth my full-fledged teachings."

South Grant couldn’t help but curse inwardly. So, she suffered for an entire day and night, all as part of Langston’s test!

"You’re testing me with my life on the line; why do you have to do it this way?"

"This kind of test is naturally incomparable to others. Only at the brink of life and death can one unleash their greatest potential. Based on that potential, I can tailor your training intensity, which is what people commonly refer to as personalized teaching."

"Teach yourself! I think you’re just settling a personal score!" South Grant was almost exploding with anger.

"I don’t have a sister; feel free to curse," Langston said nonchalantly, watching South Grant still furious, Langston simply pinned the blame elsewhere, "Your uncle taught me this idea, it’s not my fault."

"I don’t believe it," South Grant couldn’t buy it at all.

"The tiger is his, the place was his finding, and the method was his teachings. If you don’t believe me, you can message him," Langston firmly refused to take the fall for this.

South Grant recalled what Nathan Foster told her earlier, that he wouldn’t personally train her because he was afraid of being too harsh.

Could this method really have been taught by him? Otherwise, why would he say he couldn’t be harsh?

As South Grant was pondering, Langston crouched down, patted the tiger’s head, and then said to South Grant:

"Your uncle told me when he left that if you could complete this test, he’d give you a gift. How about it, do you like it?"
