Chapter 378: Total Mobilization
"Uurgh."
The man passed out. One by one, the legion soldiers who had infiltrated the enemy camp as prisoners pulled the slime mucus orbs containing Scar Theologies, the Monster Balls, from their bellies and tore them open.
Wriggle, wriggle.
The Scar Theologies squirmed on the women’s hands as if crying out in hunger. The women stroked the phallic bugs like adorable little pets, calming them down.
"There, there, good boy. It’s time for you to leave mommy’s belly. Go find a new person and make yourself at home."
"You weren’t even pregnant, Sis."
"Cute... I think?"
Opinions varied from person to person, but every single woman who had come in here had entered with Scar Theologies inserted both front and back.
The ones in the back were the originals assigned to them. The ones in the front were an offspring generation bred and mass-produced by the legion. They were Scar Theologies born outside the dungeon by a select group of human adventurers, unregistered to the dungeon.
Boom ba-boom boom!
Drumbeats rolled in on the night wind from far away. Everyone stiffened at the unexpected situation, but fortunately, the man who had snuck in was subdued quickly. And he made for a fine test subject.
Shudder.
The unconscious man’s body began to tremble. Even without awareness, he started reacting violently to the movements of the Scar Theology that had settled into his rectum and begun thrashing around in earnest.
"Alright then, everyone ready again?"
Riiip.
The women slightly tore open the mouths of the orbs in their hands. Then, as if throwing shot puts, they aimed the torn orbs toward the other side of the fence.
"Everyone say what Master told us to! One, two, three..."
Very quietly. The women whispered so no one could hear and tossed the balls over the fence.
"""Scar Theology, I choose you."""
Thud. Thud thud.
The Scar Theologies that oozed out of the balls as they hit the ground began wriggling along the surface, one by one, searching for new hosts.

[At that moment, the subjugation force’s command tent.]
"To get all these people to the Leo Marquisate, we’d have to pass through the gorge..."
Levis Ann spread out a map and began planning the retreat route. Factoring in the possibility that the monsters might charge out of the castle in pursuit, she devised the safest possible evacuation route.
"A safe retreat is the answer."
This wasn’t running away. It was merely one step back for the two steps forward of reclaiming the barony and subjugating the dungeon. Letting the enemy savor the taste of victory, even briefly, was undeniably galling, but reality wasn’t so forgiving.
"If we’d had even one Holy Sword hero, we could’ve swept them all away... tch."
Levis Ann clutched her hair in frustration. If she had been the one chosen by a holy sword, that insolent orc’s head would have gone flying clean off.
"We never found the holy sword of Virgo’s domain, and now there’s been a misunderstanding with the elves... Damn it, how am I going to explain this to the Saintess?"
Levis Ann buried her face in the desk. What weighed on her most was none other than the elves, and the elf who wielded divine power in particular.
"Do the elves have their own Saintess...? Has the Goddess turned Her gaze upon the elves now? After all this time?"
Levis Ann searched her memory. Ever since the all-female elves had decided to hole up in their forest, the number of elves scattered across the continent hadn’t exceeded four digits. Even the elves guarding the divine tree numbered only about 300...
"...How many was it again? It was so long ago I can’t remember."
Levis Ann scratched her head and stood up. Regardless, the elves had become enemies of humanity.
Whether her people had truly encroached on elven territory, or whether the Elf Queen had actually been raped by orcs and turned into their slave, the fact remained that elves, and the largest elven population on the continent at that, had joined the Demon King’s Army. It was an enormous problem.
"I miss the Saintess... haah. She’d solve this in no time."
Levis Ann had never seen anyone as brilliant as the Saintess when it came to political matters. She thought of the Saintess for a moment, then rose to her feet.
"Commander? Where are you going?"
"Just out for a walk."
"Pardon? Understood. I’ll accompa..."
"Are you that clueless? Do I have to say I’m going to pick flowers before you get it? Tsk tsk."
Levis Ann shooed away the priest who tried to follow and slipped into a latrine enclosure a short distance away.
"Phew, really... the facilities are so wretched."
She plugged her nose and pulled down her pants. The ceiling was wide open to the sky, making it the perfect place to gaze up at the night sky and ease her worries, even if only for a moment.
Rustle, rustle.
"...Lots of bugs too."
Some bugs were as useless as the rest of them, but in truth, the field was crawling with night insects. The bugs were what stressed the refugees out the most, and there was no way to control every last insect that wasn’t even a monster.
"Phew...."
The tension drained from her entire body. When you fight wars often enough, there are plenty of times you can’t even take care of your bodily needs properly. That kind of thing builds up, becomes stress, and naturally, you need to let it out eventually.
"...Ugh, am I blocked up again?"
Levis Ann hung her head. With the enemy camp right before her eyes, her instincts had her body so tense that she couldn’t even handle basic bodily functions.
"If only it just vanished like divine power when you use it...."
She found a measure of calm with a sigh. No matter how much the enemy infuriated her, as long as she retreated safely to the Leo Marquisate, she could pay them back many times over with far more vicious tactics.
"...Heh heh."
Thinking about revenge, the tension began to ease. The scales that had risen from the use of her power settled back down, and now she was about to do what every human had to do...
Bzzt. Skitter, skitter.
"...They’re not even monsters, so I can’t purge them with divine power. Ugh, this is why I hate the field."
Levis Ann got goosebumps at the bugs loitering near the fence. Especially that one with the distinctly reddish tint...
"...A dick?"
The thick, long, cylindrical red bug had a head that resembled a phallus. Confronted with a bug she had never seen in her life, Levis Ann hastily channeled divine power into her hand. It was pure instinct.
"A monster..."
Screech!
"N, no way?!"
The bug crawling on the wall leapt at her. With speed faster than light, Levis Ann’s hand shot down toward her groin. The bug, struck by the divine power in her hand, fell to the ground and disintegrated on the spot.
"What in the... eek?!"
Levis Ann’s skin crawled at the cold sensation on her backside. A burning feeling began to flare around her rear. It felt as though her hole was being torn apart.
"Ngh, wh, what is...?!"
It was practically the same as being torn open. The moment she looked behind her to see what on earth it was...
"Eek?!"
At least ten bugs were clinging to the fence, wriggling. The bugs, mere insects, had sacrificed one of their own as a decoy and latched onto Levis Ann’s body.
"N, no!!"
Holy Knight Commander or not, a woman was still a woman. Having bugs crawl inside your body would repulse any human, but the fact that they were shaped like phalluses made it all the more revolting for Levis Ann.
Yet revulsion alone wasn’t going to pry the bugs already on her body loose.
The bug drove its pointed head inward, trying to penetrate into her bowels. Having a bug enter her body was horrifying enough, but the sensation of it pushing its way up against the walls of her rectum nearly made Levis Ann faint.
"Ngh, aaah!"
She hastily began releasing divine power from her entire body. The monsters that had crawled across the ground to her feet touched the silver blessing and crumbled to ash.
But the monster, the Scar Theology, had already made it inside Levis Ann’s rectum. With an unidentified creature now occupying a space meant for expulsion, she was on the verge of losing her mind.
"Krrgh...!"
With tears in her eyes, Levis Ann channeled divine power into her fingers. Unless divine power could be discharged inside her own body, there was no option but to deal with it by hand.
Wriggle, wriggle.
But the Scar Theology was faster. Having penetrated into her rectum, it began scratching at the intestinal walls and swimming upward like a fish in water. And the sensation of the Scar Theology squirming back and forth was almost like...
"Ahh...!"
Levis Ann shot up from her seat and braced herself against the wall. Her backside began burning as though it had become an erogenous zone, and the thing wriggling inside her back and forth felt as if she were being penetrated.
"H, how did they get these kinds of monsters in...!"
There had been no hostile intent to detect. So how had they infiltrated these monsters without even triggering her senses? The realization that even she had been caught horrified Levis Ann. She pulled up her pants and bolted out.
"Oh...."
She broke out in goosebumps at the sight of the soldiers sprawled face-down on the ground. The subjugation force’s soldiers, men and women alike, were on all fours, writhing in agony like four-legged beasts.
"Shit... seriously."
Levis Ann covered her face with both hands.
"I wanna go home...."
She wept in silence.
***
"Master, a report from the Death Knights. Reactions are appearing in the enemy camp. It seems the Scar Theologies infiltrated successfully."
"Hahaha! Thank god, what a relief!!"
The tension that had been keeping every part of me stiff as a board melted away so fast I thought I might go limp on the spot. It had been a Trojan Horse operation, perilous in the extreme, but it seemed to have succeeded somehow.
"This is a battle where we mobilize every last unit in the legion. We drafted even the ones who were laying eggs, so there’s no reason the septic tank workers should get a pass."
The Scar Theology offspring that Gremory had birthed.
It was unpleasant, but I had even drafted those lewd bugs, specialized as they were in dungeon operations and sewage treatment, for this war.
Encase a Scar Theology in slime mucus and let it harden.
The women carry them in their bellies and infiltrate the enemy camp.
At the right moment, they toss them in all directions. The shells crack, and the Scar Theologies inside begin moving toward new hosts.
And since the enemies are humans, not elves, there will inevitably come a time when they "have to go."
The Scar Theologies will hide in the darkness and burrow into enemy soldiers’ bodies with ghostly precision.
"No one can fight properly with a wriggling bug squirming around in their gut. Heh heh."
The exact numbers were unknown. But the Death Knights who had gone out on the last kidnapping run snatched far more humans than before, and they clearly witnessed a commotion breaking out among the enemy soldiers.
"So does that mean the people with Scar Theologies inside them will die?"
"Hm? Die? What are you talking about?"
"Like, they explode inside them... or eat away at the body from within. Wouldn’t that be the idea?"
"...Unfortunately, they can’t do anything that extreme."
Just as pigs that roll in filth are actually cleaner animals than you’d think, Scar Theologies were parasitic in nature but weren’t cruel enough to hijack a host’s brain and puppet them around.
A Scar Theology had exactly two functions.
Cleaning out waste from the rectum.
And secreting fluids to transform the rectum into a sexual organ.
The former was their original purpose, but thanks to the latter, the humans in our legion enjoyed a pleasant lifestyle without needing any special cleansing or maintenance. While a Scar Theology turned its host’s rectum into an erogenous zone, the host would be writhing in pleasure.
"Going head-to-head in a straight-up slugfest is foolish. Deploying every possible means and method to whittle down the enemy’s strength before fighting; that’s what a truly wise battle looks like."
The tactical versatility born from leveraging each monster species’ unique abilities was our legion’s greatest asset. We had thrown every prepared operation we could at the subjugation force. From this point forward, it was time to make the final call.
"And now that we’ve weakened the enemy as much as possible... it’s finally time for us to hit them with everything we’ve got."
Whoosh.
Sparks flew between the walls. The legion’s soldiers, torches in hand, gathered in one place regardless of species, united to bring the enemy down. I turned to face them.
"First, let me say I’m sorry."
I opened with an apology.
"Some of you will die. The enemy is strong, and I’ll have to man-mark that lunatic myself, so I won’t be able to help you. When it comes to the enemies in front of you, you’ll have to fight and survive on your own."
Thud!
I raised my seax high. The orcs raised their melee weapons, the elves their bows, the Andras their claws, the harpies their talons, the dullahans their spears, the unicorns their horns. Every last unit gathered in Ras Vegas was mobilized.
"But I promise you this. Even if you die, I will bring you back. Here’s a bit of a joke for you: every one of you is three-star or below, so resurrections only cost lowest to mid-grade magic stones. Once the battle’s over, I’ll farm as many magic stones as I can from the sub-dungeon and put them all toward resurrections. So fight with everything you’ve got. After this battle... we will take the barony entirely into our hands."
No battle cry. No battle cry was needed. The time for cheering would come when every last enemy was subdued and victory was certain.
"Show them no mercy. Everyone who raises a blade against us, we kill."
The objective: total annihilation of the enemy.
"Advance."
