Chapter 60: 60: Taking Down The Boss Monster
This monster... no, calling it a monster would have been an insult to the monsters. This thing was an absolute menacing abomination that seemed to have been brought straight out of some horror movie.
While Reigns stood there scared out of his wits, the village warriors abruptly dropped to the ground one after another and began worshipping the massive abomination with trembling devotion.
Reigns stared at them with wide eyes, completely shocked by their courage to worship that thing even after seeing its horrifying appearance.
’Crap... are these people seriously doing this right now?’

Insane... this was absolutely insane and one of the most horrendous things Reigns had ever witnessed in his life—until he realized he had stepped into an even deeper shit.
The system voice did little to calm their hearts, but at least they no longer had to blind guess the situation anymore.

Reigns hadn’t even finished his words when he saw the abomination swat its massive hand toward them.

A huge cloud of dark dust exploded into the air as Nyxara wrapped an arm around Reigns’ waist and leapt away at the last second.
"That thing was extending way too much and making the space cramped," Nyxara replied while leaping around across the battlefield as the massive creature continued attacking them without break.
Reigns focused his gaze on the abomination and felt horror crawl down his spine after seeing its level.

"Nyx, drop me somewhere so that you can fight properly. But before that..."
He paused and quickly activated his Arcane Arts.
His first goal was to check the village warriors.
There was no way he was going to let them distract Nyx while she was fighting the creature. However, it seemed his concern was unnecessary because they were already sprawled across the ground, worshipping without even daring to lift their heads.
Now that was some next-level blind fanaticism.
Reigns quickly searched for the Lv15 guards and asked Nyxara to throw him toward them.
Without hesitation, Nyxara grabbed him tightly before somersaulting high through the air in one swift motion. She then hurled him forward like a cannonball.

The moment the Shadow Guise shattered apart, the boost attack activated instantly.
Lightning crackled around his body as electric sparks flashed wildly across his skin. He spun midair before landing heavily onto the ground with a thunderous impact.
A shockwave filled with electric arcs spread several meters around him and struck the frozen Lv15 guards directly, who were already half-dead from the cold.
The four men groaned and screamed in fear as the stun effect instantly paralyzed their bodies.
Using that as an opportunity, Reigns shot forward without hesitation and hacked through all four of them in one swift motion.

Sharp notification chimes echoed continuously inside his head while the bodies of the dead guards slowly dispersed into layers of glowing mist.
Then, in the very next instant, the scattered particles gathered once more and began reforming around him.
The guards who had died respawned in the very next instant, and the moment they reappeared, they screamed in shock.
"What’s going on?!"
"Why were we killed?!"
The four men quickly stumbled backward while breathing heavily, their eyes filled with panic and confusion as they looked around.
Soon, they noticed the group of villagers kneeling in the distance, worshipping something near the giant hole.
At the same time, a bluish trail of light flashed repeatedly across the battlefield as someone fought fiercely against the massive abomination.
The guards stared blankly at the terrifying scene for several moments. They looked dazed, lost, and utterly confused about everything that had just happened.
Reigns did not interrupt them. He simply stood there quietly, allowing them to sort out their thoughts on their own. At the same time, he kept a tight grip on the scythe in his hand, keeping a close eye on them.

The four guards paused for a moment after hearing him. They first stared at Reigns with complicated expressions before slowly turning their heads toward the giant abomination fighting Nyxara.
Their faces instantly stiffened once they saw the horrifying creature.

A massive shockwave exploded across the battlefield as Nyxara collided head-on with the giant abomination once again.
The ground of tangled vines cracked violently beneath them while dirt and broken splinters of wood blasted everywhere around the battlefield. The huge creature released a horrifying screech that sounded like countless people crying together at the same time.
Nyxara narrowed her eyes and quickly twisted her body midair, narrowly avoiding a giant fleshy arm that smashed into the ground.
