Chapter 1903: Chapter 1903: Magic Apostle (24)

Chuzheng’s eyes narrowed slightly, and the Night Color hid half of her face in shadow: "What are you doing here?"

"Just passing by." The boy answered quite obediently: "Besides, what does it matter to you where I am?"

"It will matter in the future." Chuzheng muttered.

"What did you say?" The boy didn’t catch it and asked again.

"Nothing."

Chuzheng turned her head and walked forward, pondering whether to seize the opportunity to abduct the person.

Chuzheng heard the noise of someone getting off the carriage behind her, followed by the boy catching up in a few steps to walk alongside her.

Chuzheng noticed that the boy was draped in a sleeved cloak, matching the patterns inside, exuding an air of refined elegance.

"You haven’t cleaned my Colosseum yet."

"I gifted you a dragon, can’t that settle it?" In the middle of the night, you bring this up? Does it make sense? Do I look like someone who would help you clean the Colosseum?

"...Fine." In view of that dragon, the boy compromised: "Where are you headed?"

"I don’t know."

Chuzheng sensed the boy didn’t follow, turned her head, and found him returning to the carriage. He ordered the Coachman to drive away swiftly,

Chuzheng: "??"

What does that mean?

-

The next day.

The collapse of a building in the Charles Manor was a widespread topic.

Chuzheng, the culprit, was considered part of the Charles Family, and for Charles to ardently pursue her would be broadcasting family scandals.

Charles was a man with a sense of honor.

Thus, he concocted a ridiculous excuse for this incident—believe it or not.

At that time, Chuzheng was buying her future residence.

After completing all the procedures, Chuzheng moved in with a Butlers and servants included.

Chuzheng didn’t have specific demands, as long as it saved her from trouble.

Chuzheng went to the academy a day later, as no Archmages cared if she attended or not, given her lack of Magic prowess.

Upon entering the academy, Chuzheng was met with pointing and gawking.

"Is it her?"

"Yeah, it’s her."

"I heard she’s the child brought by Elsa’s stepmother, so isn’t Charles her stepfather? How is she competing with Lord Charles?"

"Who knows."

"By that standard, she’s wealthy."

"..."

There were more attendees at the Colosseum that night than those seated behind her, several families went collectively.

Chuzheng’s act of spending three hundred million to auction a dragon was now known throughout the school.

Chuzheng: "..."

A big shot has seen it all, just business as usual.

Under numerous gazes, Chuzheng walked to the classroom with the composure of a leader on patrol.

By the time she reached the classroom, Elsa was already there, conversing with someone.

Upon making eye contact, Elsa instinctively wanted to stand up but halted after two steps.

"What’s up with Elsa?" A companion asked curiously.

"Nothing..."

Elsa shot Chuzheng a resentful glare.

"Is your family really okay?"

"I heard it made a big noise."

The topic shifted again to Elsa’s house collapse. Frustrated, Elsa found an excuse not to converse further.

Chuzheng had no interest in listening and directly slept at the back during class.

Before class ended, an Archmage restrained the eager-to-leave students and announced: "In three days, the academy will organize a visit to the Pingyang Ruins. Everyone prepare accordingly."

Chuzheng changed her posture from resting her arm to supporting her chin.

What is the Pingyang Ruins?

Chuzheng scanned the classroom, observing many students lively discussing despite the Archmage talking at the podium.

"No classes, it’s wonderful."

"This trip to the Pingyang Ruins won’t return until five or six days, have you decided what to bring?"

Chuzheng: "..."

No matter where, the prospect of no classes and outdoor activities was always thrilling for students.

Chuzheng waited until the classroom was mostly empty before leisurely walking out.

"Xue Laiya."

Alice stood outside holding a book, hesitantly calling her.

"What’s up?"

"No... nothing, just wondered if you’d like to have a meal together? Is... is that okay?"

"Oh."

Chuzheng neither agreed nor refused, heading downstairs straightforwardly.

Alice hurried to keep up, dining in the cafeteria where Alice took initiative in handling the meal arrangements.

Chuzheng enjoyed the leisure and let Alice handle it.

"Did your Archmages mention the Pingyang Ruins?" Alice asked halfway through the meal.

"Yes." The original memory lacked details, she paused: "Where is the Pingyang Ruins?"

"Huh?" Alice was stunned: "You... you don’t know?"

Chuzheng tapped the bowl with decorum: "Explain."

The Pingyang Ruins were discovered over a decade ago but previously closed off.

They only recently opened but exclusively to major powers, with the academy securing slots for student visits.

"I heard it’s a ruin left by a Saint Archmage."

"Saint Archmage?"

"Yes." Alice nodded: "But it’s just hearsay, not sure if true."

Saint Archmages were rare from ancient times to today.

If genuinely a Saint Archmage, they’d be immortalized in history, revered by descendants.

Such visits are akin to touring historical sites; however, if fortunate, understanding remnants might yield insights.

It hinges entirely on talent and luck.

-

After school, Chuzheng noticed people waiting outside, presumably sent by Charles to capture her.

Chuzheng fearlessly exited through the main gate, boarding a carriage right before them.

Yet, when the group caught up, there was no one inside the carriage. Even the Coachman had vanished.

"We clearly saw her get in, how is she missing?"

"The lord said she couldn’t use Magic..."

"Did she use a Magic Scroll?"

"Are you looking for me?"

The girl’s crisp voice rang from behind, causing several heads to turn swiftly.

Chuzheng leaned against a wall, arms crossed, watching them.

They exchanged glances briefly until one commanded: "Get her!"

"Hey."

Chuzheng sighed, flexing her wrists as she straightened up.

They practically delivered themselves.

I’m determined to be a good person!

Forced into it!

[...]

-

Chuzheng brushed off the dust accidentally settled on her, expressionless, as she boarded the carriage: "Let’s go back."

The Coachman emerged from somewhere, deftly hopped up, and drove away.

Not long after Chuzheng had left, two figures stepped out from the shadows.

The boy toyed with a Gold Coin, strolling to where Chuzheng was earlier, examining the ground: "Wuno, did you see just now?"

"Yes." Wuno respectfully stood behind.

The boy rested one hand on his chin, intrigued: "What Magic did she use?"

"..." Wuno had no clue.

He didn’t sense the girl using any Magic.

The boy’s delicate foot lightly kicked the ground, stirring some dust. After a moment, he chuckled softly: "A kitten with claws is indeed fierce. Wuno, don’t you think?"

"..."

If you say so, then perhaps.

I’m a wooden puppet, without emotion.
