Chapter 802: Chapter 17: Death as Leverage_3

"Alright, I’m throwing in the towel. I, Kigg, have never done anything wrong in my life, so how did I end up with you, a Little Witch like you?" 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Xuan Yue pretended to be surprised, "Eh, how do you know my nickname from the church? Do you know me?"

Kigg gave a wry smile, "How could I know you? I’d be lucky if I could never know you. You guys rest up, I won’t disturb you anymore." After saying this, he turned and left the room. He didn’t dare to stay there any longer, God knows what else Xuan Yue might come up with. Kigg deeply knew that harboring Xuan Yue was like hiding a bomb that could explode at any time.

Seeing the expression on Kigg’s face as he left, Xuan Yue laughed happily. Playing jokes on people had always been her favorite thing to do. "Ouch," she laughed, and the movement pulled at her abdominal wound, causing her to cry out in pain.

Ah Dai was startled, "Yue Yue, what’s wrong with you? How could you really try to commit suicide just now?"

Xuan Yue snorted coldly, "It was because you angered me. I heard everything just now, you promised not to leave me and to keep being my sidekick. You’re not regretting it now, are you?"

Ah Dai nodded, "Yeah, I won’t leave you. But you can’t waste food anymore."

Remembering what Ah Dai had said earlier, Xuan Yue asked, "Is Steamed Bun really that important to you?"

Ah Dai sighed and nodded lightly, "First, let’s get you bandaged up. It would be bad if the wound got worse." Saying this, he started to undo Xuan Yue’s skirt. In Ah Dai’s mind, there was no concept of gender differences; he just wanted to check how serious Xuan Yue’s injuries were.

Although Xuan Yue was only fifteen, girls tend to mature earlier, and she blushed, pushing away Ah Dai’s hand, and scolded, "What are you doing? Stop it, get out, I can do it myself."

Ah Dai was taken aback, "Are you sure you can manage? It might be better if I help you."

Xuan Yue’s little face turned as red as an apple, "You, you, get out. How can you just look at a girl’s body like that? I can handle it."

Ah Dai scratched his head, clearly not understanding what she meant, and muttered, "But I’ve bandaged Xiao Mei when she was hurt! I see her body every day."

Xuan Yue was stunned, "Who’s Xiao Mei?"

Ah Dai said, "Xiao Mei is Uncle Xi Er’s puppy! She’s a little girl too, and she’s so naughty, always getting hurt."

Xuan Yue nearly died of anger at Ah Dai, who dared to compare her to a puppy. She threw a Light Bullet at him and shouted furiously, "Get the hell out!"

Ah Dai was startled and erupted with True Qi in defense, counteracting the Light Bullet’s attack. Xuan Yue was injured, and he didn’t dare to provoke this little lady anymore. He hurriedly ran out.

Watching Ah Dai close the door, Xuan Yue finally breathed a sigh of relief, touched her now hot and flushed face, and muttered to herself, "No wonder he’s called Ah Dai, he’s so stupid."

Xuan Yue knew her own condition well and carefully started to remove her clothes. Just as she had opened the outer layer, Ah Dai suddenly popped his head in, "If you can’t do it yourself, just call me."

Xuan Yue was hugely embarrassed, quickly covered herself up, and snapped angrily, "Get out! Don’t look! Or else, I’ll die again."

Ah Dai got startled once again and quickly closed the door. For some reason, he thought that Xuan Yue looked prettier when she blushed than when she was angry. Leaning against the wall outside, Ah Dai thought about Xuan Yue’s suicidal expression and felt a surge of fear. He took out the Steamed Bun that Xuan Yue had thrown away and started eating it.

Before he finished the Steamed Bun, Xuan Yue’s voice called from inside the room, "Ah Dai, you can come in now."

Ah Dai responded and pushed the door open. Xuan Yue looked much better, her Magic Robe lying beside her, as she lay under the covers with her big eyes staring at him.

"Yue Yue, are your injuries feeling any better? Are they serious?" Ah Dai asked with concern.

Xuan Yue replied irritably, "I’m not going to die. Come over here."

Ah Dai walked over to Xuan Yue’s side, "Yue Yue, don’t be so rash next time, getting stabbed hurts a lot!" While saying this, he grabbed Xuan Yue’s small hand. Xuan Yue struggled briefly but didn’t break free. Just as she was about to lose her temper, a warm flow of energy came from Ah Dai’s hand, nourishing the meridians in her body. With a blush, she understood Ah Dai’s intentions and said no more.

Ah Dai circulated the Life True Qi within his body, checking Xuan Yue’s meridians. Xuan Yue’s wounds had already been healed by her Healing Spell, so of course, Ah Dai couldn’t find anything. He breathed a sigh of relief and said, "It’s really nothing then, Yue Yue, how did you heal?"

Xuan Yue, looking at Ah Dai’s concerned eyes, felt a warmth in her heart and grew fonder of this silly boy. "I’m not telling you. I’m fine now; don’t you feel terrible? Swear an oath now."

"I’m too happy that you’re alright, why would I feel terrible? Swear an oath? What oath?"

Xuan Yue said, "You swear to be my sidekick for a year! Otherwise, what if you regret it again?"

Ah Dai lowered his head, "I, but I..." Gathering his courage, Ah Dai raised his head, "Could you tell me how to swear the oath?"

Seeing Ah Dai’s silly look, Xuan Yue let out a giggle and said, "Just swear on your Steamed Bun then, since it’s the most important thing to you, right? Follow my lead, I, XX, swear, from today on, to be Miss Xuan Yue’s sidekick for one year, and not to leave on my own accord. If I break this oath, may I never taste a delicious Steamed Bun again."
