Chapter 67: Chapter 17 Holding Death Hostage_5

As the doors opened, Harry returned. He only glanced at Kigg before bowing and stepping aside, his face a picture of reverence as he announced, "The Red Bishop has arrived."

Kigg trembled and exchanged a glance with Ah Dai. The other magicians hurried to gather behind Kigg, their faces displaying their utter confusion. Though they were greatly respected in their town, they dared not act arrogantly in front of one of the four most significant Red Bishops of the Holy Church.

A line of silver figures entered, their light armor gleaming. They were the Silver Armored Warriors that Xuan Yue had described. Each carried a helmet in its left hand with a look of impassivity on their faces. As soon as they entered, they split up to stand on either side of the room. Their silver armor radiated a faint fighting aura, and a golden sword emblem marked each one’s chest.

As soon as the Silver Armored Warriors were stationed, two white figures floated in. Compared to Harry, they emanated a much more potent sacred aura. Their bodies were entirely obscured beneath wide, white, embroidered gold-edged ritual robes. One could tell from the graceful figure beneath the robe on the left that it must be a woman. Both held wooden magic wands, from which transparent, spherical gemstones emitted soft white light. An intense sacred aura filled the hall as soon as they stepped inside.

Under the enveloping sacred aura, Ah Dai felt a chill in his chest as if the malevolence of the Sword of Hades was about to erupt. Startled, he quickly channeled his True Qi to suppress the wicked intent of the Sword of Hades. A faint white glow emanated from Ah Dai, drawing the attention of the female White Robe Priest. In her clear blue eyes, he found a gentle gaze that put him at ease and seemed to relax his whole body.

A towering red figure entered last. Like the others, he wore a ritual robe, only in bright red with gold trim. A gigantic hexagram was embroidered over the chest of his red robe. The sacred aura of the two white robed priests intensified the moment the Red Robe Priest stepped inside. The two priests stepped aside, allowing the Red Robe Priest to advance slowly to the center of the hall, his arms tucked into his sleeves. As he slowly raised his head, his eyes flashed chillingly from beneath his ritual robe. The magicians, including Ah Dai, all had the unsettling feeling of being seen through completely.

"Who is in charge here?" A deep, magnetically attractive voice resonated from the red robe.

Kigg shuddered and stepped forward, hesitantly saying, "Greetings, revered Red Bishop. I am the local branch President."

The Red Bishop accorded him a slight nod, "God bless you, Mr. President. I can sense my daughter’s presence nearby. If I’m not mistaken, she’s here with you, is she not?"

Kigg had no way of hiding anything from the overwhelming divine power of the Red Bishop. After but a moment’s hesitation, he nodded slightly.

Ah Dai was taken aback but then figured that these people were not going to harm Xuan Yue, so everything should be fine. His inner turmoil did not go unnoticed by the Red Robe Priest, who turned towards him and said, "Impressive, true sacred fighting aura. Quite an achievement for one so young. A Fire Mage who knows sacred fighting aura, interesting. You would know where my daughter is, wouldn’t you? Take me to her." The Red Bishop’s tone was slow but held a commanding authority that brooked no argument.
