Chapter 68: Chapter 18 Red Bishop_1

Ah Dai wanted to refuse, but suddenly found himself unable to move – not because he was uncomfortable, but due to the imposing pressure caused by the immense divine energy. His mind began to blur as he unwittingly walked towards Xuan Yue’s room. The Red Bishop was silent and didn’t pay attention to Kigg’s trembling body. Along with two white-robed priests, under the guard of silver-armored warriors, they moved slowly behind Ah Dai. Only when they reached the door did Ah Dai snap back to reality. He spun around and looked at the Red Robe Priest in shock, "What... what did you do to me?"

The Red Bishop said calmly, "The divine has guided you. Open the door."

Ah Dai realised that at this point, Xuan Yue could not hide any longer. Helplessly, he opened the door. Unexpectedly, the room was empty; apart from the slightly messy bedding, the only thing on the bed was the blood-stained white magician robe.

The Red Robe Priest didn’t seem surprised; he simply sighed and said, "That girl, she’s becoming naughtier day by day. Ah..."

The female White Robe Priest hurried over to the bed, grabbed the bloody mage robe, and exclaimed, "Ah! Yue Yue really is hurt." Her voice was incredibly soft and pleasant, like a sound from the fairylands. Even in her panic, her alluring charm was undiminished.

The Red Bishop said, "Nasha, don’t worry. Yue Yue will be fine. Let’s go ahead first."

The White Robe Priest stormed over to the Red Bishop, lifted her cloak, and shouted, "She is my daughter! Can’t I worry? You have great divine powers, right? Go find Yue Yue quickly. If anything happens to her, I don’t want to live."

Ah Dai stood there, staring stupidly at the White Robe Priest. The cloak’s lift revealed her waterfall-like blue hair in front of everyone, her fair skin glowing slightly red, and her blue eyes – nearly identical to those of Xuan Yue’s – revealed a look of urgency. She appeared to be in her late twenties, with a stunning face that hinted a trace of sorrow, her brows creased slightly. She looked familiar. Ah! Xuan Yue looked almost exactly like her.

The Red Bishop gave an awkward cough as he replaced Nasha’s cloak himself, "I’ve calculated it before, Yue Yue will be fine. When you are outside, don’t be too reckless."

Nasha seemed to realize that she had overreacted slightly and bowed her head, remaining silent. Only, the hand that was clutching the mage robe was still shaking slightly.

The Red Bishop turned to Ah Dai, "Young man, let’s go to the front together. I have some questions for you."

Under the imposing aura of these people, Ah Dai couldn’t muster the will to resist and he had no choice but to follow them back to the rear hall. Kigg and the others were still standing in their original places, their faces paling instantly when they saw the returning team without Xuan Yue among them.

The Red Bishop walked up to Kigg and stopped in front of him, "Tell me everything about your encounter with my daughter."

Kigg bowed his head and said respectfully, "Yes, Bishop. This morning..." he didn’t dare to hide anything, averring in detail the whole process of how Xuan Yue came here, how she took the magic test, "... finally, Miss left with this young man. When they returned, Miss was injured." When the Red Bishop heard about Ah Dai’s Ring absorbing Xuan Yue’s magic power, he gave Ah Dai a glance. Ah Dai’s body shook, feeling as if a strong energy had struck him. That was the mental power of the Red Bishop.

The Red Bishop turned to Ah Dai and said lightly, "Tell me everything that happened outside, don’t miss a single detail."

Ah Dai was taken aback momentarily. Feeling the pressure on his body lessen considerably, he moved slightly and spoke, "Uncle, don’t worry, Yue Yue’s injury has healed already, she should be fine. She’s likely run away because she didn’t want to see you." For some reason, Ah Dai felt an intimate feeling for the beautiful White Robe Priest and respect for the Red Bishop, due to the divine aura radiating from him.

A Silver Armored Warrior shouted, "Bold! Who allowed you to speak to the Bishop in such a manner? And who allowed you to call the young lady by name?"

The Red Bishop said, "Let him continue. Young man, tell me everything you know. My daughter has been missing for days and I want to find her as soon as possible."

"Oh." Ah Dai nodded and then proceeded to talk about how Xuan Yue made him work as her servant, how she went along with him to the steamed bun restaurant to pay his debt, and how she got injured afterward.

The voice of the Red Bishop was chilly as he asked, "So, my daughter attempted suicide because she was mad at you?"

Ah Dai scratched his head, "That seems to be the case."

The Red Bishop heaved a sigh, shook his head slightly, and apologized, "My daughter can be quite willful. I apologize for the trouble she has caused you. Mr. Kigg, if you see her again, I hope you can detain her and inform the church in the city, okay?"

Kigg quickly agreed, "It would be my honor." 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

The Red Bishop looked at Ah Dai and said, "This matter was primarily due to the fault of my daughter, and as her father, I owe you an apology."

Ah Dai quickly said, "There’s no need to apologize. It’s also my fault. If I hadn’t gotten angry with her, she wouldn’t have been injured."
