Chapter 244: Chapter 54 Demon Summoning_2

Sida’s face was pale as he leaned into Ah Dai, slightly out of breath. "Thank you, young brother. If it wasn’t for you, I’d probably be dead at that bastard’s hands by now."

The old Water Element Magician shouted angrily, "These Assassin’s Guild have become too audacious, even daring to provoke us at the headquarters of the Mage Guild."

Simon also ran over, glancing at the assassin already dead, his face serious. He handed over a magic robe, a monthly allowance, and magic cards to Ah Dai and said, "Don’t get angry, everyone. I’ll report this to the Guild President." With that, he turned around and ran back.

Sida squatted down and tore off the hood from the assassin’s face. The dead assassin was rather ordinary-looking and wouldn’t be noticed in a crowd. His face had turned a purplish hue, and purple fresh blood continuously flowed from the wound on his neck, showing how potent the poison on the dagger was. He patted the assassin’s body and a small black metal plaque fell out with the word ’Stealth’ inscribed on it. Sida exclaimed, "It’s a Stealth Killer! But why would he want to kill me?"

A Mage looked at Ah Dai and asked, "Young brother, aren’t you part of our guild? Why did you use martial arts just now?"

Ah Dai scratched his head, saying, "My magic level isn’t high; I only know basic Fire System Magic. I joined the Mage Guild mainly to receive the monthly allowance to support my livelihood. I am a disciple of the Tian Gang Sword Sect, my primary focus now is martial arts."

Upon hearing Ah Dai say he was a disciple of the Tian Gang Sword Sect, the Mages immediately showed respect. Mages, due to their rarity on the continent, held a high status and generally looked down on Samurais. However, there was an exception in the Empire of Huasheng: The Tian Gang Sword Sect. This sect served as the national faction of the Empire of Huasheng, even the King of the Empire respectfully treated the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang. In the Empire of Huasheng, the status of the disciples of the Tian Gang Sword Sect was no less than that of the priests of the Holy Church. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Sida’s emotions had calmed down, "So you’re from the Tian Gang Sword Sect, no wonder you are so skilled. Let’s be friends, I, Sida, am at your service any time. Our Mage Guild has always had a good relationship with the Tian Gang Sword Sect." His haughty demeanor from earlier disappeared, and his cheerful words made Ah Dai feel warmly beholden.

Suddenly, a cold voice chimed in, "The Mage Guild is nothing special, nor is the mediocre skill of the Tian Gang Sword Sect. Today, you all shall die."

To everyone’s surprise, looking towards the entrance, around twenty assassins walked in. The five men who led them were all dressed in black magic robes. The guards at the entrance didn’t stop them, and there was no look of panic on his face.

The old Water Element Magician furrowed his eyebrows and asked, "Who are you people? Are you here to cause trouble in our Mage Guild?"

Two of the assassins stood guard at the entrance, blocking it while the others walked in. One of the black-robed Mages said coldly, "That’s right. We’re here to cause trouble, and to dismantle your Mage Guild. Attack!" Over a dozen assassins morphed into shadows, charging towards the Mages like bolts of lightning, not giving them a chance to chant any spells. They had previously sent an assassin as a scout, hoping to kill a few Mages present to weaken the Guild’s strength, but Ah Dai’s appearance had upset their plans. With a push from them, the intent to make a swift and devastating blow on the Mage Guild intensified.

Ah Dai was familiar with the weakness of Mages. He hurried to stand before the group, with tinges of yellow energy in his sword, and created a massive aura, preventing the attackers from charging forward.

The attackers were all skilled, launching their assault from different angles. The three assassins at the frontline crashed into Ah Dai’s arena, and with a loud crash, they flew back, suffering severe internal injuries. Ah Dai was afraid they would harm the Mages standing behind him so he used the energy sword in his hands to create a pale-yellow barrier. Shadows flickered under his flashing body, the broken blades fell to the ground one after another, but these assassins seemed to be armed with more than one weapon. They pulled out other weapons and continued to lurk in front of Ah Dai, looking for opportunities to attack.

Ah Dai stood firm like a mountain, the grand radiance of his silver body giving him peak energy. His pressure continually spread outward, detering his attackers, and they didn’t dare to move closer.

Then, two of the black-robed Mages to his left scattered a black fog, which wafted towards Ah Dai. Not knowing what Magic this was, he instantly got spooked and backed away. He struck the fog with his left palm emanating white light which was just enough to block the black fog’s progress. However, the vast energy contained in the fog gave him a significant pressure. He groaned and started shaking involuntarily. The attackers used this opportunity and charged. Ah Dai’s movements slowed quite a bit while defending against them, and the yellow energy sword in his hand seemed a bit dull. At this point, the Mages behind Ah Dai had completed their spells. Brilliant magic flew out from Ah Dai towards the black fog. But as soon as the dazzling magic entered the black fog, it disappeared as though it never existed, unable to shake the energy in the black fog. Now, all the pressure laid entirely on Ah Dai. The Mages of the Mage Guild had used level five elementary and intermediate attack magic for quick execution. Their magic was instantly neutralized under the level six Dark Magic Fog Soul Corrosion that countered their property.
