Chapter 403: Jackson Strikes

"Well, well, that is unexpected. Initially, I had planned to come looking for you guys one by one at night. But you just decided to save me a lot of time, by deciding to gather here." Jackson stated as his stood at the door, looking at the group of baffled members of the blood reapers syndicate.

Since he had already made a deal with Michael, and realized that Michael was not an ordinary person, Jackson had decided to go through with the plan.

Additionally, the method that Michael had used made him feel frightened. Even though he was not being controlled by Michael, but who could tell the future?

As long as he dealt with this group of people, and left no traces, it would be impossible for the organization to be able to find out that he took action within the capital city.

Furthermore, after an entire day of thinking, he had come to realization that he might as well comply. If there was a possibility that Michael had more power than that organization, then things could go well for him.

If he could associate himself with Michael, there was a possibility that he would no longer have to follow the contract, and not worry about the lives of his family.

Freedom, it had been such a long time since he had experienced it. So of course, he was yearning for it. If there was a chance for him to be able to get it, he would embrace it.

Of course, he was not blindly believing that Michael had an incredible background. It could as well be that he was just ignorant of what kind of force he was dealing with.

Something like that was quite normal, and quite a number of people had ended up suffering because of this. Hence, despite the fact that he was acting according to what Michael wanted, he was prepared.

He would make sure that no matter what happened, it would not be linked to him in the slightest.

Amos and the rest of the top level members of the syndicate looked at Jackson with confused expressions. That was especially for Amos, as he could not understand why Jackson came over.

The deal that they had made, it was just between the two of them. Nobody else knew about Jackson’s identity, and this was something that Jackson had personally requested for.

Because of this, Amos could not understand why Jackson came looking for him, especially that statement about everyone being here.

Was it possible that he wanted more benefits? At the thought of this, Amos’ expression shifted. Even though he understood that Jackson was extraordinary, he had plain weaknesses.

This guy, he was willing to do anything, including dying, just to make sure that his family remained safe. He did not have the ruthlessness of most of the mutants that he had encountered.

"Jackson, what is it? You could have contacted me in case there was something that you would like to talk about." Amos stood up as he addressed Jackson.

Even though he understood that he currently held a high position, he did not have any intention of pushing Jackson. Who could tell, maybe this guy might decide to abandon his family, and by then, without a leverage on him, the consequences could be brutal.

Because of this, even as he addressed Jackson, he talked to him as an equal, not a subordinate.

Unexpectedly, Jackson completely ignored Amos. Instead, he focused on the other people around the conference table, his expression shifting and becoming much colder than before.

At that exact moment, despite the fact that they could not understand what was going on, alarms went off in the minds of the group being stared at by Jackson.

None of the people in the room was a simple character. They had fought and killed quite a number of people, experienced life and death situations, and thereby, they were quite sensitive to the killing intent.

At this moment, as Jackson stared at them, they felt the killing intent in his gaze. Clearly, this guy did not come here with good intentions.

They had already previously heard the commotion outside the conference room. And looking outside through the open conference door, they could see some bodies lying on the ground.

While there was no blood, it was difficult to be able to tell if those people were currently alive or not.

Just as the group was gazing outside, Jackson noticed them. He revealed a smile, before he went ahead and closed the doors behind him.

This action immediately intensified the panic among the group, while others immediately prepared themselves to take action. Some of them had even taken out guns, prepared to use them if there was a need.

Jackson did not seem to be bothered in the slightest. Instead, after closing the door, he turned and looked at Amos for the first time since he entered.

"I should never have trusted you. From the looks of it, you really want my family to perish. Maybe, you intended to see me die, and then fail to fulfill your end of the agreement?" Jackson asked, this time, not hiding the killing intent in his eyes in the slightest.

At this moment, he really felt like strangling Amos. It was just that, he remembered Michael’s instruction. Michael asked him to kill the top member of the blood reapers syndicate, except Amos.

Clearly, Michael also had the intention of killing Amos. But that was to be expected, since Amos had sent him to kill Michael, showing that the grudge between them was one of life and death.

"What are you talking about? How did I want you to die? Additionally, I have already made arrangements for the agreement to be fulfilled. The money has already been withdrawn, and I was only waiting for you to complete your end of the deal, so that I could deliver the money." Amos was confused.

He just could not understand Jackson’s actions. The way that he acted, it was as if he and the people inside the conference room were his enemies.

Jackson looked at Amos, but did not bother to respond. Did he not know this guy? He was the type that like to offers promises, and sometimes, he would not fulfill them.

In fact, many times, he had obviously betrayed the people that trusted him. And right now, the people inside the conference room, some of them were mutants, which was why Amos could not turn against them.

Otherwise, Jackson believed that if they had been ordinary people, if they threatened Amos’ position, he would have not hesitated to find a way of eliminating them.

Jackson understood that with the commotion that he had caused at the entrance, it was inevitable that he had attracted a lot of attention. Therefore, he did not have much time here.

Without saying a word, he suddenly charged forward. He did not use his incredible speed that came from being a mutant, instead, he just depended on his innate strength.

Obviously, due to the enhancement that he received from the innate mutated muscle fibers, he could move at a speed that was way beyond that of an ordinary person.

Additionally, he did not have a bulky frame. Because of this, it was quite easy for him to be able to move fast just by depending on the strength of his muscles, and other parts of his body that had been strengthened due to the many experiments that had been carried on his body over an extended duration.

The first person that Jackson reached was just an ordinary person. Even though he had incredible fighting abilities and strength, that was if he was compared to ordinary humans.

But facing a superhuman like Jackson, the guy did not even have a chance to react before his head was grabbed. By the time that he tried to resist, with his gloved hand on the guys face, Jackson applied force.

Jackson had no any intention of holding back. Because of this, tremendous compression force was exerted on the skull of the person that he was holding, and the guy immediately began frantically resisting.

He tried pulling away from the hand, but he did not succeed. He even attempted to pry away Jackson’s hand, but that failed as well.

Unfortunately for him, his resistance did not last long, as just less than 10 seconds later, the bone chilling sound of bones being crushed could be heard within the conference room.

Then in the next moment, the eyes of the guy widened, as Jackson’s fingers pierced through the skull as it was crushed, with blood and brain matter making a gruesome scene to look at.

After he made sure that his fingers had penetrated the brain of the guy, completely crushing it, Jackson finally released the guy, allowing his body to collapse onto the ground with a thud.

There was an extended duration of silence, as everyone who was watching from the side took a while to be able to react.

Apart from Amos, nobody else within the conference room had known in advance that this guy was a mutant. Therefore, they had failed to react when he suddenly made a move.

Regardless, the moment that Jackson just finished dealing with one of them, someone close by, holding a gun, panicked. He immediately raised his hand, aiming at Jackson, before he pulled the trigger several times, without aiming properly.

At a time like this, did he even have the time to carefully aim? Did he even have the time to consider the consequences of shooting? At this point, he instinctively attacked, his will to survive immense.
