Chapter 401: Shock
For quite a while, Michael trained in the new training chamber installed in the villa that he just bought.
It was only at this moment that he finally understood why Kate seemed to be so obsessed with training. He could feel that he was continuously getting stronger at every moment.
And, this was considering the fact that Michael was already stronger than an ordinary human. Having already taken the evolution serum, he had already exceeded the human limits.
Yet, despite this, after training for a while, he realized that his strength was increasing. Probably, if he maintained the training at such an intense rate, it would only be a matter of a few months before his strength doubled.
In terms of combat experience, Michael did not lack that. That was the advantage that he got with gaining skills through the system, especially after they reached the expert level.
Of course, it was not that only combat related skills were the ones that granted him experience. Instead, even the other skills could grant him the experience, making him as though he had been exploring that field for many years.
It was just that some skills could not give him the same immersive experience as the one that he got during the time that his unarmed combat skill reached the expert level.
About 2 hours later, Michael was already done with the training. Then, as he left the villa, he could not help but wonder, word was Kate doing?
From what he knew about her, probably, she should have already arrived, just a few minutes after Michael got to the villa. But for some reason, she had not come over.
Regardless, Michael just shook his head, deciding not to pay much attention to this. Instead, he went back to the mansion.
When he got there, he realized that Kate was not around. She was not the only one, as Lina and Carol were also absent. When he inquired from Andrew, it turned out that the three ladies had left together.
As for where they went, Andrew did not know. Michael of course could easily get this information through Onyx. But he thought, it was not a must for him to always monitor Kate.
He could give her the freedom to do what she wanted. Still, he instructed Onyx that in case there was danger that Kate was facing, he should be immediately informed.
In real sense, Michael was not that much worried about Kate’s safety. At least, according to the information that he currently possessed, a combination of Kate and Lina was enough to be able to handle most of the mutants in this world.
That was especially considering that unlike Kate, who still needed time in order to be able to reach her full potentially, Lina was already there.
Even though she did not possess an ability that allowed her to be able to directly fight, it was very useful. Simply put, it could easily allow Lina to be able to deal with someone like Jackson.
The ability to be able to create illusions was quite overpowered. It was not that easy to be able to resist the illusions, and at times, someone might not even realize that they were under an illusion.
Because of that, they might even end up harming themselves, or standing in place, allowing Lina to be able to do to them whatever she wanted.

Inside a study room within the same residential district that Michael was staying, there was a man who was sitting behind the desk. There was a deep frown on his face as he went through the information on the tablet in his hands.
The content of the information involved the event that had occurred during the auction night.
The information mentioned the conflict between Michael, Kate and Carol, with Julius and Robin.
This man was none other than Chris Harrison, Robin’s father. He had just returned from the office, having worked overnight.
Previously, he had already received the information about the incident where Robin was beaten up at the auction.
He did not personally attend the auction, instead, he sent his eldest son there. Of course, for the Harrison family, it was not much of a problem for them to be able to acquire a few VIP access cards to the auction.
One of the VIP cards was given to Robin, and that guy went to attend the auction the previous night.
Unexpectedly, Chris was informed that somehow, Robin had provoked someone, which led to him being beaten up. The beating was quite severe, to the extent that Robin was currently in the hospital.
Chris initially did not pay much attention to this issue. He did not really care that much about Robin, having already given up on him. But even then, Robin was this son.
Because of this, he asked his assistant to get the information related to that incident, so that he could understand what had happened.
From what he understood, Robin was quite known in the capital. Even if not because of his own merit, but because of the family that he came from.
Therefore, not just anyone would end up beating Robin. Additionally, Chris also understood that Robin was not foolish. Even though he was a hedonist he at least knew his limits.
After arriving, he took a rest for a while, before he came to the study, to check what had happened.
But as he went through the information, he was left completely stunned. First of all, he could not recognize the three people. While one of them was wearing a mask, clearly trying to hide her identity, it was easy to be able to find who she was.
According to the information, it was clear that this lady a her music artist that was just starting to make a name for herself in the broad entertainment industry. She had been in the industry for quite a while, but had been suppressed for quite a while, before she received help from Vanguard corporation.
The issue was that, Chris could not recognize Carol. After all, for a busy person like him, did he really have the time to pay attention to some small celebrities?
But of course, most of Chris’ attention was focused on Michael and Kate. The video that was recorded, for some reason, the faces of the three could obviously not be seen clearly.

The lady who had taken action, beating everyone, including the professional bodyguards that always accompanied Robin, was just a young lady from the Eastern province.

Yet, there was an issue about the information related to this girl. She had joined the police force the previous year. Even though she officially started working just a few months ago, she had already been selected for a special training program.
From his understanding, search programs, they only chose those that had incredible contributions in the police force. But for Kate, it was clear that he had only just started recently, and had not contributed much.
Clearly, she did not have a big background enough to be able to influence the decision on the choice of those to join the special training program.
Hence, Chris came to a conclusion that Kate’s confidence came from the young man who accompanied her, Michael.
Michael might have hidden the information about himself, but when he made an appearance at Vanguard corporation, it was impossible to be able to hide the fact that he was the owner of Vanguard corporation.
Some of the major forces in the capital had already realized that Vanguard corporation had already been acquired. Even though Dwayne, the founder of Vanguard corporation was still in charge of the company, clearly, he was just someone carrying out another person’s will.
During the tour in Vanguard corporation, some people had identified Michael, and a few executives had already informed some people about Michael’s identity.
Thereby, through the few connections that the Harrison family had within Vanguard Corporation, it was not that much difficult for them to be able to get the information on Michael.
It was because of Michael’s information that Chris’ expression was getting grim by the second. At 18, to be the owner of an international level company obviously, Chris did not believe that this was Michael’s personal achievement.
Most probably, there was another force behind him. And that force was powerful enough to be able to allow Michael to manage a big company like Vanguard Corporation.

He had to owe so many favors in order to be able to gain the VVIP status, and until now, he had not yet prepaid some of those favors.
As he set aside the tablet, Chris finally understood the reason why Robin had been ’blind’ to target Michael.
Now, Chris had to decide, how was he supposed to handle this issue? Additionally, would Michael come looking for him, or he would ignore them?
