Chapter 400: Invitation, Dilemma
There was a time that the Wilson family experienced a problem. They were being suppressed by a family in the capital, to the extent that Marion was nearly kidnapped.
Of course, Marion had already escaped from the capital, and just happened to have gone to Brenton city. It was during that time, when she had been surrounded, the two bodyguards that she had killed, that Michael appeared.
It was quite coincidental, and Michael might not have involved himself in this matter if not for some of those guys who wanted to kidnap Marion forcing him to act.
After he dealt with those kidnappers, it was then that he realized that Marion was his cousin.
It was not much of a problem for Michael to be able to deal with the Laito family through Vanguard corporation.
It was because of the assistance of the Vanguard corporation that the Wilson family suddenly experienced growth. Even though it had not been that long since they began receiving the benefits of being associated with Vanguard corporation, the benefits could already be seen.
They had already signed several contracts, and long-term cooperation with several forces in the capital. This made it that many things were quite easy to be done by the Wilson family.
Of course, especially with the big moves that Vanguard corporation had been making recently, quite a number of forces within the capital thought about associating themselves with it.
Unfortunately, not just anyone was qualified to be able to form a collaboration with Vanguard corporation. Because of that, those small forces could only look for other options.
The fact that Vanguard corporation acted in order to help out the Wilson family was not hidden. Because of this, some small companies decided to curry favor with the Wilson family.
Even though those companies are considered small, that was if they were compared to big corporations like Vanguard corporation.
But a family like the Wilsons, this was a big chance. And because of this, with all of their businesses showing an upward trend, Marion’s parents Anna and Abel, realized that they needed to thank Michael.
Marion had already previously informed them about Michael’s situation. They of course stood that whatever Michael had, it had nothing to do with the Santos family.
It was because of this that they were able to accept Michael’s help. But even then, they never anticipated that Michael would help them out this big.
Therefore, they felt kind of uncomfortable considering that they had never contacted Michael personally. So, they thought, it would be a good idea to meet him in person.
They wanted to thank him for his assistance. Yes, they might not be able to thank him in the form of money, but there were other ways that they could show their gratitude to him.
It was because of this reason that Marion was contacting Michael. And the moment that the call connected, Marion went straight to the point after a few exchanges of greetings.
"So, it’s like this, my mom and dad would like to thank you for your assistance. Because of your help, the position of the Wilson family within the capital has been drastically improved.
We would like to invite you to come over for a meal. If you are free, you can tell us the time, so that we can make the arrangements." Marion extended the invite.
Still, she fell at a little nervous as she asked Michael. After all, she understood that the relationship between her and Michael wasn’t that deep.
The probability of Michael accepting this was quite low. Having stayed with him or quite a while, and managing to hear a few things about him, she understood that Michael was on a completely different level.
Such a person, if not for the fact that they were related, there was a probability that they might never have associated with each other.
Marion was not the only person who was waiting for Michael’s response. Sitting on the couch opposite Marion, Anna and Abel both on nervously.
Initially, Abel intended to make the call. He was Cynthia’s brother after all. Therefore, he thought, if he invited Michael, there was a chance that he would accept.
But then, Anna stopped him. It was simply because Abel had never met Michael. Even though Marion had already described to them as much as possible about Michael, it was normal to be able to miss a few details.
Because of this, she suggested that they should let Marion make the call instead. At least, Marion had interacted with Michael, and the relationship between the two of them was way close as compared to that of Michael and Abel.
This was what led to the current incident where the two of them were currently waiting for Michael’s response.
"Okay, I will make an arrangement. I cannot state the exact date and time, but I will definitely tell you at least a day in advance." Michael’s voice came through the phone’s speaker.
Even though Michael had not told them the exact date that he would be coming over, but at least, he had said that he would come. This immediately made the three people relieved.

After ending the call with Marion, Michael fell into a moment of thought. He had his own considerations when it came to him accepting the invitation.
In any case, he had already initially planned to pay a visit to the Wilson family. It was just that he had not yet decided on the day that he would go there.
Shaking his head slightly, Michael decided to focus on something else. He analyzed his body a little bit longer, trying to make sure that he understood all the changes that had happened to him after he had taken the mutation serum.
About 2 minutes later, he finally entered the bathroom, took a quick shower, before getting dressed into a new pair of clothes.
Most of the clothes that Michael had were always bought by Adrian. It was only recently when Kate came over that she began selecting a few pairs for him.
And the ones that he had just worn, a plain white T-shirt, paired with dark blue jeans that fit comfortably, a brown leather belt and matching brown boots with a silver wristwatch on his left wrist were all selected by Kate back in Brenton city.
Despite the fact that she knew that Michael had a lot of money, and so was her family, she did not like to waste it. Therefore, before coming over, she had made sure that they all carried a few sets of clothes.
After getting dressed, Michael left his room, and went downstairs. Upon reaching the living room on the first floor, he found that Kate and Lina were chatting idly.
Despite being upstairs, if Michael had intended to listen in on their conversation, it would have been easy. After all, his sense of hearing was quite sharp.
But of course, Michael applied the filtering function, whereby, he ignored most of the sounds that he heard, and mainly paid attention to the sounds that came from nearby, at least within his closest surroundings.
"What are you two chatting about that it is making you smile so happily?" Michael asked to curiously as he approached the two ladies.
"We are talking some lady stuff, don’t worry about it." Kate immediately responded with a smile.
Michael shrugged at her response, before he headed towards the door. It was only then that Kate and Lina noticed that he was leaving.
"Where are you going? Can I come with you?" Instinctively, Kate asked. She really liked adventure, and seeing Michael go out, she wanted to follow him.
Previously, she had dedicated a lot of time to training and learning quite a number of skills. This was mainly due to the obsession that she had with revenge.
But ever since she dealt with Bob, things had changed. It was as if her personality had been completely altered. While some of her previous traits remained, others were just a complete opposite of the previous ones.
Michael stopped and looked at her. At this point, he wondered, who was it that was insisting that they should go back so that she could train? Now, just a little while after they came back, she had already forgotten, and wanted to go out for a walk?
Despite what he was thinking, Michael did not voice that out. Instead, he responded, "I’m going to check out the new training chamber. If you want to come, you can come. But, about Carol, you can sort her out first. It is just the villa on our left."
Kate only then remembered that it was not just the three of them that were here. Instead, there was someone else that she had been ignoring, Carol.
Kate suddenly realized, it seemed that he was not that good when it came handling people? Probably, if she had some petty friends, by now, they would have already broken off the friendship.
"Okay, you go ahead, I will come over in a while." Kate responded, as she decided to first go and look for Carol.
But she had only stood up when Lina suddenly asked, "What? You had already promised me that you would go with me. Now, you have already changed your mind the moment that you saw your sweetheart?"
"Ah?" Kate was left dumbfounded when she heard that. Not long ago, she had accepted Lina’s suggestion. But now, it seemed that she had already forgotten about that?
Immediately, Kate was caught in a dilemma. Was she supposed to go and train, or should she accompany Lina?
