Chapter 219: Resource Sharing
The three had long agreed to return to Earth for now, and Seth didn’t object to this reasoning, following them as they navigated their way to safe residences.
It seemed the settlement provided safe suits that could be rented by evolvers. With these, one could safely return to their home planet and later return to the Origin Realm under safe premises.
The three conversed as they walked through the streets. Seth, donning his Gothic abyssal armor, had his genetic battle suit still in recovery mode, so he could only make do with the royal-grade set.
Uriel wore a brown leather jacket over black trousers, both Origin items of the Leader grade, along with his legacy item spear strapped to his back. Then there was Elaine, encased in a beautiful frost armor of the royal grade.
She had probably obtained it during her class quest, along with the mage staff she held.
Jack remained shirtless, his broad chest marked with scars, wearing hide trousers with black bandages wrapped around his arms like a monk.
The four already had the subtle makings of a balanced cohort.
Seth tried casting WildLock repeatedly on them while listening as they explained how their class quests went, along with their classes and specialties.
But it seemed the skill could only be cast after he witnessed his target use the ability.
Licking his lips, the lights in his eyes calming, ’I’ll just have to be patient then.’
With that, he focused on learning his teammates’ abilities. With all of them now having full trust in one another, they communicated the specifics of their abilities while culling their Will.
This ensured their language would be incomprehensible to passersby.
This was an important moment for the team. If they wanted to take full advantage of functioning as a unit, they had to understand each other’s abilities too.
He learned that Elaine had entered the Summoner’s Temple, where she seemed to meet some hidden requirements to acquire the special class Dread of Winter.
A necromancer-like skill, it allowed her to explore the deeper reaches of the death and ice essence her Gene skill had introduced her to.
Basically, Elaine would be their crowd control and air specialist...
Uriel started talking next. Seth paid more attention to his narration, wanting to understand how this guy got involved with time essence.
"I went to the Knight Trade Hall..." Uriel began, and Seth’s eyes flashed.
The Knight Hall held myriad classes: tank, swordsman, lance master, and so on. For Uriel to explore that Hall meant he was probably interested in a spear-related class.
"The Knight class consists of three pillars: speed, attack, and defense. I naturally selected speed, while choosing the Lance Master class." Uriel paused at this stage, his eyes flashing as he recalled what happened.
"I cleared the Lance Master trial so perfectly I was offered the chance to challenge a special class trial... long story short, I won by a hair’s breadth and acquired the class Astra Heavy Cavalry Lancer!"
Seth’s eyes flashed curiously, and he asked, "Astra? Is that a time-related class?"
Uriel smiled and shook his head. "No, Astra is constellation-related. I can draw power from various constellations, but due to my low level I’m still limited to one, and it’s time-related."
Hearing Uriel speak, Seth nodded in understanding.
"Now I just have to find myself a powerful mount-type companion pet to fully wield my ability," Uriel muttered.
But Seth heard this, his eyes lighting up as he recalled something. His teeth glinted as he cocked a grin and inched closer to Uriel.
Throwing a hand around his friend’s shoulder, he scrolled through his interface. "I have a package right here that suits you, my friend."
As Seth spoke, his gaze shone as he pulled an interface into view.
[The Stellar March Cavalry Package:]
- Celestial Nova Asteroid Lance! (Monarch Grade)
- Divine Stellar Rider Armor Set! (Monarch Grade)
- Gene Skill Crystal: Astral Charge! (Monarch Grade)
- Mythic Unique Class Path for Divine Cavalry Knight!
- Combat Mount Egg: Star Threader (Gold Hooves Variant) (Legendary)
- Combat Mount Armor: Star Shade! (Monarch Grade)
This was a flash sale product he had bought last time after his battle with the Bloodbornes.
Seth’s eyes lingered on the class area of the list. ’Well, it sounds similar enough. Let’s give it a try.’
A screen flashed before Uriel...
[Incoming System Link accept? Y/N]
Uriel blinked, recalling the System Link as a function of the system that allowed people to share status and item details.
Uriel accepted in a beat without the slightest hesitation. An interface flickered into sight.
’Huh? Stellar March Cavalry Package...’ Uriel thought as he squinted, his eyes slowly going through the list.
His eyes widened, sucking in a mouthful of air in shock, lingering on the Monarch-grade tags beside the list.
He swallowed hard, his pulse quickening as he glanced at Seth. "Y-you want to give this to me?" he asked, shocked.
Seth flashed a toothy grin. "Hehe, of course. It’s a perfect match for you."
Uriel’s eyes flashed as he gazed at the class, Divine Cavalry Knight. Something stirred in his soul... his newly acquired class!
It seemed claiming this class was possible. Yearning brewed in his heart, but still he curbed his desires. "I can’t possibly accept that. It’s too valuable." He waved his hands, closing his eyes.
Seth scoffed in his ears. "Who told you I’m giving it for free?" He smirked.
Uriel glanced at him gratefully. Seth seemed to sense his hesitation in receiving such enormous help. After all, he was a genius and had his ego.
If he accepted Seth’s offer, didn’t that mean he hadn’t acquired his powers with his own hands?
But by phrasing it like this, Uriel could settle with paying back in the future, removing the mental devil if it ever popped up.
Glancing at the package, Seth shook his hands, forming a spatial link through which the package was transferred to Uriel’s inventory.
Done with this deal, Seth felt happy. At least the package didn’t have to remain rotting in uselessness for long.
It was even better since it was his teammate who got it. That way, he would benefit directly from its powers.
Satisfied, he turned his attention to Jack, who began to speak.
