Chapter 218: Back To The Origin Realm
Seth’s consciousness sank in a dysphoria of darkness and light, his thought process murky as his soul glimmered, fixing the spreading cracks of his mental space.
The teleportation this time was more violent, like a catapult stretched to its limit, Farad’s suppression over space imitating the same effect.
So the moment the teleportation initiated, it came with stacked momentum, swinging Seth back to the Origin Realm with dreadful intensity.
His skin scraped against the fractured rims of space as his unconscious body spun down the tunnel of a hyper-dimensional warp.
Crackle! Something snapped into place as the last crack in Seth’s mind dissolved into nothing. Fully healed, his pupils sparked to life like a lit lamp.
His Will brewed back together in a slow whirl. The moment his consciousness snapped into full clarity, light bled into his eyes, and he landed with an abrupt yet delicate intensity.
The momentum force was so controlled that he barely stirred any commotion in his surroundings the moment he landed.
Seth raised his head, wincing as he peeked at the skies, and in that moment a surge of relief pulsed through his veins.
Closing his eyes, he let out a heavy breath, his shoulders rising as lightness coursed through his cells.
He was alive!
That was undisputedly the worst situation Seth had ever found himself in.
And truthfully, if he had known he would be teleported to the greater universe to complete this quest, he would have delayed things a bit.
But the abruptness of it all left him in shock. Calming himself, the flash image of the four god-like evolvers replayed in his mind.
His breath quickened once more, his pulse racing. ’So this level of power is obtainable?’ Seth’s eyes bled lights of anticipation as he thought.
Endless Evolution! Somehow those two words sounded countless times more interesting.
A wide grin grew on Seth’s face as he began to observe his surroundings...
"Huh?" Seth blinked, confused, as he glanced at the surroundings again...
’Where the fuck is that killer clown’s stall?’ It didn’t feel right. He was sure the teleportation returned him to the place he left.
Because he could match the surrounding trade stalls to memory, it was just the eerie trademaster’s stall that was nowhere to be seen.
Whatever. Seth quickly shelved the question to the back of his mind. Right now, he was finally at the mid-stage of the Awakened Rank!
Adding this to his new class, Seth’s prowess was well above what beings of the Noble grade could access.
At this stage, Seth began to process what their next move would be...
He would have to meet up with the others. They would return back to Earth because of the time limit, and after that they would come back to the Origin and head to the settlement situated in the desert region. There they would reunite with Brandon.
Seth got to his feet. With his current Intelligence stats being so high, his memory was practically photographic. Finding his way back through the maze of trade stalls was a simple matter.
Seth walked out of the variant cluster, heading straight to the agreed rendezvous point. Right from afar, he caught sight of the other three calmly waiting for him.
’Shit, it seems I took the most time. Well, I can’t be blamed with what I went through, and not still knowing the time ratio between here and the Verdant Moon, it could have been worse.’ Seth thought as he arrived before the three.
As he got closer, he could already feel a distinct difference in presence from all three of his friends. His uniquely deep perception could sense their paths.
He locked his gaze on Elaine. It seemed she had taken a special or unique path. He could feel the deep blend of death and ice in her essence.
Then there was Jack. Seth shifted his gaze, examining his taciturn friend. The wild aura Jack once bore faintly had been amplified. Seth could almost see the waft of red misting from his figure.
Juggernaut! Seth blinked as the words formed in his mind. His gaze lingered on the pulsing rune gauntlet on Jack’s hands before he shifted his sights to Uriel.
"Hmm?" Seth’s eyes glimmered... "Interesting."
Seth was a chaotic being who didn’t seem to have a particular affinity of any kind, when in truth he had two core affinities rooted into his Will.
Time and space!
This in-depth attunement to these elements didn’t reflect in Seth’s essence, but it lingered in his Will. This allowed Seth to be really sensitive to these two elements.
And now? Seth’s eyes glinted as he scanned Uriel up and down. He could sense one of the two elements on Uriel...
’How the fuck did this guy get a time-related class? I thought his affinity was with lightning, no?’ Seth was confused and surprised at the same time.
The moment he got closer, the three stood on seeing Seth.
"Sure took your sweet time, didn’t you." Uriel scolded, scanning Seth up and down.
His brows creased. "Wait, don’t tell me you didn’t select a class?" Uriel asked, as he didn’t sense any difference from Seth’s aura.
Seth wore a mysterious smirk. How would these guys understand that the only reason they couldn’t sense anything yet was because his class skill slots were empty?
Come to think of it, his eyes flashed as he scanned the three of his friends like predator eyes on prey.
He needed powerful class skills to lock into the WildLock skill.
And here before him were three undoubtedly monstrous geniuses. He could at least milk one skill from each of them.
Licking his lips, Seth scanned them, eyes flashing.
The three went on guard, feeling a sudden chill down their backs as they stared at Seth warily.
Smiling, Seth asked, "How long have you all been waiting for me?"
Elaine spoke, "We were beginning to get worried for you because of the time limit and all. We’ve been waiting here for at least three hours, each of us taking six to eight hours to complete our class quest."
Seth nodded. "I see... I’m sorry for the delay then. Things went out of control for a bit on my end, but at least I was successful in the end."
The three glanced at him doubtfully. Sensing his aura again, they didn’t feel the slightest bit of difference.
Seth saw the questioning lights in their eyes, and he smiled. "Let’s just say my class is quite... tricky."
