Chapter 213: Final Strike!

Sparks sprayed as shattered pieces of Legion littered the battlefield, and with Seth’s unrelenting grind having trimmed down the number of the hive mind.

His clones became unsustainable as they slowly diffused into a shadowy mist. His exhaustion evident he let out heavy breaths.

His chest swelling and contracting, the dull glow of bronze sparkling across his skin, dying out in that instant. His adrenal Matrix drying cold as his racial trait sputtered to an end.

Stream rising from his pores, his bright Amethyst crystalline pupils tore through the distance locked in what was left.

His will was critically low, his vitality moderately good, but his essence was already dwindling.

In the end, his Bronze charge didn’t outlast Legion, Still, in this moment, Seth’s eyes remained absent of fear, the thrilling cold rush flooding his veins.

The mix between the fear of death and the excitement of facing it consumed his mind, his heart hammering against his rib cage.

His muscles clenched and his grasp around the Warhammers tightening as they dissolved into a flowing stream of silver, forming into a singular great sword.

A cold black abyssal Gothic armour bled across Seth’s skin, encasing his head in a Gothic helmet, his purple pupils burning bright behind the visor’s slits.

The earth beneath his feet cracked as his weight tripled, throwing himself right at his foe, his arms swinging.

Liquid currents of blue essence flowed across Seth’s frame as the hand of tide gene skill burned Seth’s arms a lot with a glow of sapphire.

The cold total flow rippled to cloak the gr at swords, spinning in the air he swung his blades...

"Severing tide!" The faint whisper echoed through the Sandy storm.

And with an explosive compact whip, a shockwave burst outward.

Sharpness stacked by shuddering might and a force of tidal wave tore through the air, the sand storm silencing for a few minutes as bodies of Legion plopped falling into cleanly severed halves.

Naturally not all of the Immortal King’s bodies had been cleared, a few still stood strong.

Staring briefly at their eliminated bodies lying around them, Legion all raised their heads in sync scanning Seth’s fatigued frame; they quickly assessed that the severing ability wouldn’t be replicable in a short while.

And they all pressed. Short of breath, Seth’s teeth gnashed, unable to believe that it didn’t clear them all as he hoped.

Force Embodiment was slowly working as his will and essence churned with the nature of death.

Seth quickly estimated how long the dwindling essence trickling through his energy nodes could last.

Legion, not relenting, quickly spread, ensnaring Seth into a circle, the eyes of the hive soldiers igniting in sync, "You are the Ruler!" A robotic mesh of myriad voices echoed. "Die!"

Golden flares ignited from their golden armours, their weapon glowing with a hint of divinity.

Seth’s heart chilled, his guts sinking.... this wasn’t accounted for at all! Was their ability to access divine energy not restricted?

What the fuck was happening?

His heart welling with pressure Seth reigned back on his attack, weaving through his foes as they pressed him with furious assaults.

His eyes flashed as his pupils blurred swerving between foes, quickly calculating that everyone was within range, Seth’s facade fell.

The heavy shroud of urgency once present on his expression gone, his eyes spilling ruthlessly cold light he figure halted abruptly.

Sword raised high, a shadowy grey haze of death billowed from the cold obsidian steel, Seth drew on what was left of his essence.

Trickling with the cold lethality of death, they fueled the Legendary Sets Domain like ability.

Death Zone!

A dense shroud of Gray spread through the Sandy storm, everyone feeling their vitality slowly plummeting and their grasp over essence becoming weaker.

The cold wash of death raged, as Legion ensnared in this zone fell under the disastrous debuff.

Seth mustered the last of his strength, exhaustion pushing on his psyche as he struggled to retain lucidity, and he pushed forward.

His blade swung with ruthless brutal might, reducing all Legion bodies to nothing as they struggled against the dense grey miasma of death, his body slowly constantly trying to retain the burst of strength.

But it was clear he was slowly losing his grasp, his pace began to slow, his attacks landing a bit later, his vision blurring in and out.

His pupils flickered, everything cleared out for a moment glancing at his sword running through a Hive soldier.

He pulled it out letting the body shatter into glittering Sparks. He struggled to look around and there was nothing but silence.

It seemed he had won.

He whipped his head to the side, alarmed as a dull glow lit up in the distant sandy haze, but before he could even make a move his consciousness blurred out.

His sense of time in chaos. It felt like both a very long time and the briefest of moments.

Dull blur lights slowly bled into his eyes, as the sandstorm had now cleared out, the vast desert stretching into the boundless expanse as far as the eye could see.

’I... I’m still alive?" Seth’s mind blanked in confusion. And then a chill rush of relief flooded his veins, the realisation that he survived just when he truly believed he was dead came with its own thrilling rush.

He clawed to his feet, his body cloaked with sand, it seemed he had automatically dismissed his armour, he took greedy breaths of the clean, sand-free air, his lungs relaxing as pure air hit them.

He scratched his head as fleshed-out detailed memories began resurfacing, he was sure he had sensed a dull glow just before he blacked out.

He had assumed it was the glow of a surviving Legion and apparently, he was wrong, but this could only mean one thing...

Loot!

Eyes snapping to clarity, Seth’s eyes honed through the Sandy distance, perceiving the light, tracking his way up a small mound of glowing sand.

He got to his knees and began using both of his bare hands to dig out the mound, his eyes spilling light of anticipation as he thought of the loot.

For a foe like Legion, the loot drop from such a creature had to be great right? Heart burning with expectation.

He grabbed the bright yellow orb, and it popped into darkness, as the details flashed into his sight.
