Chapter 209: Evolution Convergence

Seth didn’t undergo another evolution, he didn’t gain another gene skill, nor did he unlock a new ability.

As a matter of fact if one peeked at his stats, it would be clear they were still the same as when this battle began.

What was happening right now was merely an actualization of the power that Seth was always meant to grasp, a perfect convergence of all his attributes.

As they say, only under pressure can steel become a blade.

The constant pressure of life and death had tempered Seth and finally with a mental breakthrough, all the series of coincidental evolutions he had ever undergone collided and converged, each feeding off each other to reflect a greater effect!

The Gene skill Hand of Tide rippled through his muscle mass, fuelling it with currents of staggering might.

The Gene skill Armageddon rippled with black currents that streamed through his being, making his very presence countless times more deadly as the force of annihilation thrived.

The most crucial anchor linking all these paths together and doing most of the lifting being the gene skill Absolute Weapon Resonance!

The moment Seth’s introspection changed, and the mental block that refused to let him perceive life as weapons unraveled he felt the ability of this gene skill elevate.

Though it was still short of spilling into the grand realm of Saint Grade, its effect could now apply to his body—boosting him by a ridiculous margin.

His other Gene skills fed off it in a cascading loop, stacking their effects to ever-higher margins.

And finally Force Embodiment! His first and only Saint grade Gene skill!

What would happen if he embodied his own essence—his will spilling outward with greater density and intensity? The effect announced itself as his racial status bled to a higher state.

The bronze cells burned like nuclear reactors, his racial skill and racial traits melding into one—his will reflecting it all, his essence coursing with a burning, molten density of pure bronze!

There and then, the universe welcomed the first true actualized Bronze human!

A being that pulled on the anchor that restrained reality, a perfect embodiment of the infinite potential of the human race.

Seth’s aura boiled rich with bronze and laced with amethyst.

The darkness around him receded like a tide, the Immortal King instantly realising that this wasn’t a prey anymore!

This was an apex predator, its vigilance elevating at the reeling dissonance of presence Seth now released.

One had to understand it from the creature’s perspective—Seth had been lying in that crater for barely three seconds, and all of a sudden his presence had shifted so drastically?

Even the divine remnant was confused, it couldn’t understand where all this power was coming from, plus there was the confusing fact that it could feel it!

Seth’s stats, his essence pool, his will margin, why were they all still the same yet his presence suddenly so different?

Even Seth’s spectators gawked, unable to understand what they were witnessing.

They were all grand beings with the weakest of them currently at the fourth state of evolution, and yet they still couldn’t wrap their minds around the sight.

The spectating system of the spaceship had been calibrated into the trial dungeon over thousands of years; they had long managed to tune it into relaying far more than mere visuals.

It could track the participants physical state also, allowing them to perceive the state and presence of the trial runner as though he stood in the room with them.

They hadn’t only been witnessing Seth’s state they had been feeling it.

Which was why they could flag a series of anomalies—not only did it appear Seth possessed Gene skills beyond Royal Grade.

His racial skills and traits were of a strain they had never perceived before!

Eyes flashed across the room, everyone having myriad differing thoughts...

If previously they were only mildly curious about Seth race now it was a must know.

They had imagined Seth to be a distinguished mutant of his race—all due to the prowess and quality of Gene skills he displayed—but now things were different.

They could sense the clear difference—Seth’s power didn’t only stem from his unique genes; it also stemmed from his racial traits and essence!

And the implication of this was staggering—it meant somewhere out there in the vast expanse of the universe, there was an entire hegemon species thriving on some planet, each member carrying potential akin to Seth’s!

Even if not every member of his race was as terrifying as this—even if they only had 10% of the lethality they had just witnessed—and accounting for the fact that geniuses among them would be at least of Seth’s level, or perhaps just a fraction short... it was still an utterly terrifying prospect!

Seth was merely an Awakened—hence why their reactions from the beginning had been mildly lax.

But now?

The thought of an entire species, of such a Caliber growing unchecked brought a dreadful chill to their spines.

If left unchecked, these beings could grow enough to fracture the thin balance of power held across the Cosmos!

That aside would the sacred races just sit still and watch such a species thrive?

Farad’s eyes flashed, restless he turned to the others, "I’ll be back—I have an errand to run..."

With that, his foot barely grazing the ground, his figure whisked out of sight...

Silence fell over the room, everyone staring at the exit he had just used.

"Ahem..." the lizard man feigning a cough spoke, "ah I just recalled, I have unfinished business, if you all will excuse me." His raspy voice ringing but his figure long blurred out of sight.

Who here was stupid? Horak—the lizard man—was the Ace of the Club Suit. Farad, the Ace of the Diamond Suit.

How wouldn’t they see through the bullshit?

Those two had probably rushed to inform the Jack of their suits, pushing their speculation up the chain of command.

It wouldn’t be long before the King and Queen of their suits got a whiff of this.

"Ahem, I think I have something to do—excuse me." In an instant, another figure—an Ace of Spades—vanished.

Then another not even bothering to say anything, the feminine figure wreathed in an aura of peach suddenly blurred out of sight, the Ace of hearts.

Like that, all the Aces were gone—leaving the others to glance at each other warily, before casting uneasy gazes back to the screen, their hearts palpitating as they stared at Seth’s silhouette.

Somehow, everyone knew this insignificant Awakened-rank being would be the spark that started a Storm someday....
