Chapter 1447: Stabbing

The voice held nothing but contempt and hatred. It was a deep-rooted hatred that had taken root over hundreds of years and had finally found its chance to be spoken.

The Void Architect heard every word. More than that, he felt them. His Creation had rejected the very purpose for which she had been made.

It turned out the connection between them still remained, although it had become incredibly faint. It was no longer strong enough for the Void Architect to control her, but it was enough for him to feel the emotions flowing through that connection.

Hatred, disgust, and rejection flowed at him. The Void Architect’s face twisted into an even more terrifying snarl. His eyes blazed with uncontrollable fury.

"Is that so?" the Void Architect shouted. "Is that truly what you want? Then I’ll kill this king and destroy the world where you live!"

His voice echoed across the battlefield with overwhelming force. Yet only the Void Architect could hear the Sky Anchor’s voice, and only she could hear his furious response. To everyone else, it looked as though the Void Architect was screaming at nothing but the wind.

King Garrie still lay on his back, staring blankly at the sky. His vision refused to focus. His mind remained empty. Pain consumed every part of his body as the poison seeped deeper into his organs.

But gradually, that pain began to fade. Another energy entered his body.

"Do not give up, human king," the Sky Anchor said inside his mind. "Just a little longer. I promise."

Slowly, King Garrie’s stamina began to recover. His consciousness returned. His thoughts became clear once more. His eyes finally focused again.

Turning his head, he saw the Void Architect glaring toward the pillar of white light stretching into the sky.

King Garrie told himself to stand. The battle was not over. It would not be over until it was really over. He has to make sure that happens.

At that moment, the Void Architect suddenly snapped his head toward him. Hatred filled his crimson eyes. He gripped both swords tightly before marching toward the king.

King Garrie drew a deep breath to calm his mind. Then he reached for the sword lying a short distance away, seized its hilt, and pushed himself back to his feet in a single motion before raising the blade once more.

The Void Architect looked genuinely surprised. But the expression lasted only a split second. His face twisted back into rage as he let out a furious roar and charged.

The two clashed once again.

This time, however, the battle had changed. King Garrie clearly held the advantage. Whether he had somehow become stronger or the Void Architect had grown weaker, even the king could not tell.

The Void Architect’s movements were no longer as fast as before. His attacks no longer carried the same crushing force.

King Garrie met every attack with steady precision before launching relentless counterattacks of his own. His sword carved glowing golden arcs through the air, opening fresh wounds across the Void Architect’s body.

Between every exchange, the king drove heavy kicks into his opponent, forcing the Void Architect to stagger backward again and again as blood splattered across the ground.

"How are you still standing?!" the Void Architect shouted, his eyes widening in disbelief.

"Because I have to," King Garrie replied. His voice remained calm, but every word carried unwavering resolve. "This is my kingdom, and these are my people. I fight for them. That is why my strength is a thousand times greater than yours!"

King Garrie exploded forward with tremendous force. The Void Architect desperately raised both swords to block and counterattack. But he could not stop the king’s momentum.

Golden light flashed repeatedly as King Garrie’s blade slipped through every opening in the Void Architect’s defense. One slash tore across his chest, another cut deeply into his shoulder before a third opened a wound along his stomach side.

The Void Architect stumbled backward under the relentless assault as blood poured from his injuries.

Unable to maintain his footing any longer, the Void Architect finally collapsed onto the ground.

The cosmic being, mighty creator of the Sky Anchor, had been brought down by a human.

Shock filled the Void Architect’s face. His mind was no longer able to think clearly now. His body had suffered too many severe injuries, and every wound continued draining his strength.

He looked up and saw King Garrie slowly walking toward him.

The king’s body seemed to shine beneath the dark sky. His eyes burned with brilliant golden light, radiating unwavering determination.

At that moment, the Void Architect felt as though King Garrie had become a being far stronger than himself. That image carved itself deeply into his mind.

"You made a great mistake by coming to this world," King Garrie said. His voice echoed like thunder inside the Void Architect’s head. "The greatest mistake you made... was coming to my kingdom and crossing paths with me!"

King Garrie raised his sword high. Then he drove it straight into the Void Architect’s chest.

THRUST!

The blade pierced deeply into his body. The Void Architect screamed as overwhelming pain exploded through him.

But King Garrie did not stop. He knew a single strike would never be enough to kill a being like this.

So he pulled the sword free and stabbed again.

Again.

Again.

Again and again, the sword plunged into the Void Architect’s chest. Golden light erupted with every strike while dark blood burst from the widening wounds, splattering across the ground.

The Void Architect’s body convulsed violently under the relentless assault as each stab drove the blade deeper into his already devastated body.

The Void Architect let out a deafening scream that shook the wind itself. The sound spread across the world like the cry of a dying monster.

At that very moment, the connection between this body and his true body was severed.

His already weakened soul split apart once again. Weakening him more than before, reducing him from cosmic being into lesser.
