Chapter 1441: Drawing Even More
Erend charged toward Nyssara once again. Unlike before, however, his mind had regained its clarity. The lingering echoes of the Black Rage still remained deep within his soul but they no longer clouded his judgment. His crimson Dragon eyes stayed locked on Nyssara as blazing fire continued trailing behind his massive body while he tore through the dark sky.
Meanwhile, Nyssara felt panic tightening around her thoughts. For a moment, she intended to draw even more power from her real body. Her instinct screamed at her to overwhelm these Dragonborn through sheer strength alone. But then reason finally returned, allowing her to think more clearly.
If she drew even more power from her real body, she would truly be violating the oath she had made with the Dragonborn.
The backlash would become far more severe.
Nyssara did not believe she could endure another increase in the punishment.
But if she refused... Could she still win this battle?
The question lingered inside her mind, growing harder with every second passed.
She also realized the Dragonborn would never give her the opportunity to recover. They would continue attacking relentlessly until they completely destroyed this avatar.
She could not allow that to happen.
In the end, Nyssara chose the option with the lesser destruction.
Even if she suffered even greater backlash afterward, she would endure it. That was still better than surrendering herself to defeat at the hands of these Dragonborn.
ROOOAAARRR!
Nyssara unleashed another deafening roar. This one was louder than before.
The vibrations spread across the sky with such overwhelming force that even the four Dragonborn felt the difference immediately.
"This is different. It’s like she’s about to change," Sylven said through their telepathic connection.
"Is she using more of her real power now?" Eccar asked, his thoughts filled with worry. "Wouldn’t that mean she’s breaking the oath?"
Erend kept his eyes fixed on Nyssara, sensing the growing danger radiating from her cosmic body.
"I think that’s exactly what she’s planning," Erend replied.
The moment he spoke, Eccar, Aesa, and Sylven felt the anger radiating from him. It burned like brilliant fire. The heat of those emotions almost seemed capable of scorching their souls through the telepathic connection.
"That doesn’t matter. She’s weakening herself right now. What we have to do is keep pressing our advantage," Erend said.
The instant the words left his mind, he accelerated toward Nyssara once again.
This time he made a decision. Erend deliberately chose not to use the power of the Lightning Dragon. He did not know what would happen if he called upon that power while the Black Rage still lingered inside him.
It could trigger the Rage once again and push him into a state from which there would be no return. Combined with the overwhelming speed granted by the Lightning Dragon, it would become nearly impossible for his friends to reach him or bring him back to his senses.
Eccar, Aesa, and Sylven followed closely behind him. Their hearts also burned with the desire to destroy Nyssara as they followed Erend’s lead without hesitation.
Now that Nyssara had drawn more power from her real body, much of her previous fear had disappeared. Dark light surged across her cosmic body once again.
She no longer hesitated. Instead, she charged directly toward the four Dragonborn.

Meanwhile, the five Archmages continued struggling to complete the Sky Anchor. Each of them could feel they had already made tremendous progress, but the process was still not finished right now.
"Hold on, everyone. We’re almost there!" Archmage Velrion said through gritted teeth, encouraging the others despite the immense strain pressing against his body.
"Yeah!" Morvain replied immediately.
The remaining Archmages answered with the same determination, their voices equally strained as they continued pouring every remaining drop of Magic into the ritual.
At last, the ancient runes began linking together one after another.
Those runes did not originate from this world. They came directly from the Sky Anchor itself. Now, the ancient symbols slowly started aligning themselves with the Magic of this world.
—
Outside, the Void Architect continued battling King Garrie. Despite his injuries and the poison slowly consuming his body, the king relentlessly pressed the Void Architect without giving him a single moment to breathe. A brilliant light burned within King Garrie’s eyes. It radiated unwavering determination so intensely that even the Void Architect could feel it.
But he could not lose. He had gambled everything on this battle. He could not allow this human king to emerge victorious.
His two crimson swords slashed and thrust one after another with deadly precision. King Garrie blocked every strike while continuously launching attacks of his own. Golden Magic shone around the king’s body, strengthening his movement.
His swordsmanship had risen several levels beyond what he had displayed before because, at this very moment, he was pushing himself without reservation.
The fate of his entire kingdom depended on this battle. How could he possibly afford to hold back?
He had to push himself to his limit. No. Beyond his limit!
King Garrie suddenly lunged forward with explosive speed. His sword swept sideways in a swift arc, knocking one of the Void Architect’s crimson blades away from his path.
Without pausing for even an instant, the king drove deeper into the Void Architect’s defense.
The Void Architect gritted his teeth.
Then, at that exact moment, he felt the Sky Anchor’s energy suddenly spike.
It immediately made his focus wavered.
King Garrie saw the opening immediately. So he lunged even farther forward.
His sword pierced straight into the Void Architect’s stomach.
"Kugh..." the Void Architect let out a pained groan. His lips parted in a snarl, his teeth showing completely and dyed in red.
Then he spat out a mouthful of blood.
King Garrie saw that weakness. He didn’t let his guard down. Who knows what this evil being was able to do even during this seemingly time of weakness?
"HAAAA!!!" Void Architect suddenly roared.
King Garrie’s eyes widened a little, feeling a sudden spike of power from.
Sensing danger, the king immediately retreated.
