Chapter 477: Chapter 314: Tier-6 Wonder, a Sword Seed?

The Central Treasure Vault had a sturdy main door, but it couldn’t be opened without the captain’s authorization.

This Central Treasure Vault was incredibly sturdy and well-sealed. Previously, not even Mr. Ya’s "Nihility" could penetrate it, let alone Su Ze’s Perception Tentacles. As a result, they still knew nothing about what lay inside.

"Alright, let’s give it a try," Su Ze said.

Mr. Ya nodded, took hold of Su Ze, and activated his "Nihility" skill.

The fully upgraded "Nihility" skill allowed him to bring someone else into a state of nihility with him.

Su Ze’s and Mr. Ya’s bodies, and even their souls, instantly dissolved into countless, infinitesimally small particles.

They were so small that not even the Spiritual Power of a Legendary-rank expert, or even Su Ze’s own Perception Tentacles, could detect them.

In this state, they could pass through the gaps between a creature’s cells or even travel through the molecules that composed matter.

This was Su Ze’s second time experiencing this wondrous sensation, and he couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe.

Guided by Mr. Ya, the two approached the Central Treasure Vault and came up against the green surface of its outer wall.

They passed through the wall without any resistance.

However, Mr. Ya had managed to get this far before, only to be blocked by the Energy Shield behind the wall. It was too early to celebrate.

The next step was the most critical part.

Having passed easily through the wall, the two made contact with the green Energy Shield behind it.

Su Ze distinctly felt resistance, as if they were squeezing through an incredibly narrow passage and could only advance with great difficulty.

’But there was hope!’

After all, Mr. Ya had been stopped dead in his tracks here before, completely unable to advance.

Now, even though there was resistance, they were still able to move forward.

Su Ze could clearly feel Mr. Ya pushing forward with all his might. "Nihility" had a very short duration; if they couldn’t break into the vault before the skill wore off, it would be another failure.

"That was a close one!" Mr. Ya said with a grin.

"What would’ve happened if the skill’s duration ran out while we were in the middle of it? Would we have been stuck inside the wall?" Su Ze asked curiously.

"We wouldn’t have gotten stuck. This wall is too solid for that. Our bodies probably would’ve been sheared in two—one half inside, the other half outside."

They didn’t dwell on the topic, as their attention was captured by the contents of the vault.

’There are upgrade materials for me in here, and more than one!’

The moment Su Ze entered, he felt a strong pull. Focusing on the sensation, he determined that there were two upgrade materials and several enhancement materials.

He couldn’t help but feel overjoyed. ’Worthy of an Alien Divine Spirit’s vault, indeed.’

The materials for upgrading or enhancing any given skill were not exclusive; any material compatible with a skill could be used to strengthen it.

Su Ze currently had ten Tier-4 skills waiting to be upgraded, and his other skills could also be leveled up if he found suitable materials.

This meant that at his current stage, it was ironically easiest for him to find suitable materials.

Once most of his skills were upgraded, finding appropriate materials would become much more difficult.

Mr. Ya’s face lit up as well. "I’m sensing something too. There must be materials in here for me as well."

However, they didn’t immediately seek out the materials that were calling to them. Instead, they first took a look around.

The space inside the vault wasn’t particularly large, so the number of items was limited. But when it came to treasure, it was always about quality over quantity.

All sorts of items were arranged in a circle, lining the wall of the round chamber.

The chest was fixed to the floor of the vault, but its material was clearly different from that of the vault’s construction.

Su Ze and Mr. Ya were both captivated by the treasure chest. Ignoring everything else, they immediately went to examine the large chest.

"It’s locked, of course," Mr. Ya said, trying and failing to open the chest.

Su Ze also gave it a try. The chest was locked tight. He tried to pry it open with brute force, but even after exhausting all his strength, the lid wouldn’t budge an inch.

"What kind of sadist puts a locked chest inside a locked vault!" Su Ze grumbled.

They had no choice but to give up. For now, they could only wait for Mr. Ya’s "Nihility" skill to cool down and then try to phase into the chest.

"Nihility" had a rather long cooldown, so the two could only set the chest aside for the time being and begin examining the other items displayed in the vault.

The most abundant items in the vault were various kinds of plant seeds, as well as an assortment of saplings preserved by some special method. These two categories of items took up half the vault.

Su Ze wasn’t interested in any of that.

Although there were likely many precious varieties among these seeds and saplings which, if cultivated, might yield a significant return...
