Chapter 478: Chapter 314: Tier 6 Wonder, Worthless Seed?
The Nian Race wouldn’t give him time to leisurely farm and level up. He needed to increase his strength as quickly as possible.
The two of them didn’t touch the seeds and saplings. The other half of the items consisted mostly of various evolution materials they’d never seen before, including the skill upgrade and reinforcement materials they both needed.
Following the pull they each felt, Su Ze and Mr. Ya first picked out the materials they needed.
The two upgrade materials that drew Su Ze’s attention were a giant longhorn and a cylindrical piece of metal.
As for reinforcement materials, there were four of them.
Su Ze picked up the longhorn. It felt heavy in his hand. When he injected a sliver of evolutionary power into it, the horn unexpectedly flashed with a purple light.
"A tier-seven material!"
He was taken aback. ’This material’s tier is a bit too high.’
He then checked the cylindrical piece of metal and was shocked to find it was also a tier-seven material!
The other four reinforcement materials were all tier-six.
"Sheesh! It looks like the lowest-grade materials in this vault are tier-six," Mr. Ya exclaimed in amazement.
He had also found three materials for himself, but they were all tier-six, which made sense given his lower skill levels.
Mr. Ya had yet to upgrade all his skills to tier-four or higher, so he simply couldn’t use materials that were too advanced.
"These materials alone are priceless, but we don’t know their functions. Let’s pack them all up and ask the Mother Tree when we get out," Su Ze said.
After taking the materials he needed, Su Ze didn’t waste any more time on the pile of mysterious items. He turned to the last corner of the vault, where boxes of various sizes held many things of unknown purpose.
The two of them opened the boxes one by one to identify the contents.
"These seem to be natural medicines."
They opened over a dozen boxes in a row, all filled with natural medicines they didn’t recognize.
They didn’t dare ingest unknown medicines, so the two of them put the boxes into their storage items, planning to ask the Mother Tree about them later.
After stowing away dozens of boxes of natural medicine, only two items remained: a transparent glass bottle that came up to their waists, and a small black box set off to the side.
Su Ze lifted the glass bottle. It was filled with a clear liquid. He opened the cap, swirled the contents, and sensed a familiar essence from the liquid within.
He took a small vial from his Storage Ring. It contained a single drop of liquid. A quick comparison confirmed it was identical to the liquid in the large bottle.
"Boss, what is that?" Mr. Ya asked curiously.
"Evolutionary Liquid. It’s water from the Miracle Spring," Su Ze answered.
The first time he met the Mother Tree, she had gifted him three drops of water from the Miracle Spring. Su Ze had since used two of them, keeping the last drop with him at all times.
In the outside world, this stuff was incredibly precious—so rare that you couldn’t buy it even if you had the money.
A single drop was worth tens of billions, but the crucial point was that it was impossible to buy. It was only produced at the Miracle Oasis, with a strictly limited sale of just one or two drops per year.
The water’s uses were even more varied. Su Ze himself knew of dozens of its benefits; it seemed to dabble in a bit of everything, like a panacea.
Of course, from Su Ze’s current perspective, while the Evolutionary Liquid had many effects, none of them were particularly potent. It was a jack-of-all-trades, master of none.
That was why, over time, Su Ze hadn’t paid it much mind.
But now, seeing that the ship’s previous owner had stored such a large bottle of Evolutionary Liquid, Su Ze realized it was probably more useful than he had imagined. He immediately put the entire bottle into his Storage Ring.
Finally, the only thing left in the vault they hadn’t examined was a small black box. Filled with anticipation, they opened it, only to stare, stunned, at what was inside.
Lying in the box was something that looked like a sunflower seed.
"This... I guess it’s another seed?" Mr. Ya said uncertainly.
Su Ze nodded, but wondered aloud, "If they’re all seeds, why store this one by itself instead of with the others?"
"Maybe it’s an especially precious Spirit Plant Seed?" Mr. Ya guessed.
"If it were truly that precious, I think the ship’s owner would have put it in the treasure chest over there."
"Good point." Mr. Ya nodded in agreement.
Su Ze was about to put the seed down, but on second thought, he placed it, along with the black box, into his Storage Ring.
’I’ll ask the Mother Tree when I get out. I’ll see what’s so special about this seed then.’
Su Ze realized he would need to ask the Mother Tree to learn the purpose of all the materials, medicines, and other items he’d found in the vault.
It couldn’t be helped. All these things came from outer space, not from Blue Star’s native resources. Even the knowledgeable Liou Wenxin probably wouldn’t be able to identify them.
At this point, the two of them had explored the entire vault, except for the large treasure chest in the center.
The haul wasn’t as impressive as they had hoped.
At least, the God-tier extracts, Bloodline Crystals, or divine artifacts that Su Ze had been hoping for were nowhere to be found.
’Still, I can’t be too greedy,’ he thought. The upgrade materials alone had made this trip worthwhile.
Not to mention the many advanced materials and medicines—resources that were simply unobtainable on Blue Star.
Now, whether they wanted to leave the Central Treasure Vault or continue to explore the chest, they had to wait for Mr. Ya’s "Void" skill to come off cooldown.
With nothing else to do while they waited, they both began to absorb the upgrade materials they had just acquired.
Su Ze took out the longhorn, injected his evolutionary power into it, activated the energy within, and began the absorption process.
