Chapter 28: Train
After changing into warm clothes, Loid stood outside, just at a little distance from the open gate of the building.
He felt the cold wind as it passed through his body; he tightly crossed his arms, feeling chills. Those clothes weren’t doing a good job anymore.
He looked back. Others stood inside, crossing their arms and watching him; snow wasn’t touching them, but since the door was open, they also felt the cold air of this unexpected winter, and it looked like they weren’t enjoying it either.
Shivering. He decided to buy his snow train immediately and head back to the warm heater room.
He opened the system store panel.

He buyed.
It appeared in front of him.
It had five carriages, and not rubber or normal metal round tires; it was like tank chain tires; every carriage had three and another three on the other side, a total of six tank-type tires.
Would it really move on snow without a problem? Loid thought. He wasn’t sure; while buying, he was just trusting the description that the system showed him.
The description said it wouldn’t be buried under snowstorms while it was moving... and standing; obviously, it would get under the snow if it kept snowing on it, and there was another reason he bought this train.
Because it doesn’t need fuel. It was magical; it said this train can travel infinitely, while absorbing natural energy from the environment, and it wasn’t a solar energy description clearly stating that energy would only be available on snowy land, which means it would be useless on normal roads. Well, it’s a train, so...
"Wow! It’s so awesome!’’ Veronica said, passing Loid, running to the train, touching it, then running back in.
"It’s so cold!....aChoo!"
"Sweetheart, I told you to wear a sweater under a jacket," Elizabeth said.
Loid walked back to shelter; they closed the door, and room temperature started turning normal again.
"So, are we leaving right now?" He asked.
"Yes, sweety, we just have to load all things, ’’ Elizabeth said, looking at him.
Loid gazed at everyone. Since everyone already knows almost everything, even without him directly telling them anything, he decided to tell them some features of the train.
"Well, we only need to bring food and other things; no need for water. This train had a feature of turning snow into water and also purifying it."
"Oh, that’s great," Elizabeth said.
"Yeah, it also had a kitchen, three bathrooms, four bedrooms, and we also don’t need to worry about fuel "
"Really!’’
"Yeah, so let’s just take food, clothes, bedsheets, bathing material, etc."
’’I want to bring a videogame console,’’ Veronica demanded.
Loid just shrugged at her.
Elizabeth chuckled.

"Sure, sweetheart, no one said you can’t,’’

Some time later, they were inside the train, ready to leave.
The temperature inside was warm; the purpose of this train was to provide comfortable travel in this type of environment. He wasn’t an idiot to spend more than fifty thousand System points for nothing.
"We had to leave so much here..’’ Veronica complained again.
"Sigh, sweetheart, we can’t do anything about this,’’ Elizabeth said, consoling her daughter.
Yeah, this was her tenth time complaining.
Loid didn’t feel much better either, though the things were not his things; but still, they could use it if only he had more points to buy storage space, but it was gonna take him months to earn that much just by killing zombies... if some demons fell in front of him. Well, he would only kill them if they tried to harm him. Why I omen myself.
"Ah, well, I don’t know how to drive, so who was going to drive this?" Loid asked.
"Mum knows how to drive,’’ Veronica said, looking at him.
Elizabeth hesitated, looking at the steering wheel and gears.
"I know, but this looks difficult..."
"I can drive this; it looks like a truck. I drove a truck before," Amilia said.
"Yeah, my mom knows how to drive trucks," Alice announced proudly.
Amilia and Elizabeth chuckled.
Veronica snorted.
—
Amilia sat in the driving seat.
This driving carriage is quite big. Three people can easily sit in the front next to the driving seat.
Laila, Loid, and Elizabeth sat in the front. Amilia held the steering wheel.
Loid looked in the mirror above.
In the second row of seats, behind Amelia sat her husband; next to him, his daughter—Alice- and in the third row sat Veronica with twins. They were talking about something, whispering to each other, then standing up and running back into another carriage. There was a gap between seats like there was in buses or trains.

It looks like they have become friends.
Mira was also behind in some carriage probably setting up her bed room.
"Alright, I’m going to start this," Amilia said. Twisting the key.
It’s nothing like a train, more like a car, Loid thought, but good for them. Seriously he missed this taking into the account while buying this, if there was some kind of hard control then they were for, fifty thousand points wasted . Luckily it came with a truck type of steering wheels and gears, and Alice’s mother knew how to drive it.
But Loid learned his lesson so he would be more careful in the future.
The engine started to vibrate a little, silently. Yeah, it won’t create sound; that is the other reason he bought this.

To Amilia, everything felt like a dream; it’s really hard to believe their normal life turned into a dangerous adventure. Truth be told, it was exciting, but scary when she thought about her daughter and her future,
Earlier seeing those zombies walking on the snowy road, she wasn’t sure if life was ever going to become normal or what her future would be like,
and she was sure it would be nothing normal; she never wanted her daughter to live life like hers, filled with struggle and compromises, but she never wanted her life to change like this.
All she can do is pray to god, for her safety, and for everyone’s safety.
At least they were not alone; it made it a lot easier to handle things. When she was in his home she was scared, but with this group, things turned more like fun.
