Chapter 27: Darkland

In the vast, eerily dark land. There were no moon or stars in the sky; it was just filled with the darkest clouds, red thunderclaps ranging from every ten to fifty seconds, sound echoing everywhere.

But it didn’t bother the things that lived here; it was just a normal environment for them.

The only source of light here was the red lightning of the thunderclaps and the red magma coming out of the erupted volcanoes.

But for the first time in history, something unexpected happened here.

And the one to witness it was a protector of the eastern border of the Darkland.

A strong green-skinned lizard demon stood with his wide-open eyes, stunned, then blinking a few times, not believing what he was seeing was real.

That border was connected with a Black Sea Of The Abyss. And that Black Sea Of The Abyss, which was even older than the history of the whole demon race, suddenly disappeared, and in its place appeared a white land.

And the sky wasn’t as dark as Darkland either, and there was no red lightning; instead, of that white thing raining from it.

The Darkland and the white land were divided by a thick wall of lightest purple energy. He didn’t know what this energy was. So, he didn’t try to touch it or cross it.

Because the first thing he needed to do was to inform his lord. The disappearance of the Black Sea Of The Abyss wasn’t a small matter.

In the center of the Darkland stood a majestic, eerie castle, with black walls. By look, it appeared as if the high, sharp peaks of the castle were touching the sky and kissing the red thunderclaps.

Inside the castle.

In the hall, a red carpet lay dead on the floor, and behind the throne, the skull of a dragon loomed like a trophy. But what was most imposing was the figure sitting on the throne.

Seven feet tall, pitch-grayish-black-skinned demon with a golden tattoo on his left muscular arm and chest and hunger in his hollow eyes— that would make the souls of seers tremble.

He was the strongest demon lord of this Darkland, directly born from the blood of the Demon God.

But there was a frown on the face of such a figure.

The demon god fell into slumber; he was trying to control all primordial sins, but he failed, and now all those primordial sins were lost somewhere, it can anywhere in any form.

That’s worrying for him, not the slumber of the Demon God.

Beelzebub wanted those primordial sins.

"Thud!..Clang!!" The sound echoed as the massive door of the hall opened wide.

Beelzebub gazed as five figures stepped in. They were the other lords of this Darkland.

"Beelzebub, you summoned us’’ asked the goat-headed demon– Baphomet, the demon of Slaughter. The Demon God granted him this name with a power: if the people slaughter others while believing they were doing good or to gain any type of benefits, then he would gain all the strength of those slaughtered things; it can be anything, animals, humans, or even dragons.

So no one knows the current strength of the Baphomet, though everyone believed he was the weakest Demon lord.

Beelzebub didn’t reply for a while; there was eerie silence in the hall. But there was no fear in the hearts of those six people. It was possible even the castle walls would be feared by them, because the hearts of those demons were more stone-hard than these dark walls.

"You all go find primordial sins. ’’ Beelzebub ordered.

"What? ’’

Five of them looked at him as if he had lost his mind.

Beelzebub would have punished them for giving him such disrespectful looks, but he couldn’t blame them for this.

Before he explained the situation to them, one more person stepped into the hall. With his steps echoed the playful laughter.

’’Hahahaha, I guess I’m the last, ’’ The man with two purple horns on his head and red eyes looked into the hollow eyes of Beelzebub when he spoke.

" Well, look, I’m not the last, but since the last person never came at your summons, then I’m the last. Hahaha, well, I had an excuse and news to share with you. No, well, it took too much time; just come with me to Black Sea Of The Abyss. I will show you."

Bleezebub raised his brows, completely ignoring his mockery. "Did something new come out from the sea,’’ he asked.

"No, the whole sea disappeared. Can you believe it? The Whole Black Sea of Abyss just disappeared.’’

"What?.. NO, you think we’ll fall for this trick’’ Baphomet turned and said

"Did you really think I would even waste my breath to trick you fools.." He said, then looked at Beelzebub. " I’m only calling them fools, not you’’

"You!.."

"Enough, I would rather see myself.’’ Beelzebub stood up from his throne; maybe the difference between the Black Sea of the Abyss was somewhat related to the disappearance of primordial sins. He needed to find out.

"Wait!..."

— —

After a few minutes, Bleezebub stood at the border of the Darkland

"He was telling the truth’’ He looked at the wall of unknown energy and the unknown white land on the other side of the place of Black Sea of the Abyss.

He raised his hand and touched the transparent wall of unknown energy; he felt nothing. He moved across the wall, stepping onto the other side.

"This feeling’’ he muttered. He felt like this before; he remembered what this was called. Cold, snow- it was like the northern part of the other side of the human continent.

Just much less cold; he was sure it was not that place because the wind of that place could even make him use his demonic mana to warm himself, and there were high mountain peaks everywhere, but here it was just a flat land.

He turned, trying to study this unknown wall of energy dividing the border; he didn’t know what this was. Maybe the Demon God knew, but he was in deep slumber.

Primordial Sins, I need to find them before the Demon God comes out of his slumber. He would never get a chance like this again.
