Chapter 29: Ride
The five-carriage snow train moved slowly but stopped soon in front of the closed gate.
"I will open it,’’ Loid said, about to stand up, but Lalica placed a hand on his thigh, stopping him.
"You just sit here," Lalica said. She was sitting next to the door, while Loid was sitting between her and Elizabeth.
"I will open it." She opened the door of the train and stepped down, closing the door before walking to the gate. The grill was already open. She just pushed the metal gate wide open to end.
And got back on the train, sitting in her seat.
"Done," She said, smiling at Loid and closing the door.
The train moved again, getting on the streets.
"Don’t you feel cold?" Loid asked, removing the snow from Lalica’s head; she was the only one who didn’t cover her head while going out in the snow.
"Not much, just a little chilly, fresh type," she said, leaning against him.
"Looks like it wasn’t just your strength that was at a superhuman level.’’ Loid said, thinking about that massage he got after completing his first and only quest given by the system.
That time he thought the system pranked him, but it looked like, for some reason, heroines were getting rewards. Well, that was only his guess, since both Elizabeth and Lalica were the heroines, so there was a chance the system rewards were going to all the heroines.
Maybe there were some kind of patterns or some special conditions to meet that he wasn’t aware of. It can also be random.

But he was sure it wasn’t an intimate contact or anything related to their affection toward him because he had not even met Lalica when she got her reward. So this system was not that type of system. Then what type of system was it? He had no clue. What purpose did it have? He had no clue. Why had it brought him here? He had no clue.
"Darling, why aren’t you blaming me for stealing a superhuman body update reward from you?" Lalica asked, poking his cheek.
Darling. Seriously, this word is gonna give him diabetes, and the silver-haired woman who poked his other cheek just to compete with Lalica always added more sugar into his blood-pumping heart. Anyway, he didn’t stop their poking; he liked it. When they compete with each other for such stupid things, they’re just so cute.
"It wasn’t mine; it was the system’s reward, and the system isn’t mine either, so if you guys face some kind of problem in the future because of its power, then don’t blame me; I know nothing about this thing.’’ He answered her. He thought it was better to clarify sooner, though he himself felt he was too negative.
"Oh, how did you get the system? Elizabeth asked, curiously.
He looked at her before answering.
"Well, I just woke up with it’’
Maybe this boring answer would disappoint her if she was expecting some kind of mysterious story; he didn’t mind telling her that he was not from this world, but why bring unnecessary buried things, which would play no role in their life?
"Oh, Sweety, you’re so... no, we’re so lucky, aren’t we?"
She didn’t look disappointed at all. I guess I’m just overthinking.
"I’m not sure’’ He said.
"Seriously, you were sitting between such beautiful ladies, and you don’t think you’re lucky’’ Lalica said.
" Ah, wait no, we’re talking about the system, aren’t we?’’.
" Hahaha, sweety, she was just kidding. Why do you always get scared so easily’’
"Who got scared? Not me."
.
Amilia was focused on the white snowing road, controlling the steering wheel while listening to their talk, her lips curved into a smile.
But there was a question in her mind, so she decided to save a poor boy from their sweet bullying.

"Why aren’t they reacting to our train.’’ She asked. Looking at the slow-walking zombies, but they were not coming toward their train.
Loid looked at her, then at the street.
" Well, as you know, they only react to sound. Our train doesn’t create sound, and those tiers are also moving on snow smoothly, so... they would chase us if you hit one of them and create sound,’’ Loid answered her.
"Oh, I should be careful...um, but are they really dead? How is that even possible? They were still moving, like it’s just unbelievable.’’ Amilia said, even though everything was just in front of her, but still it was hard to believe. How all this was happening? This question never left her mind.
"Well, it’s not so surprising or hard to believe if you saw a train coming out of thin air,’’ Elizabeth said, chuckling.
"True.’’ Amilia laughed lightly.
She was about to ask Loid how he did that, summoning a train out of nowhere.
But she didn’t, as she had already heard him saying he didn’t know anything about the system, so she asked him something else.
"So, Loid, how long have you known Lalica and Alice?"
"Um, a day"
"Oh, I see. My bad, I thought you were studying in the same university as them; guess not since you are younger than them. So how did you meet them...’’
"Ami, bring your ear here’’ Elizabeth said, leaning toward her.
There was a gap between the joint seat she was sitting on and the driver’s seat.
Alimila leaned toward her without moving her eyes from the road.
Elizabeth reached for her ear and whispered.
"Stop forcefully trying to match-make between him and your daughter..."
"No, I wasn’t ..."
"Let me finish; I’m saying I would do it myself, seeing the right opportunity, and you can join. want to cheat on your old husband for young..."

"Nonsense..Cought! Cough!..." She choked on her own saliva.
"Alimila, are you alright?" Her husband asked from the seat behind.
"Mom, I’ll bring you water." Alice said, standing up.
"No.., cough!..dear I’m fine.." Alimia said.
"Are you sure, Mom?" Alice asked
"Yeah," Alimia said and glared at Elizabeth.
"Sorry," Elizabeth gave her an apologetic look.
"Thud!"
Their ride shook.
"Ah! Someone came under the train." Alimia panicked.
"Don’t worry, it’s probably a zombie," Loid said, unbothered.
"Probably?!" Amilia looked at him. What you mean by probably?
